Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a sliding roof mechanism which enables to carry long products exceeding the height of the luggage volume by enabling to open the roof part of loading compartment in commercial vehicles, and enables the materials to be connected to a portable crane from the loading part.
  • Commercial vehicle is the general name of vehicles which are produced and used for load-carrying and passenger transportation. These vehicles are classified as light, medium-sized, heavy commercial vehicles according to their transport capacities and maximum weights. Commercial vehicles with gross vehicle weight less than 3500kg constitute the group of "light commercial vehicles”.
  • middle commercial vehicles are needed for carrying in production facilities, the reason for that is the said vehicles being able to maneuver easily inside the production facility and access whole area in the facility.
  • the middle commercial vehicles used in production facility cause inefficiency for the facility due to not being able to use portable cranes in loading the vehicle and transport of the loaded product in carrying of heavy materials.
  • the sliding roof mechanism in the vehicles are comprised of movable and fixed roof.
  • the movable roof is in the same axis with the fixed roof when the sliding roof mechanism is in fully closed state. In opening sliding roof mechanism, the movable roof moves on the rail mechanism and comes up on the fixed roof.
  • the movable cover is connected on the rail with a connection member and thus the movable roof moves on the rail mechanism.
  • the loading door is comprised of a rear cover and an upper cover which is opened by sliding on the vehicle.
  • the objective of the present invention is to provide a sliding roof mechanism which enables long loads to be carried for light commercial vehicles.
  • Another objective of the present invention is to provide a sliding roof mechanism which enables to receive material from the loading part of the light commercial vehicles via a portable crane.
  • a further objective of the present invention is to provide a sliding roof mechanism which minimizes the loads coming on the connection member provided on the sliding roof mechanism and lifting the movable cover upwards.
