Die als Fenster 2 ausgeführte bewegliche Verschlusseinrichtung ist fest an einer mit dem Gebäude verbindbaren Zarge 3 gelagert. Eine einzige, kompakt aufgebaute Magnetfeldsensoranordnung 4 ist zur Lageermittlung des Magneten 1 vorgesehen und zu diesem Zweck an der fest mit dem Gebäude verbindbaren Zarge 3 angebracht. Die Magnetfeldsensoranordnung 4 weist eine Messeinrichtung 5 auf, welche durch Messung der Magnetfeldausrichtung in drei orthogonal zueinander angeordneten Ebenen die Lage des am Fenster 2 angebrachten Magneten 1 relativ zur Messeinrichtung 5 ermittelt. Zudem weist die Magnetfeldsensoranordnung 4 eine Auswerteeinheit 6 auf, welche die ermittelte Lage des Magneten 1 dem damit korrespondierenden Status des Fensters 2 zuordnet. Außerdem weist die Magnetfeldsensoranordnung 4 eine Sendeeinrichtung 7 auf, welche den ermittelten Status des Fensters 2 an eine nachgelagerte - der Einfachheit nicht dargestellten - Gebäudeeinrichtung übermittelt. Eine solche nachgelagerte Gebäudeeinrichtung kann zum Beispiel als Heizungssteuerung, Überwachungsanlage, Alarmanlage und so weiter ausgeführt sein. Für solche Gebäudeeinrichtungen ist die Information über den momentanen Status der beweglichen Verschlusseinrichtung (Fenster 2, Tür) wichtig, um entsprechende Maßnahmen, wie Absenken der Heiztemperatur, Beeinflussung eines Heizkörperthermostaten, Abgabe einer Warnmeldung und so weiter durchführen zu können.
