Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé de contrôle de documents de valeur (3), en particulier de billets de banque, ainsi qu'un système de traitement de documents de valeur, comprenant • ‑ au moins un capteur servant à détecter un rayonnement électromagnétique transmis par un document de valeur (3) et à générer des premiers signaux de capteur correspondants, ainsi qu'à détecter un rayonnement électromagnétique renvoyé par le document de valeur (3) et à générer des seconds signaux de capteur correspondants et • ‑ un système d'évaluation servant à contrôler si le document de valeur (3) comporte un objet étranger (4), en particulier un ruban adhésif, en tenant compte des premiers et seconds signaux de capteur correspondant respectivement au rayonnement électromagnétique transmis ou renvoyé dans la zone du bord du document de valeur (3). L'invention empêche d'identifier comme objet étranger (4) des déformations (5) présentes dans la zone du bord du document de valeur (3).
