Description
The invention relates to a cup made of a paper material or a paper-like processable material with a fillable interior, which is formed by means of an at least partially conical shell and a bottom. The bottom is connected in the region of the lower end of the interior substantially liquid-tight with the jacket. The cup has an outer casing surrounding the casing at least in sections, so that an insulation space is formed between the casing and the outer casing.
The insulation space serves to keep warm a drink contained in the interior as long as possible. This is done in particular by preventing heat transfer between the beverage and the surrounding atmosphere.
It has been found that the introduction of an insulating material into the insulation space can be advantageous for certain applications. Thus, the insulation effect can be increased and it can be maintained a constant distance between the outer jacket and jacket. This may be advantageous in particular when gripping or squeezing the cup while drinking. If the outer jacket and the jacket touch each other, the insulation effect is reduced to an undesirable degree.
As insulating material, for example, insulating materials are suitable, provided that they can be positioned by whatever process between the outer shell and the jacket. However, it has been found that typical insulation materials have a certain porosity or brittleness. Thus, it may happen that the insulating material "crumbles", which does not necessarily deteriorate the insulating effect, but may cause that when nesting cups of parts of the insulating material fall into another cup. This insulation material can float after filling a drink and irritate the customer of the hot beverage. In this case the customer can assume a contaminated drink and refuse to consume it.
The problems just mentioned mean that in the case of goblets of the generic type the use of insulating materials, in particular in the case of cups which are to be stacked in one another, is frequently omitted.
The invention further relates to a method for producing a cup, in which the problem arises that the generic cup produced suffers from the same disadvantages, which have just been described.
With the invention, a cup of a paper material or a paper-like processable material is to be specified, in which an insulating material is provided and which is still unproblematic stackable and manageable. It is a further object of the invention to provide a method for producing such a cup.
- the insulation space is at least partially filled with insulation material, and
- at least below the insulating material, a circumferentially completely circumferential lower seal is formed against leakage of the insulating material between the jacket and the outer jacket.
By means of the sealing provided according to the invention, leakage of the insulating material on an underside of the cup can be effectively prevented. This bottom is in typical stackings such cups usually deep in another cup, so that at this point in generic cups there is a particularly high risk that insulation material enters another cup. The cup according to the invention thus enables a trouble-free combination of the advantages which result from the provision of an insulating material in the insulation space, with the advantages which result from a stacking of the cups.
In particular, the paper material or the paper-like processable material is a material which withstands exposure to typical drinks over typical periods of time in which the beverage is stored in the cup. For this purpose, plastic elements may be incorporated in the paper material. Likewise, a plastic material can be used, which can be processed similar to paper, in which therefore made of sheet material, a conical sleeve and a cup-shaped bottom and then connected to a finished cup.
- the lower seal is formed in that the outer jacket is adhesively bonded, glued or sealed to the jacket at a lower shoulder,
- wherein the lower shoulder is formed on the outer shell and extends toward the shell.
Thus, an additional stiffening effect of the paragraph can be achieved and the outer shell can be easily connected to the jacket at a suitable location.
According to an alternative embodiment, the lower seal is formed by the outer jacket being rolled up towards the jacket and glued, glued or sealed to the jacket. The curl serves in particular to keep a distance between the outer shell and the jacket.
According to one embodiment, the outer shell is spaced at its lower edge from the shell and the lower seal is spaced from the edge running above. In such an embodiment can be dispensed with a buckling or curling of the outer shell.
In particular, in this case, the lower seal is preferably carried out in the form of a circulating adhesive, Papierbrei- or sealing bead. It can a circumferential bead advantageously produce the claimed cohesive connection between the outer shell and the jacket. A sealing lip-as an alternative approach-is typically an element which protrudes from the jacket toward the outer jacket or also protrudes from the outer jacket towards the jacket. In particular, the sealing lip closes off the space between the outer jacket and the jacket such that no parts of the insulating material can fall out at the bottom. Typically, in this case, spaced apart from the sealing lip, a bond is provided, which ensures that the outer jacket is arranged sufficiently close to the jacket, that the outer jacket presses against the sealing lip with a certain tension, or that the sealing lip bears against the jacket with a certain tension suppressed. Thus, the sealing effect required here can also be achieved. According to a preferred embodiment it is provided that above the insulating material, a circumferentially completely circumferential upper seal is formed against leakage of the insulating material between the jacket and the outer jacket. This can prevent leakage of insulation material on an upper side of the cup. This is particularly relevant if the cup is stored vice versa, for example, during transport or storage for storage in a restaurant of the system catering, ie, that the interior is open in this state down. Thus, for example, the penetration of dust or unwanted objects into the interior can be prevented.
- the upper seal is formed in that the outer jacket is adhesively bonded, glued or sealed to the jacket at an upper shoulder,
- wherein the upper shoulder is formed on the outer jacket and extends toward the jacket.
Thus, an additional stiffening effect of the paragraph can be achieved and the outer shell can be easily connected to the jacket at a suitable location.
According to an alternative embodiment, the upper seal is formed by the outer jacket being rolled up towards the jacket and glued, glued or sealed to the jacket. The curl serves in particular to keep a distance between the outer shell and the jacket.
According to one embodiment, the outer shell is spaced at its upper edge from the shell and the upper seal is spaced from the edge running below. In such an embodiment can be dispensed with a buckling or curling of the outer shell.
In particular, in this case, the upper seal is preferably designed in the form of a circulating adhesive, Papierbrei- or seal bead or in the form of a sealing lip. In this case, a circumferential bead can advantageously produce a cohesive connection between the outer jacket and the jacket. With regard to the use of a sealing lip, reference is made to the comments above.
Preferably, a number of completely circumferential central seals is arranged between the jacket and the outer jacket, insulation material being arranged both below and above each central seal. This can also be provided along a vertical direction of the cup a seal which acts only for a portion of the contained insulation material. This may be advantageous, for example, if so much insulating material is arranged above such a central seal that a single lower or upper seal would no longer be sufficient to effectively prevent it from escaping. As a result of the central seal, it is thus also possible to increase the amount of insulating material which may be contained in the insulation space.
According to one embodiment, the insulating material is formed in one or more large-area layers. In an alternative or combinable with this embodiment, the insulating material is formed in one or more circumferential beads. Large-area layers typically extend over a considerable part of the cup in the vertical direction. On the other hand, circumferential caterpillars typically have a vertical extent, which is considerably smaller than the entire vertical extent of the cup.
According to one embodiment, a number of middle splices are arranged between the jacket and the outer jacket, the middle splices being above the lower seal and are disposed below an upper edge of the outer shell and / or under the upper seal. Such splices may be particularly suitable for adhering the outer jacket to the jacket when using sealing lips, wherein such bonding can take place, for example, vertically in the center. This is particularly advantageous insofar as the sealing lips themselves do not provide a cohesive connection and thus also no holding action. In addition, to achieve the sealing effect of sealing lips a certain bias must be achieved, as described above. Such a bias can be achieved with the above-mentioned splices.
In contrast to the above-mentioned central seals a splice does not necessarily have to be performed completely encircling, since it does not have the task to prevent the leakage of insulation material, but only has the task to keep the outer jacket on the jacket.
According to respective embodiments, one, several or all seals can be made by means of a hotmelt adhesive, which can also be referred to as hotmelt. Likewise, one, several or all seals can be carried out by means of pulp. Such embodiments have proved to be advantageous.
Advantageously, the insulation material is formed from a physiologically harmless material. In particular, corn starch can be used for this purpose. This can be achieved that even in the event that a seal fails and the insulation material undesirably gets into a drink, no health damage is to be feared.
For stacking cups can preferably be provided a correspondingly long frame, which can rest on an underlying cup, or even in the cup formed inside stacking shoulder. This facilitates the stacking of cups, as in this way a defined distance between stacked cups is maintained. Too much tilting the cup, which may lead to permanent deformation of the cup or difficulties in removing cups from a stack, can thus be effectively avoided. The stacking shoulder is preferably formed circumferentially, but may also be formed only in sections.
- essentially liquid-tight joining of a conical jacket and a bottom,
- Applying an insulating material, which has a certain brittleness, on the jacket,
- Apply an outer jacket to the jacket, and
- Forming at least one seal against the emergence of the insulating material between the outer shell and the jacket.
By means of the method according to the invention it is possible to produce a cup which has the advantages already mentioned above. With regard to the cup, it is possible to make use of all variants and embodiments described above. Illustrated benefits apply accordingly.
It should be understood that the steps mentioned can be performed in the order listed, but also in a different order. For example, first the insulating material can be applied to the jacket and then the outer jacket can be attached to the jacket. Alternatively, for example, the outer sheath may first be mounted on the sheath, and then insulation material may be introduced into the insulation space forming thereby. Likewise, the seal can be carried out before or after the application of the insulating material. This applies to both the lower and a possible upper seal.

Below, various embodiments of a
Common to all exemplary embodiments is that the
The
Between the
In order to prevent leakage of the insulating
At the top of the
The
The
The
In principle, the
The
In contrast to the fourth embodiment, the
In
The
The
