- the movement radially outward takes place, in particular, in a radial plane which runs centrally through the key channel or through the axis of rotation of the rotor.
- stator pin in the stator is preferably acted upon by a spring force with a spring force, wherein the spring force presses the stator pin and the rotor pin in the direction of the keyway.
- Stator pin and rotor pin are mounted in a corresponding stator bore and rotor bore.
- the spring force of the spring element of the control element mounted in the key is greater than the spring force of the stator, so that the control element radially outwardly moves the stator pin and the rotor pin with respect to the key channel, when the control comes into contact with the rotor pin.

- the user can use the key 1 on the key handle 3, which Here is only partially shown, take and thus exert a rotary motion on the key 1.
- the key shank 4 serves for the arrangement of different tumblers of the rotary lock cylinder 2.
- the key shank 4 On its outside 5, the key shank 4 comprises control recesses 10, which serve for the arrangement of the tumblers on the rotary-lock cylinder 2. These can be conventional control bores that work together with conventional tumblers.
- the outer side 5 is formed by two substantially parallel mutually parallel narrow surfaces 29 and two narrow surfaces 29 connecting the wide surfaces 30.
- the key shank 4 comprises at least one control element 6 movably arranged in the key shank 4.
- the control element 6 cooperates with a tumbler 7 of the rotary-lock cylinder 2.

- the key shank 4 is formed in the region of the control element 6 with a tapered cross-section 9.
- the tapered cross section 9 is tapered with respect to the cross section 11 with the control recesses 10.
- tapered is a reduced cross section, ie a cross section with a smaller cross-sectional area, understood.
- the key shank has a smaller height in the tapered cross section 9 than in the cross section 11.
- the control element 6 is thus arranged in the region of the tapered cross section 9.
- the tapered cross-section 9 is formed so as to taper the key shank 4 uniformly on both sides with respect to the longitudinal axis L.
- the distance in the transverse direction Q to the longitudinal axis L to the narrow surface 29 of the key shank is substantially constant on both sides of the key shank 4 over the entire length of the key shank 4.

- the width of the key shank 4 between the two wide surfaces 30 is preferably constant over the entire length of the key shank 4.
- the control element 6 projects out of the key shank 4, so that the control surface 8 lies at a distance from the outside 5 of the tapered cross section 9.
- the control surface 8 is spaced from the narrow surface 29.
- the control surface 8 is in the starting position in a plane which is defined by the outer side 5 of the key shank 4 in the region of the control recesses 10.
- the control surface 8 is thus particularly preferably flush with the outer side 5 of the key shank 4 outside the tapered region 9.
- the control surface 8 can also lie in a region between the outer side 5 of the tapered cross section 9 and the said plane.
- control surface 8 is flush with the outer surface 5 and the surface 29 of the tapered cross section. 9
- the control element 6 here is a bolt 13 arranged in a bore 12 in the key 1 with a spring element 14, which acts on the bolt 13 with a force, so that the bolt 13, as seen from the key shank 4, is pressed outward. If the bolt 13 is pressed into the key shank 4, the spring force of the spring element 14 counteracts. The bolt 13 is therefore pressed transversely to the longitudinal axis L or in the transverse direction Q from the interior of the key shank 4 to the outside.
- the force is provided by the spring element 14, which here has the shape of a compression spring.
- the control element 6 particularly preferably has two bolts 13, which extend along a common axis A and are movable along this axis A.
- the two bolts 13 are acted upon by the same spring element 14.
- the spring element 14 thus ensures that the two bolts 13 are pressed in the transverse direction Q seen from the key shank 4 forth to the outside.
- the first bolt 13 projects beyond a first surface 31 on the key shaft and the second bolt protrudes beyond a second surface 32 on the key shaft 4.

- the surfaces 31, 32 provide in particular the narrow surface 29, the narrow side of the key 1 ready.
- the bolt 13 preferably has a cylindrical, in particular a circular cross-section.
- the cross section is to be understood here perpendicular to the axis A.
- the bolt 13 in the region of the control surface 8, a control edge 15, which extends at an angle to the longitudinal axis L.
- the control edge 15, which is thus formed inclined to the longitudinal axis L, thereby has the advantage that the insertion of the key 1 in the keyway 23 and the cooperation with the projecting into the keyway 23 controls is improved.
- the bolt 13 can be actuated via the control edge 15, in particular by elements which protrude into the keyway 23.
- the bolt 13 has a flange 39 here. With the flange 39, the bolt abuts against a step 40 of a stepped bore or on a sleeve 41, which is pressed into the hole in the key.
- the tapered region 9 is arranged here in the end region of the key shank 4 in the region of the key tip 16.
- the tapered region 9 thus essentially forms the key tip 16 with respect to the key grip 3.
- the key shaft 4 thus ends with the key tip 16.
- FIGS. 1 to 6 show a first not belonging to the invention embodiment of the rotary lock cylinder and the FIGS. 7 to 12 show a second embodiment of the rotary lock cylinder. Both embodiments can be operated with the preferred key 1 described above.

- the stator pin 20 and the rotor pin 21 move along a common axis B when the rotary lock cylinder 2 is in the locked position.
- the stator pin 20 is in a stator bore 33 and the rotor pin 21 is mounted in a rotor bore 34.
- the pins 20, 21 are movably mounted in the corresponding bore 33, 34.
- Rotor pin 21 and stator 20 are by the control 6 of a locking position, as in FIG. 1 shown in a release position, as in the FIG. 5 shown, can be ordered.
- the blocking position the rotor pin 21 protrudes partially into the keyway 23 and the stator pin 20 protrudes partially into the rotor bore 34, whereby the relative movement between the stator 17 and the rotor 18 is made impossible or blocked. Consequently, the control element 6 thus cooperates with the tumbler 7 in such a way that it can be arranged from the blocking position into the release position when the key is authorized.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 the tumbler 7 is shown in the locked position.
- the movement between the rotor 18 and the stator 17 is blocked by the stator pin 20, which is located in the region of the shear line 35 between the rotor 18 and the stator 17.

- the key tip 16 When inserting the key of the key shank 4 comes with the key tip 16 with the entering into the keyway 23 part of the rotor pin 21 in contact.
- the rotor pin 21 is thereby pressed by the further insertion of the key in the direction of the stator 17, so seen from the keyway 23 to the outside.
- the key tip 16 has a chamfer 36, which comes into contact with the rotor pin 21.
- the chamfer 36 just comes into contact with the end face 37 of the rotor pin 21.
- the same situation is in the section perpendicular to the longitudinal axis L in the FIG. 2 shown.
- FIG. 3 the further insertion of the key 1 is shown in the keyway 23 of the rotary lock cylinder 2 along the insertion direction E.
- the key 1 is advanced so far that the rotor pin 21 comes to rest in the region of the tapered cross section 9.
- the rotor pin 21 and thus also the stator pin 20 are thereby moved against the action spring 22 to the outside. This movement is represented by the radial movement S.
- the distance between the tumbler 7 and the effective range of the control element 6 in the key 1 is reduced.
- FIGS. 5 and 6 the key is shown in the fully inserted position.
- the axes A of the control element 6 and B of the tumbler 7 are collinear with each other. Due to the action of the spring element 14 of the control element 6 in the key 1, the rotor pin 21 and thus also the stator pin 20 is pressed further outwards.
- the control surface 8 of the control element 6 in the key 1 is in contact with the end face 37 of the rotor pin 21. Due to the dimensioning of the control element 6 and tumbler 7, the rotor pin 21 together with the stator 20th moved by the action of the spring element 14 of the control element 6 to closing height.
- the contact point between the stator pin 20 and rotor pin 21 comes to lie on the shear line 35. As a result, the rotor 18 can be pivoted to the stator 17.
- the spring force of the spring element 14 in the key 1 is greater than the spring force of the stator spring 22, so that the control element 6 moves the stator pin 20 and the rotor pin 21 radially outward relative to the key channel 23. Consequently, the tumbler 7, so stator pin 20 and rotor pin 21 is arranged by the spring element 14 in the key 1 with respect to the keyway 23 seen to the outside. In other words, it can also be said that the tumbler 7 cooperating with the control element 6 is arranged radially outwards as viewed from the keyway 23. The movement is provided by the spring element 14 of the control element 6.
- FIGS. 1 to 6 can also be recognized that the rotor pin 21 is movably mounted in a guide sleeve 24.
- the guide sleeve 24 is optional.
- the guide sleeve 24 is mounted in the rotor bore 34, in particular pressed, and projects into the keyway 23, wherein the cross section is reduced in the corresponding area.
- the guide sleeve 24 cooperates with the tapered region 9. Consequently, the key 1 can only be fully inserted into the keyway if the key 1 has the tapered cross section 9, the tapered cross section 9 cooperating with the guide sleeve 24 which narrows the keyway in the region of the presence of the guide sleeve 24.
- the measure of the loading of the guide sleeve 24 corresponds to the extent of the taper of the tapered region 31, 32.
- the guide sleeve 24 is fixed to the rotor 18 in connection. Particularly preferably, the guide sleeve 24 is pressed into the rotor.
- FIG. 6 can be further recognized that the bolt 13 protrudes into the guide sleeve 24 in a particularly preferred embodiment.
- Stator pin 20 and rotor pin 21 are preferably mushroom-shaped.
- FIGS. 7 to 12 a second embodiment of the inventive rotary lock cylinder is shown.
- the rotary-lock cylinder according to the second embodiment can be operated with the same key 1, as already described above in connection with the key 1 as such or in connection with the first embodiment.
- the same parts are provided with the same reference numerals.
- the second embodiment of the rotary lock cylinder 2 comprises in addition to the tumbler 7, which cooperates with the control element 6, a further tumbler 19, which cooperates with the outside 31, 32 of the tapered cross section 9. Consequently, the tapered region 9 thus likewise serves for the arrangement of a corresponding tumbler 19 associated with the tapered region 9.

- the additional tumbler 19 may have the effect of a stop which opposes the key.
- the stator sleeve 25 may be formed shortened, so that rotor sleeve 26 and stator sleeve 25 are moved with their contact point on the shear line 35 addition. The rotor sleeve 26 then lies on the shear line 35 and thus blocks the relative movement between the rotor sleeve 26 and the stator sleeve 25. In other words, the rotor sleeve 26 is moved radially outward via the shear line 35.
- the mobility radially outwards also has the advantage that the tapered portion 9 spaced from the key tip 16 can be arranged.
- the package rotor sleeve 26 and stator sleeve 25 is moved in a first step by the key shank 4 of normal width with the rotor sleeve 26 on the shear line 35 and then in a second step, when the tapered portion acts on the rotor sleeve 26, from the outside in radial direction moves to the shear line.
- the classification takes place in this embodiment radially from the outside. In other words, this means that the stator sleeve 25 or the rotor sleeve 26 can be moved radially outwardly beyond the release position and then radially inwardly into the release position from a blocking position.
- FIGS. 11 and 12 is not belonging to the invention key 1 in the fully inserted state and the tumbler 7 and the tumbler 19 are in the release position.
- the surface 31, 32 of the tapered region has moved the rotor sleeve 26 and the stator sleeve 25 to the height of the shear line 35. That is, the contact point between the stator and rotor sleeve is located on the shear line between the stator 17 and rotor 18.
- the tumbler 7 has been classified according to the above description.
- the spring element 14 of the control element 6 has also arranged the stator pin 20 and the rotor pin 21, so that the contact point between the rotor pin 21 and the stator pin 20 is on the shear line 35.
- the rotor 18 can now be pivoted to the stationary stator 17.
- FIGS. 13 to 16 a rotary lock cylinder 2 are shown with a key 1 according to an inventive embodiment.
- This inventive embodiment has over the first and the second embodiment of an additional security feature in the form of a formed on the key shank 4 survey 44.
- the rotary lock cylinder 2 is formed according to the second embodiment, which is why reference is made to the above description. Next, the same parts are provided with the same reference numerals.
- the tapered cross-section 9 of the key shank 4 is placed in this embodiment spaced from the key tip 16 between the key tip 16 and the key handle 3.
- the key shank 4 in this case has along the longitudinal axis L, starting from the key tip 16 in the direction of the key grip 3, a first slope 42.
- This first slope 42 is substantially an inclined plane to the longitudinal axis L, which is formed so that it increases the key shank 4 with respect to the longitudinal axis L on both sides evenly and thereby increases up to a survey 44.
- the elevation 44 has a surface 45, which is preferably formed parallel to the longitudinal axis L, and which merges into a second slope 43.
- This second slope 43 leads the elevation 44 again in the form of an inclined surface to the longitudinal axis L back to a height of the first surface 31 and the second surface 32 of the tapered cross section 9. In other words, by the elevation 44 of the tapered cross section in the longitudinal direction L to Key tip 16 is limited.
- the height of the key shank 4 is variable.
- the elevation 44 protrudes beyond the height of the first surface 31 and the second surface 32, wherein here the height is to be understood as meaning the distance along the transverse direction Q with respect to the longitudinal axis of the key shaft 4.
- the outer shape of the key 1 is also formed in this inventive embodiment with respect to the longitudinal axis L preferably symmetrical.
