Abstract

L'invention porte sur un appareil qui rompt des cigarettes de façon à séparer la partie de filtre de la partie de tabac. L'appareil comprend un conduit de transport (2) qui transporte des cigarettes dans une orientation telle que les axes longitudinaux des cigarettes et du conduit de transport sont sensiblement en alignement; des moyens (11) de réception de cigarettes comprenant au moins un canal, lequel canal étant configuré pour recevoir une cigarette, de telle sorte que les axes longitudinaux de la cigarette et du canal sont sensiblement en alignement; et des moyens pour aligner le canal avec le conduit de transport, de façon à permettre à une cigarette d'être délivrée à partir du conduit de transport jusqu'au canal. L'appareil comprend de plus une surface d'arrêt (14) adjacente aux moyens de réception de cigarettes, la surface d'arrêt étant agencée de façon à supporter une cigarette de telle sorte que la cigarette reste partiellement reçue à l'intérieur du canal. La surface d'arrêt (14) est positionnée de telle sorte que, lorsque la cigarette est partiellement reçue à l'intérieur du canal et supportée contre la surface d'arrêt, la partie de filtre de la cigarette fait saillie à partir des moyens de réception de cigarettes. L'appareil comprend de plus des moyens de séparation (21) pour séparer la partie de filtre saillante à partir de la partie de tabac.
