Definitions

  • This invention relates to a fillable closure which is releasable such that a separately filled small capsule accommodated within the closure is thereby opened and emptied into the container with which the closure is fitted.
  • Many drinks are already produced today by mixing a concentrate with water. Instead of distributing the finished mix, it would be much more efficient if the bottlers could simply fill up with water on the spot, and the concentrate would only be added to the water in the bottle by the first opening of the bottle and then mixed with it.
  • a known solution for metering a separate liquid is a plastic metering closure and associated container neck for a container. It consists of a threaded cap, a separately fillable capsule which can be closed with a foil or closed after filling and an associated container neck. The capsule is held with its closing foil directed downwards inside the container neck. When attached to the container neck cap it protrudes into the interior of the container neck, and there is a piercing and cutting device at the bottom of the container neck, by means of which the closing foil at the bottom of the capsule at the first Opening the plastic dosing can be opened from below, so that the substance contained in the capsule falls into the container.
  • the threaded cap is first moved counterclockwise - ie in the release direction - on the container neck down, whereby the film of the capsule is pressed over a piercing and cutting device and thus cut from below, while the threaded cap on the container neck finds a stop.
  • the closure cap (10) has a deformable upper side (14d) which can be pressed down under deformation in the center. As a result, the upper side of the inserted capsule (18) is also deformed and pressed down, which puts the sealing film of the capsule (18) under tension so far that it breaks or bursts.
  • FR 2 853 302 A1 (NESTLE WATERS MAN & TECHNOLOGY [FR]) also shows such a closure.
  • the bursting of the sealing film is not controlled , and it is also not sure that the once-burst sealing film due to elastic forces is not halfway back.
  • the whole Pressure surface elastic As a result, the capsules used are crushed uncontrollably. They act like balloons and have no guidance.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a refillable closure to a separately filled capsule, which is easier to manufacture and assemble, consists of a minimum number of parts, and by a single action - a single action - so can be actuated that the content of the filled capsule is emptied into the container equipped with the closure.
  • the closure is to ensure that the once-burst sealing foil can not go back halfway due to elastic forces, and crush the capsules used controlled.
  • the capsule should also be able to be carried out in oxygen and light-tight manner,
  • a fillable closure for triggering the emptying of a capsule belonging to this closure, separately filled capsule, the closure consisting of a screwed onto the threaded neck of a container cap with deformable top, in which cap a separately filled capsule in the closed state from below can be used with downwardly directed sealing film of the capsule, wherein the top of the capsule used is designed to be deformable and axially pressed down so that the downward sealing film of the capsule breaks or bursts, and which is characterized in that at the bottom of the Closure cap an axially downwardly projecting triangular profile, cross-section or star-shaped profile is formed, which fits into a suitable for the cross section of this triangle profile, cross-section or star-shaped profile recess in the deformable top of the capsule inserted, and d ass by depressing this triangle profile, cross profile or star-shaped profile, the recess whose outer lower corners are pressed onto the sealing film of the capsule, and that the sealing film has weakening lines, so that the corners hit
  • the outer corners of the depression then also act specifically on the sealing film. This is provided with special weakening lines, so that the corners of the depression in each case press between them. Thus, the bursting takes place in a controlled manner and the once-burst sealing foil is securely kept open .
  • This depression empties the capsule due to volume displacement, and also reliably keeps the downwardly protruding segments of the sealing foil bent downwards, thus opening the capsule so that the capsule contents can flow off reliably and completely.
  • FIG. 1 One sees a first variant of a closure, which allows the emptying of the separately filled and used capsule with a single direct operation.
  • the closure forms a closure cap 1 with an internal thread 7, so that it can be screwed onto a threaded neck of a container.
  • this has a circulating belt 3, which via a thin point 5 with the cap 1 is connected.
  • This tape 3 provides a tamper-evident and remains when unscrewing the cap 1, when the bottle is opened for the first time, on the bottle neck, because then the thin spot 5 breaks.
  • the cap 1 has on its upper side an inlet 8, that is, a recess of the lid surface.
  • This cover surface is executed in the example shown as a gable-shaped, deformable in the axial direction push button 4, the flattened tip forms a circular pusher surface 6 here.
  • the pusher surface 6 is formed on its underside in a hump 9, and the wall of the push button 4 is made relatively thin, so that the push button 4 can be pressed by the convex shaping seen here from above by pressure on the pusher surface 6 in the axial direction, under deformation of the push button wall.
  • the push button 4 can be pressed down in a concave shape.
  • On the underside of the push button 4 this forms with its outer edge a circumferential, downwardly projecting shoulder 10.
  • This capsule 2 On this shoulder 10 from below a circular capsule 2 can be placed, which then fits with its outer edge precisely on this shoulder 10 and on her a bead 14 is held.
  • This capsule 2 in turn consists of a dome-like upper part, which terminates at the outer edge in a top and bottom flat projection 12. In the center of the upper part of a recess 11 is formed, in which the hump 9 fits on the push button 4.
  • To fill this dome-like shell which then forms a separate part, placed in a fallen position so that it forms a bowl. This is filled, and afterwards it is closed with a circular disc-shaped film 15 to a capsule 2. Afterwards, this capsule 2 is hermetically sealed. Even aspheric filling and sealing is guaranteed. If the dome-like upper part contains an aluminum foil, and also the film 15 contains such, the capsule 2 is even oxygen-tight and light-tight. This opens up the possibility of filling even with highly sensitive, light-sensitive ingredients.
  • FIG. 2 shows the closure with the associated separately filled capsule 2 with its curved top 13 prior to their insertion. It is inserted from below with the convex top 13 ahead in the closure 1. On your Bottom is the capsule 2 level and is closed by the film 15.
  • the weakening lines 45 may instead of a cross also form a star of three lines, as shown below in a further variant.
  • the film 15 is placed on top of the projection 12 at the top 13 crashed and welded or sealed with it.
  • the convex upper side 13 has in the center a recess 11 into which the bump 9 is intended to project on the closure cap 1.
  • the guarantee band 3 is visible, which is integrally formed over a continuous thin point 5 or over some material bridges 16.
  • the thin spot 5 is sheared or the material bridges 16, which are designed as predetermined breaking points, break and give the cap 1 for unscrewing free.
  • FIG. 3 shows under detail A a first solution, as the capsule 2 may be held in the cap 1.
  • this shoulder 10 at its outer edge in this solution has a standing perpendicular to her wall attachment 17, which extends in the axial direction of the closure.
  • the wall attachment 17 is in a warm state inwardly folded against the center of the closure, as shown with an arrow, and pressed onto the film 15 and cooled.
  • the capsule 2 is held securely in the closure 1 by the resulting bead 14.
  • a number of barbs 43 distributed over the circumference may be formed on the wall attachment 17. The capsule 2 is then clickable with its edge on these barbs 43, after which it is securely held in this position.
  • FIG. 4 shows the closure after depressing the pusher surface 6 in a perspective cross-sectional view.
  • FIG. 5 shows a first solution for the realization of a first opening guarantee on this closure, as he in the FIGS. 1 to 4 is presented.
  • the cap 1 when the cap 1 is made as in the figures shown so far, anyone can depress the openly accessible pusher surface 6 and empty the pod 2 into the bottle contents. This pressing on the pusher surface 6 could therefore be abusive: From a mere joke someone could simply depress the pusher surface 6 in a row of bottles in a rack.
  • the inhibition threshold is relatively low.
  • the closure cap 1 shown here has a cover 18 integrally formed on the edge thereof in a hinged manner. At the outer edge of the lid 18, that is on the hinge 19 opposite side of the lid 18, a pawl 20 is formed as a snap element.
  • the cover 18 If the cover 18 is swung over and pivoted down onto the closure cap 1, the pawl 20 hooks into a window 22 on a strip 21 formed thereon.
  • the cover 18 can now only be opened and release access to the push button 4 and its pusher surface 6, when first the strip 21 is torn away from the cap 1.
  • the strip 21 is integrally formed on a thin point 23 at the upper outer edge of the closure cap 1.
  • the grip tab 24 the strip 21 can be grasped and torn away along the circumference of the closure cap 1, breaking the thin area 23.
  • the thin area 23 can be made such that it does not overlap the Whole length of the strip 21 extends so that it remains securely held to the cap 1 after a partial breakaway, but the pawl 20 releases, so that the lid 18 can be swung open.
  • FIG. 6 shows a second variant of a closure with indirect actuation of the capsule emptying shown in a perspective cross-section.
  • a further, additional pointed part namely a rotary cap 25, which serves for the indirect actuation of the closure.
  • the closure below this rotary cap 25 is virtually identical to that of the FIGS. 1 to 4 featured closure, with the following exceptions:
  • a helical actuating surface 26 realized by a pipe section 27 is formed on top of the push button 4, which extends from the pusher surface 6 upwards.
  • This pipe section 27 forms with its upper end two helical sections as actuating surfaces 26, of which only one is visible because of the sectional view.
  • a same pipe section 29 is integrally formed in the axial direction, connect the helical portions 30 positively to those on the lower pipe section 27.
  • the two pipe sections 27,29 are advantageously guided one another by the edge of the one forms a groove, in which engages the edge of the other pipe section as a spring, as the basis of a detailed drawing FIG. 7 is shown.
  • the rotary cap 25 is bounced from above over the cap 1, so that the circumferential band 44 engages on the outside of the cap 1. Thereafter, the rotary cap 25 is securely held on the cap 1 and secured against rotation.
  • the elements 34 which are supported on its underside by a thin wall 32, and are formed in an arcuate elevation 31, wherein they are connected here via a thin point 33 with the rotary cap 25.
  • the rotary cap 25 is at its lower edge 35 of this arcuate elevation 31, ie at the location of this arcuate elevation 31, also arcuate shaped. If the rotary cap 25 is rotated counterclockwise when seen from above, ie in the release direction, the thin spot 33 is first broken, and subsequently the elements 34 with their arcuate elevation by striking the arcuate lower edge portion of the rotary cap 25 in the axial direction of the closure downwards pressed, with deformation of the thin walls 32 below the elements 34. This requires a certain force.
  • the rotary cap 25 can continue to rotate in the release direction.
  • the helical actuating surfaces 26,30 of the pipe sections 27,29 act on each other in such a way that the pipe section 26 is pressed down and thus the push button 6 is actuated, that is, presses down and thus pushes the capsule 2 down, resulting in stretching and finally rupture of the film 15 along its lines of weakness leads.
  • the rotary cap 25 is rotatable only in the release direction, it has on the inside of its lid a slightly compliant toothing 36. This engages in a further toothing 37, which is externally formed on an axial extension 38 on the cap, and whose teeth are inclined in the release direction, so that they act as barbs.
  • the rotary cap 25 can rotate with rattling only in the release direction, and the teeth 37 blocks a rotation of the rotary cap 25 in a clockwise direction.
  • closure is first turned on a bottle neck, then snap this snap 39 snap over a corresponding projecting bead on the bottle or container neck.
  • the closure can then be solved only by breaking the thin spot 5 between the guarantee strip 3 and the upper closure part 1 from the nozzle.
  • FIG. 7 shows this closure FIG. 6 shown in a cross section, in an enlarged view, in which case also the nozzle 40 of the bottle equipped therewith or the container is shown.
  • the closure cap 1 forms in the upper region of her Outside a circumferential groove 42, in which a circumferential bead 41 on the inside of the rotary cap 25 comes to lie when bouncing and the rotary cap 25 rotatably but securely holds on the cap 1.
  • the two pipe sections 27,29 can lie on each other, so that their edges are safe to each other and can not slide away from each other.
  • one edge forms a groove, so that the opposite edge is guided therein as a spring. It is also sufficient if the outside of a pipe section is extended, so that outside a support for the other pipe section is formed, so to speak, a groove is formed with only one boundary wall.
  • FIG. 8 the cap after FIG. 6 and 7 after the indirect actuation of the capsule emptying and before the removal of the closure cap 1 of the closure in a perspective cross-section seen.
  • the elements 34 have been depressed and, therefore, the rotating cap 25 continued to rotate counterclockwise while resisting axial movement through it FIG. 7 described Verprellung of bead 41 and groove 42 is secured.
  • the integrally formed on the underside of the rotary cap 25 pipe section 28 and its helical actuating surface 30 acted on the helical actuating surface 26 on the pipe section 27, which sits on the pusher surface 6.
  • the push button 4 was depressed and the bump 9 on the underside of the pusher surface 6 pushed the top 13 of the capsule 2 from a convex to a concave shape.
  • the resulting elongation of the film 15 leads to their breakage along their lines of weakness and the content is poured out or emptied as indicated here below.
  • FIG. 9 is shown in an exploded view along the axis of rotation of the closure.
  • This is a closure, which is actuated by rotation of the cap with its rotating cap in the release direction.
  • the rotary cap 25 is bounced from above over the cap 1.
  • the closure cap 1 is provided with an internal thread 52 equipped with which it can be screwed onto a bottle thread.
  • On the underside of the rotary cap 25 can be seen a molded pipe section 29, which extends in the axial direction downwards. He has helical portions 30 which lie positively on just such sections that are present at a not visible here pipe section at the top of the cap 1.
  • On the cap 1 can be seen on its underside the formation on the underside of this pipe section.
  • This formation here forms the hump in the form of a cross profile 50.
  • this cross-profile 50 fits into a substantially cross-shaped recess 51 in the top of the associated capsule 2 a.
  • the cap 1 is provided with a cylindrical, downwardly projecting edge 54, so that a receiving cylinder is formed, in which the capsule 2 can be inserted from below, so that their cross-profile recess 51 comes to rest over the cross profile 50.
  • the lower edge of the filled capsule 2 is closed with the sealing film 15.
  • the sealing film 15 has two intersecting lines of weakness 55, 56 which divide the sealing film 15 into almost four circle segments almost at its edge.
  • This driver 53 takes the cap 1 with and therefore unscrews them from the bottle or container thread, so that the entire closure is finally removed from the bottle or container and the nozzle is exposed.
  • the closure can of course be placed back on the nozzle and by turning the rotary cap 25 in the closing direction, the cap 1 is screwed again sealingly on the neck of the bottle or container.
  • FIG. 10 shows this closure FIG. 9 in assembled condition, shown in a cross section.

  • the recess 51 may have a downwardly projecting bump 60, which when pressed down first presses on the center of the sealing film 15 and separates it at the point of intersection of their weakening lines.
  • FIG. 11 shows a further embodiment of the closure with substantially the same opening function for the sealing film 15.
  • the cross profile 50 is not pressed down here by a rotation of the rotary cap, but by simply pressing a push button 58 on the top of the cap 1.
  • the cap has for this purpose an upwardly bulging top 59 which forms a presser surface of a push button 58 in the center , Is pressed from the top of this pusher surface, the push button 58 is pressed with the integrally formed on its underside cross profile 50 axially downwards.
  • FIG. 12 shows the closure after FIG. 9 or 10 with inserted capsule in the closed state of the capsule as a whole. In this form, it can be distributed, and it can then be screwed on any container or bottle with matching external thread.
