Definitions

  • the invention relates to a garbage can lock with a latch arranged in a lock housing, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a garbage can lock is out of the EP 0 509 932 B1 previously known.
  • the locking device described there has a latch pivotably arranged in a housing.
  • the trap forms a locking hook which interacts with a catch hook of a counter-locking part.
  • the lock housing can be attached to a container part of a garbage container.
  • the catch hook is assigned to the cover.
  • the lock housing In a normal position of the container, the lock housing assumes a closed position. In this closed position, the latch is in a locking position with the counter-locking part.
  • the lid of the container can only be opened by operating a lock.
  • the slide In the closed position of the housing, the slide assumes its basic position. The direction of displacement is upwards in the closed position. So that the lid of the container opens automatically when it is tilted to empty the container, the opening slide is coupled in terms of movement to the trap. A shift of the opening slide from the open position to a shifted one Position leads to a shift of the case from a locking position to a release position. In the release position, the latch is out of engagement with the catch hook so that the lid can open. The shifting of the opening slide from the basic position to the shifted position takes place automatically when the container is tilted upside down.
  • a locking device for the lid of a garbage container is previously known in which a pivotable weight part is provided instead of an opening slide, which cooperates with a trap in such a way that the trap is moved from a locked position to a release position when emptied overhead.
  • a locking device is also provided, by means of which the trap is fixed in its locking position when the container is not in its tilted position for overhead emptying.
  • the locking device is formed there by a roller body, which is located in a vertically extending chamber of the housing and which is in the pivoting range of the weight part.
  • a garbage can lock according to the preamble of claim 1 is previously known, in which an opening pivot lever pivots when tilting a housing from a basic position to a displaced position and in which an incorrect operation locking element designed as a ball can only dip into a groove machined in the back of the lock and so the displacement of the opening slide in the open position when the housing is pivoted about the opening pivot axis in the opening pivot direction. If, on the other hand, the housing is pivoted about a pivot axis other than the opening pivot axis or in a pivot direction other than the opening pivot direction about the opening pivot axis, the ball occurs in front of a locking step of the lock front wall.
  • the garbage can lock has a trap that is pivotably mounted on the housing. Via a slider that a lock cylinder can be moved, the latch can be moved against the restoring force of a leg spring from a locking position into a release position.
  • the invention is based on the object of developing a garbage can closure in an advantageous manner.
  • the trap is not only pivotable by shifting the weight part due to gravity.
  • the latch can also be pivoted by an auxiliary opening member.
  • the auxiliary opening member can, for example, be pivoted by an actuating handle of the counter-closing part.
  • the auxiliary opening member is preferably pivoted by actuating a cylinder lock or the like of the counter-locking part.
  • the auxiliary opening member can be designed as a lever. It will preferably be of a rocker-like shape.
  • One arm of the opening auxiliary member forms an actuating arm on which, for example, a locking member of the lock cylinder engages.
  • the inside of the container can also be attacked on the actuating arm in order to effect an emergency opening.
  • the active arm of the opening aid engages the head of the trap to move it.
  • the head is pivotably seated on a control arm of the latch and can be displaced against an elastic restoring force from the locking position by actuating the auxiliary opening element.
  • the active arm of the auxiliary opening member can engage a locking pin of the latch head in order to move it against the restoring force of the springs mentioned.
  • the latch head can be displaced pivotably with respect to the control arm.
  • a compression spring can tension the latch head against the control arm under pretension. Stops are provided for this purpose. This bias is overcome when the auxiliary opening member is pivoted.
  • the latch head leaves the locking position. He is moved over the hook.
  • the hook has a ramp.
  • the latch head or the locking pin of the latch head can slide along this.
  • the latch head is displaced in relation to the control arm and then snaps over the hook into the locking position. It is not necessary that the weight part is formed by a slide.
  • a lock is also described which is not part of the invention and which may have an anti-mishandling device.
  • This is formed by two movable mishandling elements that are assigned to the opening slide.
  • This mishandling lock ensures that a shifting of an opening slide from the basic position to the shifted position is always blocked when the housing is pivoted about a pivot axis other than the opening pivot axis or is pivoted about the opening pivot axis in a pivot direction other than the opening pivot direction .
  • the latch is only moved from its locking position to the release position when the lock housing or the container equipped with the lock housing is pivoted in the prescribed direction, namely in the overhead-emptying-tilting direction.
  • the latch remains in its locking position. Nevertheless, it is ensured that a proper emptying of the container is possible, since a pivoting of the housing or the container connected to the housing around the opening pivot axis in the correct direction of rotation leads to a release of the catch hook so that the lid can open automatically.
  • the incorrect operation blocking elements are preferably associated with mutually perpendicular bearing axes. In a development of the invention it is provided that the incorrect operation blocking element is designed as a pawl that can be pivoted about an axis.
  • the latch can be one-armed.
  • the latch can also have two arms.
  • two pawls are provided, a first pawl by one relative to the basic position horizontal pivot axis is pivotable and points upwards.
  • a second pawl can be pivoted about a vertical axis in relation to the basic position.
  • This pawl can be a two-armed pawl.
  • the pawls are preferably located in recesses in the opening slide. The recesses are open to a broad side surface of the opening slide. The arms of the pawls can pivot out of this opening if the housing is not pivoted about the opening pivot axis in the correct opening direction.
  • a locking web is assigned to each arm, which protrudes inward from a housing wall.
  • the locking pawl which has been pivoted into the locking position, steps against this locking web, so that a thrust displacement of the opening slide from the basic position into the displaced position is blocked.
  • a further development of the generic garbage can lock which has an independent meaning, provides that the opening slide forms an essentially S-shaped control groove.
  • This control groove is formed by a slot, the two end sections of which run essentially parallel to the direction of displacement of the opening slide. An intermediate section between the two end sections runs obliquely to the direction of displacement of the opening slide.
  • a control pin is guided, which sits on the free arm of a control arm of the case.
  • the latch is pivoted from a blocking position into a release position during the linear displacement of the opening slide.
  • the trap is designed with two arms. It can be pivoted about a pivot axis fixed to the housing. It forms a latch head that carries a locking pin that interacts with the catch hook.
  • the catch hook can be pivoted from the outside by actuating a lock or the like, so that the cover can also be opened when the latch is in the locked position.
  • the catch arm can also be pivoted from the inside in order to bring the catch hook out of engagement with the trap which is in the locked position. This is possible without actuating a lock, so that a person who has accidentally caught in the container can free himself.
  • the pivot axis of the one-armed latch which is in the basic position pointing upwards, runs parallel to the opening pivot axis.
  • the catch hook can be assigned to the counter-locking part in a pivotable manner.
  • the catch hook is preferably rigidly connected to the counter-locking part. It can be made of plastic and molded onto the plastic housing of the counter-locking part of the same material. The hook can, however, also be formed from a metal part, in particular from a stamped sheet metal part, which is firmly anchored in the plastic housing of the counter-closing part.
  • control pin is located approximately halfway along the control arm.
  • the control pin can have a diameter which is significantly smaller than the S-shaped control groove.
  • a retaining pin which rests in a retaining recess in the basic position of the opening slide.
  • a torque applied to the latch head by pivoting the active arm is not passed into the control slot via the control pin, but into the holding recess via the holding pin, which is arranged more favorably in terms of lever technology.
  • it is provided that it can enter a locking position with the locking web.
  • a free space can be located at the rear of the locking web, into which a retaining projection of the incorrect operation locking element can enter.
  • a pawl forming the anti-malfunction locking element this is slidably mounted in the opening slide.
  • the bearing axis of the pawl lies in a bearing shaft with a play of movement.
  • a holding arm can extend which rests in a receiving chamber of the slide. This measure also serves for operational safety, since the locking pawl cannot enter the locking position when the lock housing is swiveled in accordance with regulations.
  • the lock essentially consists of two parts, a lock housing 1, which can be attached in the upper area of the inner wall of a container that is open at the top.
  • a lid On the opposite edge of the opening of the container, a lid is hinged to which a counter-closing part 3 is assigned.
  • the counter-locking part 3 has a catch hook 4 protruding downward from the cover.
  • the catch hook 4 can move from a locked position to an unlocked position against the restoring force of a spring (cf. Fig. 3 ) can be pivoted. This can be done by operating a lock which is arranged outside the container on the top side of the lid and which can be operated by a key or a polygon.
  • the catch hook 4 can, however, also be pivoted from the inside so that an emergency opening from the inside is possible.
  • the lock housing arranged on the edge of the container has a catching shaft for the catch hook 4.
  • the catch head 19 of a trap 2 is located in the catching shaft.
  • the latch 2 has two arms and is assigned to the lock housing 1 so that it can pivot about a pivot axis 18 fixed to the housing.
  • the trap head 19 is fork-shaped. The two fork prongs hold a locking pin 20, which can be reached from under by the catch hook 4 in the locked position.
  • the latch 2 continues within the lock housing 1 with a control arm 17.
  • a control pin 16 which engages in a control groove 15 of an opening slide 5.
  • the control groove 15 has the shape of an S-shaped slot, the two end limbs 15 ', 15'"of the control groove 15 running parallel to a direction of displacement of the opening slide 5.
  • the middle section 15" extending between the two end sections 15 ', 15 "' the control groove runs obliquely to the direction of displacement of the opening slide 5.
  • the opening slide 5 is made of metal and forms a part by weight.

It can be accessed from the in Fig. 1 position shown in Fig. 2 position shown are shifted when the lock housing 1 is rotated about the opening pivot axis 6 in the direction of rotation 6 '.
  • the displacement of the opening slide 5 in the in Fig. 2 The displaced position shown is effected by the action of gravity.
  • the opening pivot axis 6 runs parallel to the pivot axis of the lid with which the closure is fixed in the closed position.
  • the opening slide 5 has two recesses 11, 12 that are open towards a broad side of the opening slide 5.
  • a one-armed pawl 7 is located in the recess 11.
  • the pawl 7 can be pivoted about a bearing axis 9 that extends horizontally in the basic position.
  • the bearing axis 9 is formed by two bearing journals which protrude laterally from the pawl 7 in directions pointing away from one another and which lie in corresponding bearing cavities of the opening slide 5.
  • the bearing axis 9 is located at the lower end of the pawl 7.
  • the arm of the pawl 7 protrudes upwards in the basic position.
  • the locking web 13 protrudes inward from the housing cover. It lies in the path of movement of the pawl 7. If the opening of the recess 11 points downwards during the pivoting movement of the lock housing 1, the one-armed pawl 7 takes the in Fig. 5 position shown. It is in a locked position and prevents the opening slide 5 from being displaced into the displaced position by a stop on the locking web 13. If the opening of the recess 11 points upwards, as in FIG Fig. 4 is shown, the pawl 7 is located in the recess 11 so that it does not interfere with the displaceability of the opening slide 5.
  • the opening slide 5 can only move into its displaced position when the rotation about the opening pivot axis 6 takes place in the correct direction, namely in the opening pivot direction designated by 6 '.
  • the mounting of the pawl 7 in the recess 11 is so easy that the pawl 7 can be pivoted solely by the action of gravity.

  • the opening slide 5 can initially shift slightly in the event of an incorrect operation until one of the pawls 7, 8 hits the locking web 13, 14, 14' assigned to it, without latch 2 is pivoted.
  • the latch 2 is thus only pivoted when the opening slide 5 is pivoted with upwardly pointing recesses 11, 12 about the opening pivot axis 6 in the direction of the opening pivot direction 6 '.
  • the opening pivoting direction corresponds to the overhead tilting emptying direction of the container.
  • FIG. 8-10b a second embodiment according to the invention is shown, which has essentially the same functionality as that in FIG Figures 1 - 7 illustrated first embodiment.
