- A method of grinding rails (2) of a track (3), wherein a plurality of grinding stones (17) arranged one following the other in a longitudinal direction of the rail are lowered for working operations onto a rail running surface (16) and moved continuously along the rails (2), characterized in that the grinding stones (17) are lifted together or separately from the rail running surface (16) at selectable time intervals, rotated in each case by 180° about an axis (19) extending vertically to a track plane (15), and then lowered again onto the rail running surface for continuing the working operation.
