Claims (11)

  1. Device for positioning and fixing at least one rail (17) onto a sleeper (18) comprising :
    - two angle guides (9, 10) positioned to clamp the rail (17) in a pincer-like effect, by pressing against each of the axial edges of the foot of the rail (17),
    - a positioning base (7) on the upper surface of which the rail (17) and the angle guides (9, 10) are mounted, the base (7) being designed to form an interface between the sleeper (18) and the elements mounted on the upper surface of the base (7),
    - two retaining elements (19, 20) positioned on either side of the angle guides (9, 10) to keep said angle guides (9, 10) pressed against the edges of the foot of the rail (17), the retaining elements (19, 20) and the base (7) forming one and the same piece, characterised in that on their surface designed to bear against the angle guides (9, 10), at least one of the retaining elements (19, 20) comprises an interaction surface adapted to hold a shim (15, 16) of the device between the retaining element (19, 20) and the corresponding angle guide (9, 10), said interaction surface of one of the retaining elements (19, 20) comprising grooves or slots adapted to interact with a relief on the corresponding surface of said shim (15, 16).
  2. Positioning and fixing device according to claim 1, characterised in that the single piece is obtained by welding the retaining elements (19, 20) to the positioning base (7).
  3. Positioning and fixing device according to claim 1, characterised in that the single piece is obtained by forging the retaining elements (19, 20) to the positioning base (7).
  4. Positioning and fixing device according to claim 1, characterised in that the single piece is obtained by moulding the retaining elements (19, 20) with the positioning base (7).
  5. Positioning and fixing device according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that each of the retaining elements (19, 20) is formed by a flat structure arranged in an plane which is oriented on the one hand to be perpendicular to the plane of the positioning base (7) and on the other hand parallel to the axis of one of the edges of the foot of the rail (17).
  6. Positioning and fixing device according to claim 5, characterised in that at least one of the retaining elements (19, 20) comprises at least one reinforcing structure (19', 20') for maintaining the perpendicular orientation of the retaining element (19, 20) relative to the positioning base (7), said reinforcing structure being formed by a flat structure arranged in a plane which is oriented perpendicularly on the one hand relative to the plane of the base (7) and on the other hand to the plane of the structure of the retaining element (19, 20).
  7. Positioning and fixing device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the device comprises such a shim (15, 16) positioned between each of the retaining elements (19, 20) and a respective angle guide (9, 10).
  8. Positioning and fixing device according to claim 7, characterised in that the shims positioned between each of the retaining elements (19, 20) and a respective angle guide (9, 10) have different thicknesses.
  9. Positioning and fixing device according to claim 8, characterised in that said shims (15, 16) positioned between each of the retaining elements (19, 20) and a respective angle guide (9, 10) have a difference in thickness in the order of a millimetre.
  10. Positioning and fixing device according to claim 7, characterised in that said shims (15, 16) positioned between each of the retaining elements (19, 20) and a respective angle guide (9, 10) have identical thicknesses.
  11. Positioning and fixing device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that said shims (15, 16) positioned between each of the retaining elements (19, 20) and an respective angle guide (9, 10) are interchangeable.
