Abstract

The invention describes an effect panel with a honeycomb structure forming a first layer with honeycomb openings extending substantially at right angles to the layer and with a second layer, which is at a distance from the first layer and designed as a glass plate. According to the invention, it is proposed that the honeycomb structure bears against a third layer made of wood and / or has reinforcements at intervals.

Description

The invention relates to an effect panel, comprising at least two layers, wherein a first layer is formed as a honeycomb structure with substantially perpendicular to the layers extending honeycomb openings and wherein a second layer is formed as a glass plate.

From the document DE 199 00 934 C2 entitled "Multi-layered component" is known a three-layer plate-shaped object whose middle layer is formed as a honeycomb plate. At least one of the outer layers is formed as a glass plate. As material for the honeycomb panel plastic is specified. Due to its structure, this object is particularly suitable as a mechanically strong component, for example as a tabletop. For use as a window or facade element of this object is less suitable, in particular because the two outer layers abut the honeycomb panel and therefore no way is provided to ventilate the space between the outer layers and the honeycomb panel and thereby the Avoid formation of condensation.

The invention has for its object to propose an effect panel, which is suitable for use as a window or facade element.

To solve this problem, there is a gap between the honeycomb structure and the glass plate. This distance allows the ventilation of the zone containing the honeycomb structure. Since it is also not the primary task of Effektpaneels to exercise a supporting function, it can be designed in two layers and the honeycomb structure can be varied almost arbitrarily in terms of structure and choice of material to achieve the desired effect. In this context, the term "effect" is understood to mean not only the visual impression but also other physical effects, as will be explained below.

The effect panel is intended primarily as a design tool for architects. When combined with a window or used as a window, its privacy effect can be compared to that of curtains. The effect panel offers above all visual protection from the outside during the day, depending on the design of the honeycomb structure only marginal daylight into the room and allows to some extent the view to the outside. During the night, especially when the room is lit inside and outside there is darkness, the visibility is reversed. But, unlike curtains, the better the view is, the farther the viewer is at the effect panel. In addition, the thermal insulation of windows can be improved with the Effektpaneel invention, but also the passive use of solar radiation can be realized. Due to the thickness and quality of the glass, the thickness and design of the honeycomb structure, the distance glass honeycomb and, where appropriate, the design of the ventilation cross-section, the damping of the solar heat input in a certain range can be well optimized.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the honeycomb structure consists of a fiber, in particular pulp fiber-containing material, for example cardboard. This material is particularly inexpensive to manufacture and process. Further advantages of the material are that it is a renewable raw material, or is this environmentally friendly disposal possible.

According to another embodiment of the invention, the honeycomb structure consists of film material, in particular plastic or metal foil material.

Another embodiment provides that the honeycomb structure is treated with a fire retardant. Such effect panels can be used as fire protection elements.

The honeycomb structure may be formed by adjacent pipe segments.

A further embodiment of the invention provides that the clear width of the honeycomb openings and / or the wall thickness between the honeycomb openings changes over the areal extent of the honeycomb structure. As a result, many optical effects can be achieved and the mentioned effects with respect to privacy, shading and thermal insulation can even vary over the area of the effect panel. The honeycomb structure can be designed in any color. It is even conceivable to provide the interior surfaces of the honeycomb openings with different colors, so that the color of the effect panel appears different when viewed from different sides.

According to another embodiment, spacers are provided between the honeycomb structure and the glass plate. As a result, the individual layers of the Effektpaneels need not necessarily be held together by a frame, but it can, for example, brackets are used. Furthermore, thanks to these spacers, honeycomb structures with a low rigidity can also be installed.

According to another embodiment, if the spacers consist of elongate elements embedded in depressions of the honeycomb structure and protrude beyond the plane of the honeycomb structure, the stiffness of the honeycomb structure is simultaneously increased.

According to another embodiment, at least one surface of the second layer formed as a glass plate is provided with a surface structure, resulting in further design possibilities.

A further embodiment of the invention provides that a third layer is provided, which is formed as a glass plate and that the honeycomb structure is arranged between the second and third layer. In this case, the honeycomb structure may be arranged at a distance from the second and third layer or it may rest against the third layer. When the honeycomb structure is in abutment with the third layer, it may be adhesively bonded to this layer.

According to another embodiment, the first and second layers are surrounded by a frame. In embodiments with three or more layers, of course, all layers can be surrounded by a frame. In this case, the frame may have openings which allow ventilation of the space between the honeycomb structure and the glass plate.

According to another embodiment, when the frame seals a space containing the honeycomb structure, bounded by two glass plates, the effect panel practically forms an insulating glass plate. The limited by two glass plates space can be at least partially evacuated or filled with a gas.

The frame can consist of various materials and profile shapes. If the attachment is provided on the outside of a building, the constancy must be respected and possibly existing ventilation openings must be designed so that it is resistant to driving rain be.

The Effektpaneel invention can be combined with insulating glass plates, for example by the second and / or third layer is a layer of insulating glass.

Another aspect of the invention relates to a facade cladding comprising effect panels according to the invention. Of course, the advantages and design possibilities mentioned above also apply to the façade cladding.

According to one embodiment of the facade cladding, the effect panels may include a third layer against which the honeycomb structure rests and which is not made of glass. The third layer may in this case consist of a material which appears suitable in terms of its strength and insulation properties.

Another embodiment of the facade cladding provides that facade profiles are arranged between the effect panels. These facade profiles can be used in a known manner for attaching the effect panels on the facade.

According to an alternative embodiment of the facade cladding joints are arranged between the effect panels, which are preferably filled with a plastically moldable material. By this measure, a facade cladding can be created, which looks almost like a uniform surface.

The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the embodiments illustrated in the drawings.

FIG. 1 shows a first, simple embodiment of an effect panel according to the invention. A first layer 1 in the form of a honeycomb structure is arranged at a distance 4 from a second layer 2, which is formed as a glass plate. The figure also shows, purely by way of example and schematically, a frame which holds the said layers together. A Z-shaped profile 6 surrounds the glass plate 2, a spacer profile 8 and the honeycomb structure 1. An end profile 9 is fastened to the profile 6 by fastening means 7, for example screws. Of course, other frame structures can be used for holding the effect panel together. Also, the Effektpaneel, as already mentioned, be constructed without a frame. Such a simple embodiment of the Effektpaneels can be used by itself, for example, indoors as a room separation or outdoor as housing of balconies, terraces and the like. Panels of this embodiment can also be combined with windows, as will be explained in more detail below.

FIG. 2 represents a second embodiment of the effect panel according to the invention with three layers. In addition to the two in connection with FIG. 1 Illustrated positions after the example FIG. 2 still a third layer 3 is present, which is also formed as a glass plate and against which the honeycomb structure 1 is applied. To the honeycomb structure 1, at least in this embodiment, no high demands made in terms of its strength and rigidity, since it is not burdened by external forces. In order for the honeycomb structure 1 to retain its shape, it can either be made sufficiently dimensionally stable or reinforced by appropriate inserts, as will be explained below. Alternatively or additionally, the honeycomb structure 1 can also be bonded by gluing to the glass plate 3, for which purpose a transparent adhesive is advantageously used.

For ventilation of the space formed by the distance 4 between the honeycomb structure 1 and the glass plate 2 openings 10 are provided in the frame, in particular in its lower and upper region, of which in FIG. 2 only one is visible, in the upper area of the effect panel. By an arrow 11, an air flow is indicated, which flows through the said space and thus prevents, for example, fogging of the glass plate 2. But it is also possible to complete the entire space between the two glass plates 2 and 3 by a suitable frame tight, to evacuate and optionally to fill with a gas. As gas are pure gases such as carbon dioxide or nitrogen, but also gas mixtures, and noble gases. Even air that has previously been dehumidified as completely as possible can be filled into the evacuated room.

FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of the effect panel, which is also constructed of three layers, but in contrast to the Effektpaneel according to FIG. 2 both glass plates 2 and 3 have a distance 4 or 5 to the honeycomb structure. Also in this example, the spaces formed by the distances 4 and 5 can be vented through openings or completely sealed by a suitable frame.

As already mentioned, as a material for the honeycomb structure 1, for example, cardboard can be used. The FIGS. 4 and 5 For example, show a honeycomb structure 1 formed from corrugated cardboard, wherein the FIG. 4 a side view of the corresponding layer 1 shows and FIG. 5 a view in the direction of arrow V in FIG. 4 represents. If necessary, the honeycomb structure 1 may be formed or reinforced so as to stand practically loosely between the glass plates 2 and 3. The FIGS. 4 and 5 show a way to reinforce the honeycomb structure made of corrugated cardboard in this example 1. Between the layers of corrugated cardboard reinforcing layers 12 are incorporated at intervals, which are stronger or made of a different material than the other layers.

FIG. 6 shows another example of a reinforcement in which slots are incorporated in the honeycomb structure, for example milled, in which reinforcing strips 13, which consist for example of plywood, inserted and optionally secured by gluing. In In some cases it may be sufficient if the slots are filled with a hardening material.

As FIG. 7 shows, the reinforcing bars 13 may protrude over the surface of the honeycomb structure 1 and thus simultaneously form spacers, which are supported on the glass plate 2 and 3, respectively. FIG. 8 shows another example of spacers that simultaneously perform a gain function. These are T-profiles 14, for example made of aluminum, which are adhesively bonded to the honeycomb structure 1, for example. In some cases, it may be sufficient to provide spacers which do not reinforce the honeycomb structure 1 and which are only punctiform supported on the glass plates 2, 3. FIG. 9 shows such an example in which arranged in a grid pins 15 penetrate the honeycomb structure 1 and protrude on both sides.

The material of the honeycomb structure 1 may be treated with a fire retardant, so that the honeycomb structure is fire-resistant or fire-retardant. If the material is made of fibers, it may be impregnated with the fire retardant. But it is also possible to coat the material with fire retardant or to integrate in the case of plastic substances with fire retardant effect in the material.

FIG. 10 shows an embodiment in which an effect panel of in FIG. 2 shown type is combined with an insulating glass 16. The insulating glass itself consists in a known manner of two spaced-apart glass plates, wherein the space between the glass plates is closed by circumferential sealing means 17.

In the figures FIGS. 11 to 13 Embodiments of effect panels are shown in which at least one insulating glass 16 is integrated into the structure of the effect panel. In the examples FIGS. 11 and 12 is designed as a glass plate third layer 3 of Effektpaneels simultaneously a layer of insulating glass 16. In the example according to FIG. 12 In addition, the second layer 2 of the effect panel designed as a glass plate is additionally a layer of an insulating glass 16 at the same time FIG. 13 is already the effect panel itself as insulating glass with arranged between the glass plates 2 and 3 honeycomb structure, as above in connection with FIG. 2 has been described. In addition, here is formed as a glass plate third layer 3 of the Effektpaneels on which the honeycomb structure is applied, formed as insulating glass 16.

Depending on the climatic conditions and building technical requirements may be with all previously related to the FIGS. 1 to 13 described effect panels and combinations of such panels with windows, the outside in the respective figure to the right and the building inside be left or it may be the outside in the respective figure on the left and the building inside right. From the point of view of overheating protection, the attachment of the effect panel is more effective on the outside. Clearly, the use of solar energy is slightly lower than with the arrangement on the inside of the room. The optical effects are almost identical. From a building physics point of view, hardly any risk of condensation on the glass plates is given in the arrangement inside the room, so that it does not matter whether the honeycomb structure fits snugly against a glass plate or is distanced from both their adjacent glass plates. In the arrangement in the outer area can be easily dispensed with a slight ventilation between the outer glass plate and the honeycomb structure, unless the space between the glass panes are very well dried before assembly of the Effektpaneels and sealed to the outside, similar to insulating glass.

Hereinafter, embodiments of a facade cladding will be described, which is constructed with effect panels according to the invention. In general, it should be noted that when using the panels according to the invention in a facade cladding, the side facing the building as a rule does not have to be formed as a glass plate. FIG. 14 shows an embodiment of such, designed for mounting in a facade cladding effect panel. The frame designated 18 here can be executed solid as shown in the drawings, but alternatively it can also be made for example from drawn or extruded profiles. As a material for the frame 18, for example, come wood, aluminum or plastic in question. As the FIG. 14 shows, in this embodiment, which is arranged on the outside of the building surface of the glass plate 2 (left in the figure) is not overlapped by the frame 18. This can, as indicated in the drawing, be made possible by an adhesive bond between the frame 18 and the glass plate 2. The third layer forming plate is designated in this example with 19 and can be made of virtually any material such as wood, plastic or metal, preferably light metal. On the honeycomb structure 1 side facing away from the plate 19, an insulating layer 20 is arranged in this example.

The FIGS. 15 and 16 show two embodiments of an effect panels of the type described above containing facade cladding. In both examples, the frames 18 of the effect panels are attached to posts 23, which in turn are connected to a building or to a building wall (not shown). In the example below FIG. 15 engage between the frame 18 of two adjacent effect panels fastening means through which a facade profile 21, optionally with the interposition of a rubber-elastic part, is stretched against the glass plate 2. In the example below FIG. 16 the joints between adjacent effect panels are relatively narrow and filled with a sealant 22, as indicated in the figure. Both in the embodiment according to FIG. 15 as well as with that FIG. 16 can be provided with appropriately designed openings in the frame for ventilation of the glass plates 2.

Furthermore, it is also possible in the description mentioned effect, facade or roof cladding in such a way that they have no honeycomb structure 1 and thus any resulting application benefits can be realized. Here, a circumferential frame can be applied to a glass plate 2 or a frame can be applied to the planar extension of the glass plate by a fastening method. In this context, in turn openings may be arranged for a possible ventilation.

The problem underlying the independent inventive solutions can be taken from the description.

Above all, the individual embodiments shown in the figures can form the subject of independent solutions according to the invention. The relevant objects and solutions according to the invention can be found in the detailed descriptions of these figures.

For the sake of order, it should be pointed out in conclusion that in order to better understand the structure of the effect panel and the facade cladding, these or their components have been shown partly unevenly and / or enlarged and / or reduced in size.
