Definitions
- the invention relates to a horological calendar system. It also relates to a watch movement comprising such a calendar system. Finally, it relates to a timepiece, in particular a wristwatch, comprising such a system or such a movement.
- the patent EP2428856B1 discloses a device for displaying the indication of the months in which the decal of a month disc is provided to cooperate with one of the twelve apertures of the dial. Although visually instantaneous, the mechanism is driven in several stages, which minimizes and distributes the energy necessary to jump the month over several days, and thus makes it possible to guarantee the chronometric precision of the watch. Even if this permanent display of the month indication is particularly discreet, it nevertheless requires a very particular aesthetic of the dial of the timepiece.
- the patent CH681673B5 proposes a one-off display device for time information in which an electro-optical display member is provided to appear, at the request of the wearer, in a window of the date disc or of the day disc, which is arranged between two calendar information.
- the masked information corresponds to the number of the month, the latter possibly appearing for example when setting an annual or perpetual calendar.
- This device has the advantage of being particularly discreet. In return, this requires complex actuation means which must be programmed in such a way that they can allow the drive over one or two angular steps of the date or day disc depending on the angular position of the window. These are, for example, electronic means. Moreover, no binding kinematics is not offered between the date or day discs and the display member, the latter being fixed.
- the patent application EP0987609 describes an annual calendar mechanism which is provided with a first kinematic drive chain for the date disc and with a second date disc correction chain which is controlled by actuation of a month cam.
- the date disc has three distinct teeth.
- a first set of teeth, formed by thirty-one teeth, is designed to be driven conventionally by a date-driving mobile.
- a second set of teeth, formed by a tooth is provided to be driven by a date correction wheel.
- a third set of teeth, formed of a tooth is provided to drive a months cam carrying a permanent display member of the month indication when the thirty-first calendar of a current month passes to the first date of the month. following.
- the patent application EP1666991 discloses a dragging annual calendar mechanism which is provided with a months wheel intended to be driven at the end of a short month by an additional tooth of the date disc when changing from thirty to thirty-one, and by an additional finger of the date mobile when changing from “thirty-one” to the first date of the following month.
- This solution has the advantage of using a particularly simple date disc, provided only with two distinct sets of teeth.
- such a sequencing requires a complex mechanism, in which the driving of the month wheel is made possible by the fact that the calendar is dragging.
- the synchronized drive of each of the elements, in particular of the date disc and of the month wheel, would indeed lead to blocking of the device.
- the month wheel carries a permanent display member for the month indication.
- the double jump of the month wheel requires the doubling of the month indication and therefore a shortening of the month indicator, which can create an unsightly effect on the dial.
- the document US4228644A shows a watch calendar system according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a horological calendar system has a simple and reliable structure while allowing the month to be displayed, at least on an ad hoc basis.

- the date wheel set 1 has a set of teeth 1b which is reduced to a tooth 1b provided to cooperate both with a set of teeth 2b of the programming assembly 2 as shown in FIG. figure 2 and with a set of teeth 3a of a mobile 3 months as shown in figure 3 .
- the teeth 1a and 1b are here arranged on two distinct levels.
- the date display member 10 or date indicator member is arranged above the month indicator member 30.
- the indication of the months is not visible to the user through a glass of the timepiece and in particular through a second window 4 made for example in a dial 99 (shown partially in the figure. figure 6 ), as long as the opening 10a formed on the member 10 is not disposed vis-à-vis the second window 4 as shown in FIG. figure 4 .
- the horological calendar system can include the dial provided with the second date display window in which the opening is arranged to appear.
- the teeth 2a, 2b of the assembly 2 are both designed to be actuated, every day, by a drive element 7 of the calendar system provided with two drive fingers 7a, 7b which are each dedicated to driving the teeth 2a, 2b.
- the finger 7b actuates the toothing 2b by means of a toothing 2c, these two toothings 2b and 2c being integral in rotation by means of a pin 200 as shown in figure 5 .
- the figure 7 represents the state of the calendar system during the display transition from the thirty-first date to the first date of the month of December.
- the finger 7a drives the teeth 2a which actuates the teeth 1a on a second angular pitch of the date wheel set.
- the date wheel set 1 has moved forward by two steps, as has the date display member 10 which has moved past 'a state displaying "30" to a state displaying "1". Consequently, the system comprises at least one tooth 1b of the date wheel set 1 arranged to allow an additional jump of the date display member 10 at the end of a month of thirty days.
- the figure 8 illustrates the final state of the calendar system after the two transitions described above.
- the month mobile 3 in particular the month display unit 30, remains stationary.
- the month mobile 3 has been positioned beforehand in such a way that the month display member 30 can indicate the display corresponding to the month of the first date indicated by the member 10.
- the figure 8 represents the calendar system configuration as of December 1st. In this configuration, the wearer of the watch is informed of the current month on the first of each month, in particular for a possible adjustment of the calendar system.
- the actuation of the mobile 3 of the months is carried out during the month when the tooth 1b acts on the toothing 3a, more particularly during the passage from the eleventh to the twelfth calendar of a current month as illustrated in the figures. figures 9 and 10 .
- the dates "10", “11” and “12" are not represented on the date display disc 10.
- the movement of the month display member 30 is not visible to the wearer of the watch given that the opening 10a is not positioned in the second window 4 of the dial 99.
- the month mobile 3 is positioned in such a way that the month display member 30 can indicate the month which will follow, as shown in the figure. figure 10 .
- a driving element 1 of the month mobile is arranged so that the month mobile or the month display member is driven while the month display member and / or the opening 10a is not visible to the user.
- the driving element is arranged so that the mobile of the months or the month display member is driven between the second and the thirtieth date indicated by the calendar system, in particular between the tenth and the month. twentieth date indicated by the calendar system.
- the driving element of the month display member is arranged to drive the month display member by one step while the date display member is driven by one step. not.
- the drive element is advantageously the date mobile. It comprises at least one tooth 1b cooperating with several teeth 3a of the mobile 3 of the months, in particular a tooth 1b cooperating with twelve teeth 3a of the mobile 3 of the months.
- Such an embodiment allows the use of a simplified date mobile, provided only with two distinct levels for the arrangement of the teeth 1a, 1b. This also results in a more compact design, with a minimized calendar module thickness.
- the toothing 1b could be arranged on the same level as the toothing 1a by means of a toothing geometry 1b which differs from that of the toothing 1a.
- a second embodiment of a timepiece 220 is described below with reference to figures 11 to 15 .

- the month display mobile is thus actuated over several angular steps of the date disc as shown in the figures. figures 11 to 13 .
- the calendar system comprises in particular a kinematic link element 8 between the date set and the month set.
- this connecting element can be produced in the form of an intermediate mobile or in the form of a system in which one or more references mesh on the one hand with the date mobile, at least on a toothed sector of the date mobile. dates, and on the other hand mesh with the mobile of the months.
- the angular position of the calendar mobile can be indexed by the bias of a jumper 5 whose head 5a is designed to cooperate with a toothing of the date wheel set.
- the angular position of the month mobile 3 is, for its part, guaranteed, except for the toothing clearances, via the connecting element which cooperates with the date mobile and the months mobile.
- the date wheel set 1 has internal teeth 1a designed to be actuated by a finger 7a which drives the dates.
- the date mobile further comprises a set of teeth 1b disposed at the outer periphery of the mobile 1 and which is designed to cooperate with a set of teeth 3a of the mobile 3 by means of the kinematic connection element. 8.
- the connecting element is rotated about an axis parallel to the P axis.
- the connecting element 8 may for example comprise a Maltese cross 8 as shown in the figures 11 to 13 .
- the Maltese cross can include projections 8a cooperating with n teeth 1b of the date wheel set.
- the Maltese cross has a set of teeth 8b cooperating by gear with a set of teeth 3a of the mobile 3 of the months.

- the angular position of the mobile 1 is indexed by means of a jumper 5 whose head 5a is provided to cooperate with the teeth 1a.
- the angular position of the mobile 3 is, for its part, guaranteed, apart from the sets of teeth, by an outer circular periphery 1c of the mobile 1, which is designed to cooperate with a polygonal or substantially polygonal profile 8c of the connecting element 8 .
- the month mobile is operated by the engagement of the toothing 1b with a toothing 8a of the connecting element 8, as well as by the engagement of the toothing 8b with the toothing 3a. Consequently, during certain steps of the date mobile, the month mobile is driven by at most 1 / n and during other steps of the date mobile, the month mobile is not driven.
- the date wheel set has four teeth 1b.
- a date jump drives the month mobile 3 over a quarter of its angular pitch, when a tooth 1b interacts with the connecting element.
- a date jump does not involve the mobile 3 of the months, when no tooth 1b interacts with the connecting element.
- the month mobile is actuated on four angular steps of the date disc.
- these actuations or drives take place during passages from the second to the third date, from the tenth to the eleventh date, from the seventeenth to the eighteenth date and from the twenty-fifth to the twenty-sixth date, which are displayed in the window. 4 of dial 99 (partially shown on figure 13 ).
- the month mobile 3 can be operated throughout the month, namely over thirty-one angular steps of the date mobile, by virtue of a suitable structure of the date mobile, the month mobile and the connecting element.
- the energy necessary for the passage of the month can be distributed over several instantaneous date jumps, without additional jumper.
- the energy devoted to changing the month indication is therefore very low and has no negative influence on the precision of the watch.
- the indication of the months is preferably not visible through the window 4, as long as the opening 10a formed on the member 10 is not disposed in the window 4.
- the opening 10a is juxtaposed with the indication of the first date "1" as shown in the figures. figures 11 to 13 .
- the month mobile 3 may be secured to a months cam or programming cam 300 for an annual or perpetual calendar as illustrated in the figures. figures 14 and 15 .
- the cam and the month mobile can form a single unit or come from the same part.
- the cam and the mobile can be attached to one another.
- Such a construction in which the cam and the mobile of the months are integral can be particularly useful for an annual or perpetual calendar system whose programming cam, due to the very structure of the system, cannot be actuated during the passage of the thirty-second. first date of a given month on the first date of the following month.
