The problem here is that the cooling oil is only selectively injected into the cooling channel, so that some areas in the piston are not sufficiently cooled.

- This orientation of the beam splitter 19 with respect to the contact surface 24 can be chosen freely, so that the deflection of the cooling oil jet A can be adapted to individual requirements. It is essential that during assembly of the guide tube 18 in the piston 10 no further alignment of the beam splitter 19 in the cooling channel 15 is required.
- These tongues 26 are formed in the embodiment by axial slots 27, wherein two slots 27 are connected by a peripheral franking 28 with each other.
