Definitions

  • the invention relates to a safety switch with monitoring function.
  • Such safety switches are known in various embodiments, even under the name command and / or signaling devices. They are used in control panels, elevators, machines, etc. to operate electrical controls. In potentially dangerous situations, the operation of the safety switch will open or close relevant circuits. As well-known examples can be found on the writings DE 199 60 695 A1 and DE 41 01 493 C2 to get expelled.
  • Such a safety switch comprises a switch head with plunger (as actuating means), which is mounted in a housing wall in a receiving opening.
  • the longitudinal axis of the safety switch is perpendicular to the plane of the housing wall.
  • the safety switch is mounted from the inside of the housing wall with a threaded ring.
  • the plunger of the safety switch is set up and installed so that it acts on its actuation (from the rest position) in the switching position with an actuating stroke contacts a switch module.
  • the essential function of the safety switch is that upon actuation (pushing in, pressing in) it influences the contacts of the switch module in such a way that an OFF switching function and / or warning function occurs.
  • the safety switch is used for an emergency stop function, which is why the safety switch is also referred to as the emergency stop button.
  • the operation of the safety switch can be connected in the OFF switching position (in particular in an emergency stop circuit) with a latch.
  • a safety switch is known whose housing is designed so that it has closure means which can only be opened or removed by unauthorized access (with mechanical force). The impermissible access to the housing is thus immediately recognizable.
  • a safety switch with control function known. Also in this safety switch contacts (as known) in actuation of the actuating means (plunger) are actuated with a Betuschistshub contacts a switch module, wherein a switching block of the switch module is designed as a message switching block.
  • the switching block designed as a signaling switching block is permanently actuated by means of an actuating pin.
  • an error case can be monitored, in which the message switching block is detached from the housing wall with the actuating means mounted therein. At a certain distance, the signaling switching block changes its switching state, whereby an error signal is output.
  • one of the switching blocks is assigned a control function, so that the occupied with the control function switching block for other switching functions eliminated.
  • the essence of the invention lies in the fact that the switch module is extended by a signaling switching block provided with contact elements in a signaling current path.
  • a monitoring signal can be output when on the safety switch and / or Casing an improper access has occurred and thereby the assembly of the switch head (actuator) and switch module is changed, or if a faulty assembly is present.
  • the contact elements are acted upon in the assembled state of the safety switch by an actuating pin.

  • the actuating element of the signaling contact and the actuating pin are outside the operating range of the actuating means (plunger) of the safety switch.
  • the safety and monitoring function consists in outputting the signaling or monitoring signal when the signaling current path is open and / or opening a circuit in which one or more safety-relevant machines are operated and the operated machines are (automatically) switched off.
  • the actuating pin may be formed on a pin holding plate, which is held and fixed together by the fastener with the switch head from the inside of the housing wall to the mounting hole, wherein the actuating pin projects perpendicularly from the pin holding plate and thus is also parallel to the axis of the safety switch.
  • the pin retaining plate can be formed with a twist protection for the mounting position on the mounting hole.
  • At least one actuating pin may be formed on an inner side of the housing wall, preferably integrally with the housing wall, wherein the at least one actuating pin protrudes perpendicularly from the housing wall.
  • the housing wall may be formed as a surface of a hood or as a surface of a housing cover.
  • the signaling current path is an electrical circuit that outputs a warning signal when opening the signal current path and / or safety-related electrical equipment is out of service.
  • the actuating pin may be provided at the free front end with an opening which is formed for insertion of a spacer.
  • the opening may be formed as a plug-in opening or as a threaded bore, wherein the spacer is designed as a plug pin or as a set screw.
  • the invention can be used in various installation situations of the safety switch. Two major alternatives are that the switch module on the switch head (head mounting) or that the switch module on the housing wall opposite bottom plate (floor mounting) is attached.
  • the switch module is held by a mounting adapter, so that the switch module can be fixed to the fastening means.
  • the switch head is located at a distance from the switch module, which corresponds to the actuating stroke of the actuating means (plunger).
  • the signaling contact of the signaling switching block is acted upon by the actuating pin in the ground mounting and correct assembly, so that the signaling contact is in the closed position.
  • the Fig. 1 shows the safety switch 10, which includes a switch head 14 with actuating means.
  • the figure represents the so-called head mounting alternative of a switch head.
  • the plunger (actuating means 12) is in Fig. 4 recognizable from its underside.
  • the mounting adapter 36 is clipped on the plunger outlet side to the switch head.
  • the mounting adapter 36 is directed to the contact side of the individual switching blocks of the switch module and summarizes the individual switching blocks 22.1, 22.2, 22.3 together.
  • the individual switching blocks - including the signaling switching block - are inserted into the mounting adapter 36 and also clipped.
  • the switch module is set with Meldeschaltblock the switch head.
  • the switch head 14 is mounted from the inside of the housing wall 31 with a screw ring 34 in a round mounting opening 33.
  • the assembly can also take place in the upper side, for example, of a cover-shaped housing (30 ', 30 ") 4 and 5 Two alternatives of a cover-shaped housing are shown.
  • the longitudinal axis of the safety switch is perpendicular to the plane of the housing wall 31, or perpendicular to the top of the housing.
  • the safety switch is set up and installed so that the plunger actuates the contact elements of the switch module 18 when it is actuated (from the rest position to the switching position).
  • the essential function of the safety switch 10 is that it affects the contact elements of the switch module 18 such that an OFF switching function and / or warning function occurs upon actuation (impressions, press-fitting).
  • the safety switch is used for an emergency stop function, which is why the safety switch is also referred to as the emergency stop button.
  • the operation of the safety switch can be connected in the switching position with a catch.
  • the present arrangement is equipped according to the invention with a monitoring function.
  • This function is effective when a separation of the switch module from the safety switch, in particular a separation of the switch head takes place from the switch module.
  • the monitoring function should come into action if individual switching blocks of the switch module are disconnected or incompletely installed. The separation can by destruction of the removal or by impermissible intervention (tampering) or by incorrect assembly done.
  • the switch module 18 comprises in Fig. 1 two individual switching blocks (22.1, 22.2).
  • the input terminals 25 of the individual switching blocks are located at the front (visible) and the output terminals of the individual switching blocks are invisible on the rear.
  • the switch module 18 is supplemented with a signaling switching block 20 in such a way that the signaling switching block is arranged parallel to the individual switching blocks 22.1, 22.2 and in the same orientation as the individual switching blocks.
  • the signaling switching block 20 is laterally offset next to the individual switching blocks, so that the signaling contact 42 is assigned to the (rigidly arranged) actuating pin 46.
  • the actuating element of the signaling contact is located outside of the actuating region 100 of the plunger.
  • the rigid actuating pin 46 is located on a pin retaining plate 44.
  • the pin retaining plate 44 is held and fixed together from the screw ring 34 with the switch head at the mounting hole from the inside.
  • the actuating pin 46 is perpendicular from the pin holding plate, which the housing wall 31 (cover 30 ') rests. Thus, the actuating pin 46 is parallel to the plunger axis.
  • the actuating pin 46 acts on the signaling contact of the signaling switching block 20, so that the signaling contact reaches the closed position. Both in the rest position and in the switch position of the safety switch, the signal contact is closed, the signaling current path is closed.
  • a preferred specific embodiment, as in Fig. 1 is shown may consist in that the signaling switching block 20 is formed as a double switching block.
  • the double switching block has two spatially parallel contact elements, which are bridged on the back of the double switching block.
  • the two contact elements of the double switching block (20, 22.1) are connected in series.
  • the switching actuators of the signaling switching block 20 are located on top of the double switching block.
  • the Indian Fig. 1 on the left signaling switching block 20 is acted upon by the actuating pin 46.
  • the in the Fig. 1 right individual switching blocks are actuated by the plunger 12 of the switch head in the switching position. In the rest position of the switch head and when properly assembled the signaling contact is closed.
  • the signaling contacts 42 of the signaling current path are schematically visible as an imprint on the signaling switching block 20.
  • the actuating pin 46 is shown with a spacer 48.
  • the length of the actuating pin 46 is selected so that in the assembled state of the signaling contact 42 is actuated.
  • the actuating pin may be provided at the free front end with an opening.
  • the opening 47 may be formed as a plug-in opening or as a threaded bore, wherein a spacer 48 is insertable.
  • the spacer can be configured either as a plug pin 48 or as a set screw. With the spacer 48, it comes to length adjustment of the actuating pin 46 so that depending on the assembly variants different distances to the switch module and the signal contact block are bridged. Different distances are available when the safety switch is installed in housings having different thickness housing walls (31).
  • two limiting pins 49 are provided parallel to the actuating pin 46, whereby the position of the (further described below) mounting adapter 36 can be easily positioned.
  • FIG. 3 is a frontal view of the safety switch with switch head, switch module and signaling switch block shown in exploded view.
  • switch head 14 in head mounting alternative; Housing wall 31; Pin retaining plate 44 with actuating pin 46; Screw ring 34; Mounting adapter 36; Individual switching blocks 22.1, 22.2, 22.3; Signaling block 20.
  • the plunger actuates only the contact elements of the switch module 18, or the contact elements of the individual switching blocks 22.1, 22.2 and 22.3.
  • the signaling switching block 20 (and its signaling contacts 42) are located laterally outside of the actuating region 100 and are assigned to the (rigidly arranged) actuating pin 46.
  • a preferred specific embodiment may consist in that the switch module is constructed only of individual switching blocks. This means that the signaling switching block is introduced as a single switching block in a correspondingly enlarged mounting adapter 36.
  • the actuating pin 46 When it comes to a separation of the switch module from the safety switch, the actuating pin 46 is disengaged from the signaling contact of the signaling switching block. The signaling current path is opened so that a warning or signaling signal can be output via it. In the switching position of the switch head and when properly assembled, the second switching actuator of the signaling switching block is operated together with the individual switching blocks. In the electrical switch associated with the safety switch, the signaling current path which opens in this case can be 'ignored', since the safety function is already triggered when the safety switch is actuated.
  • the Fig. 4 shows a first hood 30 '(housing cover), in which a switch head 14 is inserted into the mounting hole.
  • the Fig. 4 shows the situation as an exploded view in connection with the pin retaining plate 44.
  • the Fig. 5 shows a second hood 30 "(housing cover) for receiving the switch head 14.
  • This figure also shows the mounting hole 33 in the hood 30".
  • Two rigid actuating pins 46 ' are formed integrally with the hood on the inside of the hood 30 ", this being a variant with two actuating pins 46' .
  • the actuating pins are formed opposite each other at the mounting hole 33. It makes no difference which Position the hood 30 "in the assembly situation with respect to a switch module occupies. In each position of the hood, one of the actuating pins is in the correct position in relation to the signaling switching block. Compared to the execution of the pin holding plate 44 in Fig. 2 , No further item is required, on which an actuating pin is formed.
  • the actuating pins 46 'in the hood 30 may also be provided with openings (47) and with spacers (48) as in Figs Fig. 2 be educated.
