Definitions

  • the invention relates to gripping pliers with an adjustable joint according to the features in the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • Such gripping tongs count in the scope of EP 0 528 252 A1 the state of the art. It has two pliers arms coupled to one another via a joint, each of which is divided into a grip section, a transition section and a head section with a gripping jaw.
  • a second gripping jaw protrudes transversely to the adjacent transition section and the other first gripping jaw is arranged at an angle of 45 ° to the adjacent transition section.
  • the inner contours of the gripping jaws are S-shaped. As a result, when the tips of the gripping jaws come into contact, they form a parallelogram-shaped jaw.
  • the long inner contours of the pliers mouth are designed as toothed profiles with triangular teeth in longitudinal section.
  • the inner contours of the gripping jaws next to the pliers jaw also have toothed profiles with teeth that are triangular in longitudinal section.
  • a gripper is also known, which is adjustable in large areas and has a construction with a low-wear joint.
  • the invention is based on the object of further developing the known gripping pliers in such a way that their installation is made considerably easier for a fitter, even in difficult assembly situations and after long use with an improved system on an object.
  • the long inner contours of the parallelogram-shaped jaws are now formed by toothing profiles with teeth of different lengths in the longitudinal section and the short inner contours of the jaws and the inner contours of the tips of the gripping jaws are formed by toothing profiles with teeth of the same length in the longitudinal section. Furthermore, it is important that the long second toothing profile of the pliers mouth arranged in the second gripping jaw extends linearly and that the long first toothing profile located in the first gripping jaw extends convexly towards the second toothing profile.
  • a gripping pliers designed in this way in particular when used as a water pump pliers, has the advantage that objects can be securely gripped and handled on the one hand via the tips of the gripping jaws, but on the other hand round in cross-section due to the special design of the parallelogram-shaped pliers mouth with regard to the special toothing profiles provided there or polygonal objects, the surfaces of which may be contaminated by, for example, lubricants and have only low slip resistance, but can still be detected and handled safely in all situations of use.
  • the long sides of the teeth of the long toothing profiles in the pliers mouth are largely parallel to one another and to one of the teeth Tooth profiles arranged on the inside of the point-cutting central longitudinal plane.
  • the average distance between the long first tooth profile of the pliers mouth and the long second tooth profile can preferably be 4.5 mm.
  • the height of the teeth of the long second tooth profile in the jaws is 0.52 mm and the height of the teeth of the long first tooth profile is 0.58 mm. That is, the teeth of the convex tooth profile are formed higher than the teeth of the linear tooth profile in the jaw.
  • the gripping pliers grasp an object and its safe handling after the gripping is improved in that the opening angle between the short side of a tooth of the long tooth profile in the pliers mouth and the long side of the adjacent tooth is 105 °.
  • the opening angle between the short side of a tooth of the long toothing profiles in the pliers mouth and the central longitudinal plane intersecting the teeth of the toothing profiles on the inside of the tips in the case of positively interlocking teeth of the toothing profiles on the inside of the tips is preferably dimensioned 70 °.
  • the long tooth profiles in the pliers mouth are preferably arranged at an angle of 15 ° to the central longitudinal plane intersecting the teeth of the tooth profiles on the inside of the tips with teeth of the tooth profiles of the tips interlocking with one another.
  • the opening angle between a long tooth profile provided in the pliers mouth and the adjacent short tooth profile is 135 °.
  • the opening angle between two teeth of the same length of the toothing profiles on the inside of the tips, the short toothing profiles in the The jaws and the tooth profile on the side of the jaws facing away from the tips is 90 °.
  • the length of the jaws is preferably 21.4 mm.
  • a further improvement in the handling of the gripping pliers is achieved in that, in the case of interlocking teeth of the toothing profiles on the inside of the tips, inner toothing profiles facing away from these tips extend in a straight line next to the pliers mouth, are arranged at a distance from one another and are provided with teeth of equal length in longitudinal section. It also makes sense here that the inner toothing profiles facing away from the tips and lying next to the pliers mouth are arranged at an angle of 2.4 ° to one another that opens away from the tips.
  • a semicircular trough is formed in the inner toothing profile of the second gripping jaw lying next to the pliers jaw.
  • the trough has a radius of 2 mm.
  • one pliers arm has a longitudinal slot in its transition section and the other pliers arm with its transition section passes through the longitudinal slot and has an elongated hole with a toothing profile, a locking piece being linearly displaceably mounted in the second pliers arm, around which the first gun arm can be rotated.
  • various relative positions of the gun arms can be set via the locking piece, in which both gun arms are linearly fixed in position, but are rotatable relative to one another.
  • the gun arms are made by forging. This results in high strength properties with a simultaneous weight saving potential.
  • the pliers arms are preferably made of steel, which ensures that the gripping pliers have a long service life.
  • FIG. 1 and 2 1 is a gripper in the form of a water pump pliers.
  • the gripping pliers 1 have a first pliers arm 2 and a second pliers arm 3, which are coupled to one another via an adjustable joint 4.
  • Each gun arm 2, 3 is divided into a grip section 5, 5a, a transition section 6, 6a and a head section 7, 7a with a gripping jaw 8, 8a.
  • the first gun arm 2 has a longitudinal slot 9 in its transition section 6 and the other gun arm 3 extends through the longitudinal slot 9 with its transition section 6a.
  • the gripping pliers 1 have a locking mechanism 10 which allows a translatory adjustment movement of the second pliers arm 3 to the first pliers arm 2 to be carried out, as a result of which the opening width of the gripping pliers 1 between the head sections 7, 7a can be adjusted in stages.
  • an elongated hole 11 is arranged in the transition section 6a of the second tong arm 3, which has a sawtooth-shaped latching profile 12 on its inner longitudinal edges.
  • an actuating lever 13 is provided on the first gun arm 2, which, when actuated, shifts a locking piece 14 in the axial direction, so that it is shifted from a locked position into a release position and thus enables the translatory adjustment movement of the first gun arm 2 relative to the second gun arm 3. If the locking piece 14 is then in the new locking position, the two tong arms 2, 3 can be pivoted about the joint 4.
  • the second gripping jaw 8a of the second pincer arm 3 projects transversely to the adjacent transition section 6a at an angle ⁇ of 90 ° and the first gripping jaw 8 is arranged on the first pincer arm 2 to the adjacent transition section 6 at an angle ⁇ of 45 °.
  • the Figures 4 and 5 in this connection furthermore show that the long inner contours of the parallelogram-shaped pliers jaw 17 by toothing profiles 18, 19 with teeth 23 of different lengths in longitudinal section and the short inner contours in the pliers jaw 17 and the inner contours of the tips 15, 16 of the gripping jaws 8, 8a are formed by toothed profiles 20, 21, 22 with teeth 24 of equal length in longitudinal section 27. It can also be seen that the long second toothing profile 19 arranged in the second gripping jaw 8a extends linearly in the jaws 17 and the long first toothing profile 18 located in the first gripping jaw 8 extends convexly with respect to the second toothing profile 19. The radius R of the convex tooth profile 18 is 45 mm.
  • the long sides 25 of the teeth 23 of the long toothing profiles 18, 19 in the jaws 17 are arranged largely parallel to one another and to a central longitudinal plane MLE intersecting the teeth 24 of the toothing profiles 22 on the inside of the tips 15, 16.
  • the average distance A of the long second tooth profile 19 in the jaw 17 to the long first tooth profile 18 is 4.5 mm.
  • the height H of the teeth 23 of the long second tooth profile 19 in the jaw 17 is 0.52 mm and the height H 1 of the teeth 23 of the long first tooth profile 18 is 0.58 mm.
  • the opening angle ⁇ between the short side 26 of a tooth 23 of the long toothing profiles 18, 19 in the jaws 17 and the long side 25 of the adjacent tooth 23 is 105 °.
  • the opening angle ⁇ between the short side 26 of a tooth 23 of the long toothing profiles 18, 19 in the jaws 17 and the teeth 24 of the toothing profiles 22 on the inside of the tips 15, 16 of the central longitudinal plane MLE is 70 °.
  • the height H2 of the teeth 24 of the toothing profiles 20, 21 of the short inner contours in the pliers mouth 17 is 0.36 mm ( Figure 5 ).
  • the long tooth profiles 18, 19 in the pliers mouth 17 are arranged at an angle ⁇ of 15 ° to the central longitudinal plane MLE which intersects the teeth 24 of the tooth profiles 22 on the inside of the tips 15, 16 with teeth 24 of the tooth profiles 22 of the tips 15, 16 which engage in a form-fitting manner.
