Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for feeding product carriers, in particular L-boards, to a conveyor line for food products, and to a device for pivoting a cover section of a product carrier relative to a base section connected thereto around a fold line extending between the cover section and the base section.
  • Product carriers are flat, preferably rectangular, plate-like structures, e.g. of cardboard or paper, which can be subdivided into a base section as well as a cover section lying in an edge region of the product carrier. It is envisaged that a food product, such as a portion of a food product consisting of at least one slice, will be deposited on the base portion of a product carrier lying on a support surface, and then the cover portion will move upward about a crease line extending between the base portion and the cover portion and is pivoted or folded to the side towards the base portion, so that the cover portion at least partially conceals the product.
  • a food product such as a portion of a food product consisting of at least one slice
  • the product carrier together with the product, can be fed to a packaging machine in which the combination of product carrier and product is packaged.
  • the product is partially obscured by the pivoted cover portion, which enhances the presentation of the product.
  • the EP 2 559 625 B1 describes a food processing device for product portions of a food having a combination device in which the product portions are combined with product carriers, also referred to as L-boards.
  • a product carrier delivery system is designed to combine a particular product carrier of at least two different types of product carriers with the product portion, depending on a property of the product sections.
  • the product carrier delivery system includes a product carrier supply that provides various types of product carriers from different supplies of product carriers in a product carrier storage and, as a product section passes the product carrier supply, provides a product carrier depending on the property of the product section combined with the product section.
  • a folding device or a method for processing one or more L-boards is off DE 10 2011 121 642 B3 and US 5,768,857 known.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide an improved device for feeding product carriers to a conveyor line for food products or an improved device for pivoting a cover portion of a product carrier.
  • Each product carrier has at least one base section and at least one cover section associated with the base section.
  • the device comprises a pretreatment device for the product carriers, which is designed to pretreat the cover section of a product carrier with respect to its base section.
  • the feed device can supply the pretreated product carriers to the conveyor line and thus provide the conveyor line. It can be considered as a kind of dispensing device in whose memory the preferably untreated product carriers are kept ready and in which the product carriers are pretreated before they are provided to the conveyor line.
  • Pre-treatment means, in particular, that a crease line is introduced into the product carrier, an already existing crease line is weakened and / or the cover section is at least slightly pivoted away from a support for the product carrier around the crease line.
  • the cover portion may also be preconceived by the pre-treatment device and, in particular, prepared for pivoting about the crease line extending between the cover portion and the base portion.

  • the position of the cover is called, which should take this to cover the product.
  • As an intermediate position a position of the cover is referred to, which lies in the pivoting range between the starting position and the end position.
  • the delivery device may be considered as a kind of dispensing device which provides the product carriers in the conveyor line.
  • a conveyor line is, for example, a conveyor line which is arranged between a food slicing machine, which is also referred to as a high-performance slicer, and a packaging machine, or which is integrated in the slicing or packaging machine.

  • the pretreatment device may be integrated in the conveying device for conveying the product carriers along a conveying direction to the conveying line. This makes it possible in a simple manner to use the conveying path along the conveyor, the movement of the product carrier along the conveying path and / or a drive of the conveyor for pretreatment of the cover.
  • the pretreatment device is preferably designed to pretreat the cover section while the product carrier is being conveyed by the conveyor device.
  • the movement of the product carrier can thus be utilized for pretreating the cover section.

  • the axis of rotation 95 may optionally be adjustable in the horizontal direction, in particular during operation.
  • the rotation axis 95 can also run slightly obliquely to the vertical direction, whereby a good grip under the cover 15 can be made possible. Preferably, these are slightly prefolded.
  • the slightly oblique axis of rotation 95 preferably has a right angle to a plane E (see. Fig. 20 ), in which the pivoted cover portions 15 should lie after pivoting.

  • the axis of rotation 95 extends at least approximately perpendicular to the plane E.
  • Fig. 21 shows a device for pivoting a cover portion 15 of a product carrier 11 relative to a related base portion 13 about an extending between cover 15 and base portion 13 crease line 17.
  • the device comprises at least one conveyor 105, in particular a conveyor belt, with a support surface for the product carrier 11.
  • Die Device comprises a downstream of the conveyor 105 in the conveying direction F seen element 107 having a support surface 109 for the product carrier 11, wherein the support surface 109 viewed along the conveying direction F has a length substantially the length of the base portion 13, measured from the bending line 17 to to the edge of the base section remote from the crease line 17 13, corresponds.
  • the support surface 109 can be lowered relative to the support surface of the conveyor 105.
  • Fig. 21 1 it is provided that the product carrier 11 is conveyed to the support surface 109 with the cover section 15 lying behind in the conveying direction F and with the product 25 lying on the base section 13, so that at least part of the cover section 15 is above the conveyor 105b.
  • the cover portion 15 abuts on the conveyor 105b and is pivoted by the latter around the bending line 17.
  • a folding device (not shown) may be provided which, when the support surface 109 is lowered, further pivots the cover section 15, in particular until it comes into contact with the product 25.
  • Fig. 22 shows a device for pivoting a cover portion 15 of a product carrier 11 relative to a related base portion 13 about an extending between cover 15 and base portion 13 crease line 17.
  • the device comprises four short conveyor 111, in particular conveyor belts, with a support surface for a respective product carrier 11.
  • Die Conveyors 111 are rotatably arranged about a horizontal axis of rotation 113 in a direction of rotation U, in such a way that the orientation of the conveyor 111 at least substantially does not change.
  • a respective conveyor 111 can receive a product carrier 11, which is provided by a feed, not shown, and comes to rest on the conveyor 111.
  • a respective conveyor 111 can receive a product 25, wherein the product 25 comes to rest on the base portion 13 of the recorded in the rotational position A product carrier 11.
  • the product 25 can be supplied by means of a product feed 115.
  • the pivoting device 117 may comprise at least one active element 119, which can be driven from radially outward into the movement path of the cover section 15 and thus brought into operative connection with the cover section 15.
  • the active element 119 may also be fixedly mounted and has a corresponding assignment to the movement path of the cover section 15.
  • the selected number of four conveyors 111 is arbitrary. Also, more or less than four conveyors 111 may be provided.
  • Fig. 23 serves to illustrate the idea that a product carrier 11 with a product 25 and a pivoted cover portion 15 is placed above the head, so with overhead product carrier 11 in a package. As a result, the cover section 15 remains fixed.
  • a turning device can be provided which turns the product carrier 11 together with the product 25, that is, arranges it over the head.
