Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a perforating tool for perforating a blister band in a perforating unit.
  • Certain blister packs have perforation lines to separate individual tablet cups from one another more easily. By means of this perforation, individual tablet cups can be separated out of a blister pack without a further aid, for example a pair of scissors. Furthermore, the perforation is a protective mechanism for infants, as they can not open the tablet bowls in a perforated blister pack without further notice.
  • the tablets of filled blisters of a blister band are first sealed with a cover film. Subsequently, perforation lines are inserted into the blister band in a perforating unit.
  • the blister strip with the sealed cups is thereby transported between a die and a perforating tool, and by a movement of the perforating the individual perforation lines are inserted into the blister band. Finally, the individual blister packs are punched out of the blister band in a punching station.
  • the perforating tools are mainly made of aluminum.
  • this has the disadvantage that such perforating tools are easier to bend, since aluminum is a soft material.
  • the clamping mechanism for clamping the perforating into recesses in the tool body is an important role.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a perforating tool that does not deform during the perforation and provides a high clamping force for the perforator.
  • the perforating tool for perforating a blister band has a tool body which has a first and a second side which are opposite one another.
  • the first side represents the side facing the blister band to be processed.
  • the tool body has a plurality of elongated recesses extending from the first side into the tool body and receiving a plurality of blade blades.
  • Each of the plurality of knife blades has a cutting side projecting beyond the first side of the tool body.
  • channels are formed which extend from the first side into the tool body and, at least in one section, taper towards the second side of the tool body.
  • a clamping element is arranged, each of which receives one of the plurality of knife blades clamped.
  • a plurality of actuating elements is provided, each of which cooperates with an associated clamping element such that its actuation moves the clamping element in the direction of the taper of the channel. By this movement, the clamping element clamps the corresponding blade blade.
  • the channels in the tapered portion are frusto-conical. This promotes a uniform clamping force.
  • each clamping element has at least two opposing jaws, resulting in a force application on both sides of the knife blade. In this way an excellent clamping is ensured without generating stresses in the knife blade.
  • the clamping elements or preferably the clamping jaws have an outer contour with a section tapering towards the second side of the tool body. With this configuration, the clamping elements are optimally adapted to the shape of the tapered channels.
  • the tapered portion of the outer contour of the clamping elements or the jaws is formed as part of a truncated cone.
  • the clamping jaws are preferably connected to one another by a connecting web.
  • clamping elements In order for an optimal power transmission of the actuating elements is ensured on the clamping elements, these are preferably connected directly to each other.
  • the plurality of actuating elements is preferably arranged on the second side of the tool body.
  • the actuators are screws.
  • the perforating as little as possible pointed corners and edges, the plurality of screws is preferably embedded in the tool body.
  • the screws are preferably in each case in contact with a fixed stop in the tool body.
  • a loosening of the knife blades from the clamping elements or a stronger clamping of the blades in the clamping elements is achieved by turning the screws. As a result, the blades can be changed quickly and easily or be clamped more.
  • a first clamping strip and a second clamping strip each surround a knife blade laterally and are thus arranged between the clamping element and the knife blade.
  • At least one recess in the longitudinal direction and at least one recess in the transverse direction is arranged, which intersect at crossing points, which are formed in the tool body rectangular body part.
  • at least one channel is arranged with a clamping element in the region of each recess between two crossing points of the recesses.
  • a perforating unit according to the invention essentially comprises a perforating tool according to the invention and a die, wherein at least one of perforating tool and die is movable relative to the other and thus perforating tool and die cooperate during the perforating process.
  • the perforating tool 1 serves in a perforating unit 3 (see schematic representation in FIG Fig. 1 ) to be used.
  • a blister strip 7 which is preferably supplied in a cyclic manner and which comprises the wells filled with tablets and sealed, is perforated with the perforating tool 1.
  • the perforating tool 1 comprises a tool body 9, which preferably consists of aluminum.
  • the tool body 9 has a first side 11 and a second side 13 which face each other.
  • the first side 11 is the side facing the blister band 7 to be processed.
  • the tool body 9 recesses 10, which extend from the first side 11 into the tool body 9 inside.
  • the recesses 10 are designed in a straight line and preferably in the longitudinal and in the transverse direction arranged over the entire first side 11 of the tool body 9.
  • the recesses 10 are otherwise formed extending over the first side 11.
  • the recesses 10 are formed only in parts of the first side 11.
  • the longitudinally extending recesses 10 intersect with the transversely extending recesses 10 at crossing points 12, thereby forming rectangular body parts 14 in the tool body 9.
  • knife blades 15 are arranged, the cutting sides 16 protrude beyond the first side 11 of the tool body 9.
  • the cutting sides 16 of the knife blades 15 do not always have to protrude beyond the first side 11 of the tool body 9. It is also conceivable that the knife blades 15 are extended before the perforation of the tool body 9 and retracted after the perforation.
  • channels 18 are formed which extend from the first side 11 into the tool body 9.
  • exactly one channel 18 is arranged between each two crossing points 12 of the recesses 10.
  • more channels 18 may be arranged between two crossing points 12.
  • Each channel 18 is wider in the illustrated case than the recess 10 and also extends further in the direction of the second side 13 of the tool body 9 as the associated recess 10th
  • the cross section of a channel 18 is preferably round or elliptical.
  • the channels 18 taper at least in a section 22 in the direction of the second side 13 of the tool body 9 and preferably have a truncated cone shape in this section 22.
  • the tapering portion 22 preferably starts at about the lower end of the knife blades 15.
  • other embodiments of the channels 18 are conceivable.
  • each channel 18 a clamping element 17 is provided, which serves to clamp the associated blade blade 15.
  • each clamping element 17 on two jaws 20 which receive the knife blade 15 between them and pinch from two opposite sides.
  • Other configurations of the clamping element 17 are conceivable.
  • Each knife blade 15 is associated with at least one channel 18 with the corresponding clamping element 17 to secure the knife blade 15 during the perforation in the desired position. But it can also be several channels 18 and thus several clamping elements 17 per knife blade 15 may be provided.
  • the clamping jaws 20 preferably have an outer contour adapted to the shape of the channels 18. Accordingly, the clamping jaws 20 have an outer contour which has a section 24 tapering in the direction of the second side 13 of the tool body 9. The tapered portion 24 of the outer contour of the jaws 20 is preferably formed as part of a truncated cone.
  • the clamping jaws 20, at least in their upper end region, preferably have a flat, vertically extending clamping surface which rests against the knife blade 15.
  • a connecting web 23 connects the two jaws 20 of a channel 18 with each other. Ideally, the two jaws 20 have a mirror-symmetrical shape.
  • the clamping element 17 is preferably designed in one piece and is preferably made of stainless steel.
  • the clamping element 17 may preferably have a substantially H-shape in cross-section, wherein the two jaws 20 form the longer, aligned to the first side 11 of the tool body 9 thighs, while a second side 13 of the tool body 9 aligned threaded sleeve 28 of two shorter thighs is limited. In the clamped state, the ends of the clamping jaws 20 are preferably flush with the first side 11 of the tool body 9.
  • the actuating elements 25 extend from the second side 13 into the tool body 9 and are connected directly to the clamping elements 17.
  • the actuating elements 25 are ideally embedded in the tool body 9 and are each in contact with a fixed stop 26. However, it is also conceivable that the actuating elements 25 protrude from the tool body 9 and abut against the second side 13 to stop.
  • the actuating elements 25 are screws which are inserted into the threaded sleeve 28 of the clamping element 17. But there are also other actuators 25 such as bolts, levers or magnetic systems conceivable.
  • the clamping element 17 is pulled in the channel 18 in the direction of the second side 13 of the tool body 9 and due to the taper of the channel 18, the knife blade 15 clamped in the clamping element 17.
  • the direction of rotation is opposite, the clamping element 17 is released.
  • the knife blades 15, which are arranged in the recesses 10, are preferably laterally surrounded in each case by a first clamping strip 19 and a second clamping strip 21 and are thus arranged between the clamping jaws 20 and the knife blades 15.
  • first terminal block 19 and the second terminal block 21 the blade blades 15 are received protected in the recesses 10 and a bending of the blades 15 during the perforating process is prevented.
  • the jaws 20 do not act directly on the knife blades 15 and the blade blades 15 are thus not damaged when pinched.
  • the terminal strips 19 and 21 are preferably made of steel.
  • the blister band 7 is preferably transported clocked in the perforation unit 3, so that it is arranged between the die 5 and perforating 1.
  • the die 5 has recesses (not shown) corresponding to the shape and size of the blades 15 of the perforating tool 1.
  • the knife blades 15 strike the blister band 7.
  • the blister strip 7 is perforated along the cutting side 16 of the knife blades 15, the blade blades 15 dipping into the recesses of the die 5.
  • the knife blades 15 are clamped during the perforation in the clamping elements 17.
  • the blister strip 7 is moved further out of the position between die 5 and perforating tool 1 and further processed in a stamping station.
