Definitions
- the field of the present invention is that of the light modules for a motor vehicle, and in particular the lighting and / or signaling modules.
- a motor vehicle is equipped with headlamps, or headlights, intended to illuminate the road in front of the vehicle, especially at night or in bad weather.
- headlamps can generally be used in two lighting modes: a first mode “high beam” and a second mode “low beam”.
- the "high beam” mode provides strong illumination of the road far ahead of the vehicle, with the risk of dazzling oncoming road users.
- the “low beam” mode provides more limited road lighting, but still offers good visibility without dazzling other road users. These two lighting modes are complementary.
- the projectors may comprise one or more light modules comprising a light source, an optical deflection element, a projection optics, each of these elements being mounted on a support.
- Each element of the module is fixed to the support by at least one fixing element, the support being itself fixed to the vehicle.
- the elements usually constituting these light modules are generally bulky and complicated to assemble and parameterize so as to obtain light rays that meet the photometric standards.
- the present invention aims to provide a light module whose mounting and adjustment are simplified.
- a light device for a motor vehicle comprises at least one light module, the light module comprising at least one source a light source, a support of the light source and an optical element able to receive rays emitted by the light source, the optical element comprising means for positioning this optical element on the support in a predetermined position and elastic fixing means for this optical element on the support in the predetermined position.
- the light device comprises a plate on which are arranged the at least one light module and a projection lens, the projection lens forming a secondary optics while the optical element or elements associated with the light module form primary optics.
- the predetermined position is understood as the desired theoretical position of the optical element with respect to the position of the light source (s).
- the positioning means make it possible to ensure the correct position of the optical element before it is fixed on the support of the light source. And according to the invention, the assembly of a light module is facilitated by the integration of positioning means and elastic fixing means in the optical element, thus reducing the number of assembly steps or the risk of Thu.
- the light source support is arranged to receive at least one printed circuit board and / or an electronic component, or to directly form the printed circuit board on which light sources and electronic components are mounted.
- the support may consist of a flat wall against which is plated a printed circuit board, the light source being fixed on this card.
- the optical element is arranged against the support. It can in particular be plated on the support, that is to say that one of the surfaces of the optical element, particularly the projecting face of which extend the elastic fixing means, is in contact with the one of the faces of the support.
- the optical element may further comprise at least one arrangement for receiving an electronic component disposed on the support.
- This arrangement may for example comprise a window formed in the volume of the optical element, or a specific convex shape of the optical element forming clearance with respect to the support.
- the optical element may comprise at least one arrangement in the form of a recess for passing air towards the support, to allow the cooling of one or more components, in particular electronic components, of the light module, and for example the sources bright.
- the arrangement can in particular consist of one or more windows passing through the optical element.
- the positioning means of the optical element may comprise male elements, respectively female, configured to cooperate with female elements, respectively male, carried by the support of the light source.
- the positioning means carried by the optical element take the form of one or more pins complementary (s) of one or more bores made in the support.
- the bore may take the form of an oblong hole.
- one of the half-moons at the end of the oblong hole is wider than the half-moon at the other end of the oblong hole.
- the pin cooperating with this oblong hole has a corresponding shape, the combination of the two forms between them acting as a key.
- the pin of the positioning means of the optical element is dimensioned so as to be able to enter the bore on the side of the larger half-moon and then to be put in place and retained on the half-moon side. the narrowest moon.
- the resilient fixing means comprise at least one elastic blade, carried in particular by a segment or a frame projecting from the optical element, configured to cooperate with the rim of a plate, the elastic blades being deformed at the passage of the optical element along this flange to return to their original position and snap back of that flange when the optical element is in the predetermined position.
- the elastic blades will deform elastically in contact with the plate to resume their original shape behind it, the edge of the plate then forming a stop against the release of the elastic blades.
- the blades have for this purpose a shape suitable for being deformed elastically in one direction of passage and to be blocked in the other direction, and for example an inclined plane and a stop at the free end of this inclined plane.
- the elastic fixing means and the support are configured to cooperate only in a predetermined position of the optical element on the support.
- the elastic fastening means comprise a frame and the elastic blade carried by this frame, and each frame has an amount configured to come into contact with an arrangement formed in the support. This arrangement can take any form allowing the cooperation with the amount, and can in particular take the form of a shoulder on which the amount of the frame comes to rest.
- the elastic fixing means can on the one hand participate in the positioning by the shape of the frame and the amounts that compose it, and their cooperation with complementary forms provided on the support, before playing with on the other hand, their role of maintaining the optical element in this predetermined position
- the optical element is made of a transparent or translucent material.
- the transparent or translucent material may comprise polycarbonate (PC), polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), silicone or any related material. It can be provided that certain parts of the optical element are made of a material different from that used for the rest of the other parts of this optical element.
- the elastic fastening means are essentially composed of polycarbonate and / or polymethylmethacrylate, while the remainder of the optical element is composed of silicone. This ensures that the portion of the optical element directly facing the light sources or electronic components arranged on the support is made of silicone which is a more heat-resistant material produced by these components.
- the optical element can be made by any industrial process used for the manufacture of similar parts. Alternatively, the optical element is made by molding or injection. Each element or sub-part of the optical element may be made by a different method than that used to manufacture the other elements or sub-parts of the optical element.
- the optical element may comprise one or more optical elements forming, by way of example, at least one microlens acting as primary optics directly in the vicinity of the light source or sources, in particular in applications in light devices for a motor vehicle where the light modules are mounted on a plate on which is also positioned a projection lens then forming a secondary optics.
- the optical element comprises a plurality of microlenses, each microlens being intended to cooperate with a distinct light source, being opposite this light source when the support element is in the predetermined position relative to the support.
- Each pair formed by a light source and a microlens is configured to participate in the formation of a selectively activatable light segment, in particular by independent control of each of the light sources. By activatable selectively, it will be understood that the light segment can be activated, either automatically or by an action of the user, independently or not other light segments, adjacent or not.
- the elastic fixing means extend on either side of the optical elements. In other words, it is expected that one has a layout in series of these optical elements, and that the resilient fixing means are arranged on the end edges of the support in the main direction of this series.
- the optical element is then relatively arranged on the support by pressing on the upper part of the support and by pressing on the lower part of the support.
- These two supports are made at equal distance, or essentially at equal distance from the microlenses. This arrangement ensures that the microlenses are in a position where they collaborate with the light source regardless of manufacturing tolerances that could lead to a positioning problem.
- the light module may further comprise at least one thermal conduction member.
- the thermal conduction member is in particular arranged to conduct the heat emitted by the light source to a heat sink.
- the thermal conduction member comprises a base, configured to be in contact with the support, and at least one gripping finger for positioning the thermal conduction member.
- the base can be made from material with the gripping finger, or be made distinctly.
- the gripping finger comprises at least one orifice to allow the gripping of the thermal conduction member.
- the orifice (s) are arranged to enable grasping of the gripping finger, in particular by an adjusting machine, in order to correctly orient the thermal conduction member so that, when the thermal conduction member (s) are in the predetermined position, the or the supports can be arranged on the corresponding thermal conduction member.
- the base, the support and the optical element each comprise a fixing orifice, the orifices coming face to face to receive a fixing means.
- the mounting holes of the support and the optical element are slightly larger than that of the base, in order to compensate for a deviation from the manufacturing tolerances.
- the fastening means may be a screw, a rivet, a rivet, glue or any other suitable fastening means.
- the means Fixing is a screw.
- the fixing hole of the base comprises a thread corresponding to that of the screw. Fixing all the elements of the light module between them is provided by a single fastening means.
- the base has at least one indexing pin and the light source support has at least one indexing hole.
- the indexing pins are intended to cooperate with the indexing orifices to properly position the support on the base before being fixed by the fixing means described above.
- the indexing pins have a shape and dimensions complementary to those of the indexing orifices.
- optical element is in place on the support without the last fixing screw, in particular by virtue of the joint action of indexing means, elastic fastening means and the collaboration of the amounts on the shoulder.
- the assembly of an optical element, a support and a base has the advantage of creating a light module, which can be assembled and adjusted easily in a vehicle headlight.
- the invention relates to a luminous device comprising the light module as previously described with a light source support, the light source and the optical element, and a projection lens forming a secondary optics configured to receive and deflect the light rays. deviated by the optical element forming the primary optics.
- Each pair formed by a light source and a primary optics can cooperate with a secondary optics of their own, or with a common secondary optics.
- the light device described by the invention can be used in a advantageous for headlamps with ADB (Adaptive Driving Beam) adaptive lighting function.
- ADB Adaptive Driving Beam
- Such an ADB function is intended to automatically detect a user of the road likely to be dazzled by a beam of light emitted in headlight mode by a projector, and to modify the outline of this beam of light in a manner to create a shadow zone at the location of the detected user.
- the advantages of the ADB function are multiple: comfort of use, better visibility compared to a lighting in dipped beam mode, better reliability for the change of mode, risk of dazzling greatly reduced, driving safer.
- the possibility of modifying the illumination beam is ensured by the division of all the rays emitted by the light sources into selectively activatable vertical segments. This division is ensured by the separation of the light rays by the specific association of a light source and a microlens, all producing little or no parasitic rays due to the presence of a microlens in the direct vicinity of the light. 'a source.
- the light module according to the invention is therefore particularly suitable for the application of an ADB function.
- the longitudinal, vertical and transverse denominations relate to an axis corresponding to the general direction of the rays emitted by the light source.
- the longitudinal direction corresponds to the general direction of the light rays emitted by the light source.
- the forward direction designates the direction of emission of light rays by the light source, the backward direction designating the opposite direction.
- the light module 1 comprises at least one light source 2, a support 3 of the light source 2 and an optical element 4 arranged on the path of the rays emitted by the light source 2, in particular to deflect and arrange them to participate in the creation a lighting beam and / or signaling of a motor vehicle.
- the light module 1 comprises five light sources 2.
- the support 3 has the general shape of a thin plate delimited by a first face 39 where the light sources 2 are arranged, and a second face 391 opposite to the first. These two faces are delimited by an upper edge, a lower edge, and two lateral edges.
- the support 3 may in particular comprise a printed circuit board, on which the light sources 2 and electronic components are arranged.
- the end of the first face 39 of the support 3 in the vicinity of the upper edge is narrower than the end of the first face 39 in the vicinity of the lower edge.
- the width reduction is achieved by at least one narrowing zone 36 formed by a shoulder 37, which creates a bearing surface 38 substantially parallel to the upper edge of the support 3.
- the light sources 2 are arranged on the part of the support 3 arranged between the narrowing zone 36 and the lower edge.
- the light sources 2 are arranged in a transverse series, perpendicular to the lateral edges of the support 3.
- the support 3 comprises, on the first face 39 between the lower edge and the light sources 2, one or more electronic components 31.
- These electronic components 31 can be of any type and of any nature allowing the accomplishment of a function in connection with the light module 1, such as the selective activation of one or more light sources 2.
- the support 3 further comprises a first indexing orifice 32 and a second indexing orifice 33, arranged one in the vicinity of the upper edge of the support 3 and the other in the vicinity of the lower edge.
- These orifices 32, 33 have in the illustrated example a section of cylindrical or substantially cylindrical shape.
- the two indexing orifices 32, 33 may be through, that is to say extend from one face to the other of the support 3.
- the support 3 further comprises an indexing hole 34 of oblong shape, which is disposed in the vicinity of the first indexing hole 32 and the light sources 2, and a central bore 35, through.
- the optical element 4 is arranged facing the first face 39 of the support 3, namely the face on which the light sources 2 are arranged.
- the optical element 4 has a thin plate shape delimited by an internal face. 49 brought facing the support 3 when the light module is assembled, and an outer face 40 opposite to the inner face 49.
- the width and the thickness of the optical element 4 are essentially identical to those of the support 3, and whose length is less than that of the support 3. Depending on the orientation chosen and in particular illustrated on the figure 1 the width corresponds to the dimension of the optical element 4 and the support 3 in the transverse direction, the thickness corresponds to the dimension of the optical element 4 and the support 3 in the longitudinal direction and the length corresponds to the dimension of the optical element 4 and the support 3 in the vertical direction.
- the optical element 4 comprises an elastic holding portion 62, a treatment portion 64 of the light rays and a fixing portion 66.
- the processing portion 64 of the light rays of the optical element 4 comprises one or more microlenses 42, which in the illustrated example are arranged in a transverse series.
- the one or more microlenses 42 project from the outer face 40 of the optical element 4, having a hemispherical or essentially hemispherical shape, arranged to collaborate with the light sources 2.
- the microlenses 42 are aligned in front of the light sources 2 when the optical element 4 is attached against the support 3, having a longitudinal clearance so as not to crush the light sources 2 when the optical element 4 is pressed against the support 3.
- the microlenses 42 collaborate with the light sources 2 so as to project in a controlled manner the light rays emitted by the light sources 2.
- microlenses 42 form primary optics 41 when, as will be described below, the light module 1 involved in forming the optical element 4 is mounted in a light device 10 further comprising a projection lens 104 forming a secondary optics.
- the optical element 4 further comprises a recess 43 and the microlenses 42 are arranged along one of the edges delimiting this recess.
- the recess is of substantially rectangular shape. It is understood that this recess 43 has the role of allowing the release by air of the heat produced by the light sources 2.
- the optical element 4 comprises an arrangement 44 arranged to create a clearance between the optical element 4 and the support 3 when these two parts are plated against each other. the other. It is thus possible to have on the support 3 a large electronic component.
- the optical element 4 comprises, on the inner face 49, an indexing pin 45 (visible on the figure 2 ) of oblong shape, disposed on a delimiting edge the recess 43 opposite the microlenses 42. Thus, during the assembly of the light module 1, the indexing pin 45 of the optical element 4 extends toward the support 3.
- the fixing portion 66 of the optical element 4 comprises a through bore 47.
- the bore 47 has a circular shape.

Description
The field of the present invention is that of the light modules for a motor vehicle, and in particular the lighting and / or signaling modules.
A motor vehicle is equipped with headlamps, or headlights, intended to illuminate the road in front of the vehicle, especially at night or in bad weather. These headlamps can generally be used in two lighting modes: a first mode "high beam" and a second mode "low beam". The "high beam" mode provides strong illumination of the road far ahead of the vehicle, with the risk of dazzling oncoming road users. The "low beam" mode provides more limited road lighting, but still offers good visibility without dazzling other road users. These two lighting modes are complementary.
In each of these modes of operation, in order to avoid dazzling oncoming road users, it is necessary to master the positioning and orientation of each of the projectors, and more particularly of each of the components of these components. projectors.
The projectors may comprise one or more light modules comprising a light source, an optical deflection element, a projection optics, each of these elements being mounted on a support. Each element of the module is fixed to the support by at least one fixing element, the support being itself fixed to the vehicle.
The elements usually constituting these light modules are generally bulky and complicated to assemble and parameterize so as to obtain light rays that meet the photometric standards.
In this context, the present invention aims to provide a light module whose mounting and adjustment are simplified.
A light device for a motor vehicle according to the invention comprises at least one light module, the light module comprising at least one source a light source, a support of the light source and an optical element able to receive rays emitted by the light source, the optical element comprising means for positioning this optical element on the support in a predetermined position and elastic fixing means for this optical element on the support in the predetermined position. The light device comprises a plate on which are arranged the at least one light module and a projection lens, the projection lens forming a secondary optics while the optical element or elements associated with the light module form primary optics.
The predetermined position is understood as the desired theoretical position of the optical element with respect to the position of the light source (s).
The positioning means make it possible to ensure the correct position of the optical element before it is fixed on the support of the light source. And according to the invention, the assembly of a light module is facilitated by the integration of positioning means and elastic fixing means in the optical element, thus reducing the number of assembly steps or the risk of Thu.
The light source support is arranged to receive at least one printed circuit board and / or an electronic component, or to directly form the printed circuit board on which light sources and electronic components are mounted. By way of non-limiting example, the support may consist of a flat wall against which is plated a printed circuit board, the light source being fixed on this card.
The optical element is arranged against the support. It can in particular be plated on the support, that is to say that one of the surfaces of the optical element, particularly the projecting face of which extend the elastic fixing means, is in contact with the one of the faces of the support.
The optical element may further comprise at least one arrangement for receiving an electronic component disposed on the support. This arrangement may for example comprise a window formed in the volume of the optical element, or a specific convex shape of the optical element forming clearance with respect to the support.
The optical element may comprise at least one arrangement in the form of a recess for passing air towards the support, to allow the cooling of one or more components, in particular electronic components, of the light module, and for example the sources bright. The arrangement can in particular consist of one or more windows passing through the optical element.
The positioning means of the optical element may comprise male elements, respectively female, configured to cooperate with female elements, respectively male, carried by the support of the light source. By way of nonlimiting example, it may be provided that the positioning means carried by the optical element take the form of one or more pins complementary (s) of one or more bores made in the support. In particular, the bore may take the form of an oblong hole. In a particular embodiment, one of the half-moons at the end of the oblong hole is wider than the half-moon at the other end of the oblong hole. It can then be provided that the pin cooperating with this oblong hole has a corresponding shape, the combination of the two forms between them acting as a key. In another alternative, the pin of the positioning means of the optical element is dimensioned so as to be able to enter the bore on the side of the larger half-moon and then to be put in place and retained on the half-moon side. the narrowest moon.
According to one characteristic of the invention, provision may be made for the means for positioning the optical element to comprise at least one amount of the elastic fixing means and for the complementary positioning means to comprise at least one bearing surface formed by an edge. of the support, the amount resting on the bearing surface to bring the optical element into the predetermined position.
The resilient fixing means comprise at least one elastic blade, carried in particular by a segment or a frame projecting from the optical element, configured to cooperate with the rim of a plate, the elastic blades being deformed at the passage of the optical element along this flange to return to their original position and snap back of that flange when the optical element is in the predetermined position.
By snapping it is understood that during the placement of the optical element on the support, the elastic blades will deform elastically in contact with the plate to resume their original shape behind it, the edge of the plate then forming a stop against the release of the elastic blades. The blades have for this purpose a shape suitable for being deformed elastically in one direction of passage and to be blocked in the other direction, and for example an inclined plane and a stop at the free end of this inclined plane. Once the optical element in place, the elastic blades are no longer compressed by the edges of the support and they resume their original shape, which brings them in contact at the face of the plate facing the opposite of the optical element.
The elastic fixing means and the support are configured to cooperate only in a predetermined position of the optical element on the support. More particularly, the elastic fastening means comprise a frame and the elastic blade carried by this frame, and each frame has an amount configured to come into contact with an arrangement formed in the support. This arrangement can take any form allowing the cooperation with the amount, and can in particular take the form of a shoulder on which the amount of the frame comes to rest.
On peut observer de ce qui précède que les moyens de fixation élastiques peuvent d'une part participer au positionnement par la forme du cadre et des montants qui le composent, et leur coopération avec des formes complémentaires ménagées sur le support, avant de jouer d'autre part leur rôle de maintien de l'élément optique dans cette position prédéterminéeIt can be observed from the foregoing that the elastic fixing means can on the one hand participate in the positioning by the shape of the frame and the amounts that compose it, and their cooperation with complementary forms provided on the support, before playing with on the other hand, their role of maintaining the optical element in this predetermined position
The optical element is made of a transparent or translucent material. By way of non-limiting example, the transparent or translucent material may comprise polycarbonate (PC), polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), silicone or any related material. It can be provided that certain parts of the optical element are made of a material different from that used for the rest of the other parts of this optical element. For example, the elastic fastening means are essentially composed of polycarbonate and / or polymethylmethacrylate, while the remainder of the optical element is composed of silicone. This ensures that the portion of the optical element directly facing the light sources or electronic components arranged on the support is made of silicone which is a more heat-resistant material produced by these components.
The optical element can be made by any industrial process used for the manufacture of similar parts. Alternatively, the optical element is made by molding or injection. Each element or sub-part of the optical element may be made by a different method than that used to manufacture the other elements or sub-parts of the optical element.
The optical element may comprise one or more optical elements forming, by way of example, at least one microlens acting as primary optics directly in the vicinity of the light source or sources, in particular in applications in light devices for a motor vehicle where the light modules are mounted on a plate on which is also positioned a projection lens then forming a secondary optics. In the light module according to the invention, it can be provided that the optical element comprises a plurality of microlenses, each microlens being intended to cooperate with a distinct light source, being opposite this light source when the support element is in the predetermined position relative to the support. Each pair formed by a light source and a microlens is configured to participate in the formation of a selectively activatable light segment, in particular by independent control of each of the light sources. By activatable selectively, it will be understood that the light segment can be activated, either automatically or by an action of the user, independently or not other light segments, adjacent or not.
The elastic fixing means extend on either side of the optical elements. In other words, it is expected that one has a layout in series of these optical elements, and that the resilient fixing means are arranged on the end edges of the support in the main direction of this series.
In the predetermined position, the optical element is then relatively arranged on the support by pressing on the upper part of the support and by pressing on the lower part of the support. These two supports are made at equal distance, or essentially at equal distance from the microlenses. This arrangement ensures that the microlenses are in a position where they collaborate with the light source regardless of manufacturing tolerances that could lead to a positioning problem.
The light module may further comprise at least one thermal conduction member. The thermal conduction member is in particular arranged to conduct the heat emitted by the light source to a heat sink.
The thermal conduction member comprises a base, configured to be in contact with the support, and at least one gripping finger for positioning the thermal conduction member. The base can be made from material with the gripping finger, or be made distinctly.
The gripping finger comprises at least one orifice to allow the gripping of the thermal conduction member. The orifice (s) are arranged to enable grasping of the gripping finger, in particular by an adjusting machine, in order to correctly orient the thermal conduction member so that, when the thermal conduction member (s) are in the predetermined position, the or the supports can be arranged on the corresponding thermal conduction member.
The base, the support and the optical element each comprise a fixing orifice, the orifices coming face to face to receive a fixing means. The mounting holes of the support and the optical element are slightly larger than that of the base, in order to compensate for a deviation from the manufacturing tolerances. The fastening means may be a screw, a rivet, a rivet, glue or any other suitable fastening means. In particular, the means Fixing is a screw. The fixing hole of the base comprises a thread corresponding to that of the screw. Fixing all the elements of the light module between them is provided by a single fastening means.
The base has at least one indexing pin and the light source support has at least one indexing hole. The indexing pins are intended to cooperate with the indexing orifices to properly position the support on the base before being fixed by the fixing means described above. For this purpose, the indexing pins have a shape and dimensions complementary to those of the indexing orifices.
It is understood that the optical element is in place on the support without the last fixing screw, in particular by virtue of the joint action of indexing means, elastic fastening means and the collaboration of the amounts on the shoulder.
The assembly of an optical element, a support and a base has the advantage of creating a light module, which can be assembled and adjusted easily in a vehicle headlight. In particular, it is conceivable to fix the light module according to the invention on an element of the vehicle headlight, in particular a mounting plate or a housing. It is also possible to integrate more than one light module according to the invention into a vehicle headlamp.
The invention relates to a luminous device comprising the light module as previously described with a light source support, the light source and the optical element, and a projection lens forming a secondary optics configured to receive and deflect the light rays. deviated by the optical element forming the primary optics.
Each pair formed by a light source and a primary optics can cooperate with a secondary optics of their own, or with a common secondary optics.
The light device described by the invention can be used in a advantageous for headlamps with ADB (Adaptive Driving Beam) adaptive lighting function. Such an ADB function is intended to automatically detect a user of the road likely to be dazzled by a beam of light emitted in headlight mode by a projector, and to modify the outline of this beam of light in a manner to create a shadow zone at the location of the detected user. The advantages of the ADB function are multiple: comfort of use, better visibility compared to a lighting in dipped beam mode, better reliability for the change of mode, risk of dazzling greatly reduced, driving safer.
Le module lumineux selon l'invention se prête donc particulièrement à l'application d'une fonction ADB.The possibility of modifying the illumination beam is ensured by the division of all the rays emitted by the light sources into selectively activatable vertical segments. This division is ensured by the separation of the light rays by the specific association of a light source and a microlens, all producing little or no parasitic rays due to the presence of a microlens in the direct vicinity of the light. 'a source. The light module according to the invention is therefore particularly suitable for the application of an ADB function.

In the remainder of the description, the longitudinal, vertical and transverse denominations relate to an axis corresponding to the general direction of the rays emitted by the light source. The longitudinal direction corresponds to the general direction of the light rays emitted by the light source. The forward direction designates the direction of emission of light rays by the light source, the backward direction designating the opposite direction.

The
These
Between the

The fixing
As will be described hereinafter in more detail, the elastic fixing
The gripping
The
The
During the displacement of the
Moreover, during the sliding of the
The cooperation of the positioning means, namely the positioning means 45 carried by the
In the predetermined position, the
The
The mounting method of the
Each
The device also comprises a
As a result, the
The embodiments described above are in no way limiting; it will be possible to imagine variants of the invention comprising only a selection of characteristics described hereinafter isolated from the other characteristics described, if this selection of characteristics is sufficient to confer a technical advantage or to differentiate the invention compared to the state of the art.
