Definitions
- the invention relates generally to a luminaire for adjustably mixing two different light colors, and more particularly to a luminaire for adjustably mixing light in warm white (ww) light color and in daylight white (tw) light color produced by two different types of LEDs.
- the invention likewise relates to a circuit board or printed circuit board which is especially suitable for this purpose.
- Luminaires in particular also LED luminaires, are typically offered with a given light color, e.g. with a light color in the range of about 3300 to 5300K (nw: neutral white), over 5300K (tw: daylight white) or under 3300K (ww: warm white). Modern lights are often dimmable. Besides the light intensity adjustment in the field of LED illumination, it is also known to provide a white-white (wsws) control, e.g. to mix neutral white and warm white adjustable with each other. This approach also allows for an adjustable light color or color temperature, which simulates the daylight process better and is thus optimally adapted to the human bio-rhythm.
- An LED luminaire with such a circadian light control is already offered under the name "Acuro Active" by the company TRILUX GmbH & Co. KG.
- Solid state light sources especially LED produce
- the light color is fixed unchangeable, for example by the semiconductor used. Therefore, for an optional adjustment of the generated light color or the color temperature, the mixture of light from at least two differently colored light sources is required.
- ww warm white
- tw daylight white
- a daylight-like, circadian course can be achieved by proportionally dimming or dosing the respective light emission.
- WO 2011/131200 A1 discloses a light module with two boards, on each of which light sources are arranged with a predetermined arrangement pattern.
- the two boards are arranged one above the other, the upper board having through-bores arranged on this upper board in such a predetermined arrangement grid, which corresponds to the predetermined arrangement grid of the light sources on the lower board. Due to the arrangement and design of the two boards this light module allows the Radiate light sources of both boards in the same direction of radiation.
- EP 1 930 947 discloses a light module with a plurality of boards arranged side by side, wherein the boards have at their adjoining side regions tooth structures, so that a homogeneous lighting effect of the light module over its entire planar extent is ensured away.
- DE 20 2010 008 480 U1 discloses an LED lamp having two side by side arranged boards, wherein the two boards each have light sources with different light color. By juxtaposing the boards with different light colors, a light mixing of these light colors is guaranteed.
- An object of the present invention is therefore to propose a solution for the mixture of light colors, which simplifies the production or reduces the production costs. This object is achieved by an LED module with the features of claim 1 and also by a luminaire with the features of claim 5 and by a lighting system with the features of claim 8.
- a generic luminaire for adjustable mixing of light colors, in particular of LED light comprises an LED module.
- the LED module comprises a first circuit board, which is provided according to a predetermined arrangement grid with a plurality of light sources of a first type, in particular equipped with LED elements of a first type. These produce light with a first light color.
- the generic lamp comprises a second board, which is also equipped according to a predetermined, preferably identical arrangement grid with a plurality of light sources of a second type.
- the second board can be equipped in particular with LED elements of a second type. These produce light with a second light color, which is different from the first light color and suitable for the desired mixture.
- the mixture of the two light colors allows at least in the first board or in both boards recesses are provided according to the arrangement grid of the second board and in the region of the recesses in the first board one or more second light sources, eg LED elements, the second board are positioned.
- the second light sources eg LED elements
- all or only part of the second light sources, isolated or in groups, may be positioned in the region of correspondingly assigned recesses in the first circuit board.
- the luminaire according to the invention comprises a first and a second circuit board, each having tooth-like lateral recesses on one side between which tongues are equipped with light sources, the tongues and recesses intermeshing so that light sources of the first light color and light sources of the second light color are arranged alternately, to allow a mixture of both light colors, wherein the vast majority of the light sources of the two boards is arranged on the tongues of the two boards.
- recess is to be understood in the broadest sense herein and includes any type of translucent, typically material-free, region in the first board. A material-removing or machining the board is suitable for generating the recesses, but not mandatory. Also, the position or range of the second light source (s) with respect to the associated recess is to be understood. This includes any arrangement in which light from a light source of the second type can radiate into the same spatial area as the light from the light sources on the first board, for example from starting within a recess or through it.
- Such a positioning is also given, for example, when viewed in the direction opposite to the emission direction, at least part of the second light sources lies within the field of view through the recesses.
- the arrangement grid can in particular be identical to a placement grid. If both arrangement grids are identical, the production of the two types of LED boards can be carried out with a single placement machine setting.
- all boards can be made in a larger format and each with a plurality of identical light sources. Subsequently, two such boards, each with different light source types can be assembled to form a mixable module, such as an LED module.
- an identical board layout is preferably used for both the first and the second board.
- the corresponding board can also be used for luminaires without light mixing, in line with a platform strategy. Due to the design according to the invention, the cost of the board are reduced by higher quantities. Standardization also reduces warehousing and logistics costs. Furthermore, a single insertion machine with a single setting can produce all the required variants. Only the bulbs used are to be changed accordingly during the assembly. Accordingly, the modular board layout also facilitates conversion to a new generation of light sources, e.g. a new LED generation.
- both the first and the second board each have, similar to a rake, to one side tooth-like side recesses between which lie tongues each, which are equipped with light sources.
- the tongues and recesses intermesh with each other so that light sources of the first light color on the first board and light sources of the second light color on the second board are alternately arranged with intersecting radiation patterns so as to achieve the mixture of both light colors .
- the first and the second board are preferably identical for the purpose of standardization, so that only one type of board is required.
- This form allows a technically homogeneous light mixture in a particularly simple and material-saving manner.
- the different types of LED can each be arranged alternately and immediately next to each other in a plane.
- circuit board forms have already been proposed in which, in order to save on board material, the usefulness is separated into complementary parts in such a way that finger-shaped tongues are formed, see, for example, the patent applications EP 2 219 066 A1 and WO 2009/022661 , Correspondingly shaped boards are used for backlighting and are arranged side by side, ie not intermeshing. All boards are consistently equipped with an identical LED type. Also in the field of backlighting in displays or screens, the reveals EP 1 930 947 A1 Special shapes for better mixing of the light in the edge area of the boards. These shapes make it possible to interlock the edges of the boards so as to avoid unwanted transition or edge effects in the backlight. Again, only a single type of LED is used. However, a luminaire or a light module with adjustable and for the lighting technology sufficiently homogeneous light color or color temperature is with the teachings of the three latter patent applications are not possible.
- the center distance between two tongues is identical to the center distance of the respectively adjacent recesses.
- all tongues and recesses are each executed regularly and in plan complementary. However, with different directional characteristics between the two types, even irregular distances may be expedient.
- the terms arrangement and placement grid mean the same, at least with respect to the second board.
- the second circuit board viewed counter to the emission direction, is arranged behind the first circuit board in such a way that at least part of the light sources with the second light color are aligned with the through-holes or the radiation occurs at least largely through the through-holes. Even without arranging the light sources of both light colors in the same plane, a mixture is thus made possible by overlapping directional characteristics. The effort for shaping or processing the boards can be reduced thereby. In addition, in principle, only in the front board making the holes actually required. On the other hand, the harkenieri execution described above with interlocking tongues and recesses for easier assembly and allows higher specific heat losses, i. higher light intensity and illuminant density.
- an identically designed basic type is preferably used as the circuit board for both the light sources of the first and the second type.
- the drilling template and the assembly grid of the light sources are designed according to a regular pattern and at least largely congruent.
- the first and second light sources can be regularly arranged alternately at least in one direction, so that the most homogeneous possible light mixture is achieved.
- each board For convenient light mixing and cost reduction, it is advantageous to equip each board with the same surface density and preferably with a plurality of at least 16 LED elements of the same type.
- LEDs can each be used either with a light color of less than 3300K or more than 5300K in order to realize a wsws control.
- the luminaire may comprise at least one operating device, preferably two operating devices, for each independently dimmable supply of the first and second light sources.
- a controller may be integrated into the luminaire for the automatic control of the respective light sources of each circuit board.
- a control for mixing both light colors according to a pre-programmed time course, in particular a circadian or daylight-like course are provided.
- the dimmable operating device (s) can be dimmed for independently dimming the first independently dimmable one another and the second light source may also be designed to be externally controllable, for example via DALI.
- the invention also relates to a lighting system for mixing light colors, in particular ww and tw light, with a lamp according to one of the preceding embodiments, with an operating device arrangement for adjusting the light output of the first and second light sources independently of each other, as well as with a common control for the control gear arrangement.
- the invention further relates to an LED module for mixing light colors.
- This comprises a first circuit board with a plurality of first light sources for generating light having a first light color, in particular with LED elements, wherein the light sources are according to a predetermined arrangement grid and a second board having a plurality of second light sources for generating light with a second, different from the first light color light color, in particular with LED elements, wherein the light sources are arranged according to a predetermined arrangement grid, wherein at least the first board has recesses, which are provided according to the arrangement grid on the second board and in the area each one or a plurality of second light sources of the second board are positioned to allow a mixture of the two light colors, wherein the first and the second board each have on one side tooth-like lateral recesses between which tongues are equipped with light sources, the tongues un D recesses mesh so that light sources of the first light color and light sources of the second light color are arranged alternately to allow a mixture of the two light colors, wherein the vast majority of
- the proposed design and construction of the boards and modules is particularly suitable for interior lighting, in particular for a ceiling light, which has a flat light exit opening in the luminaire housing for several, for example four, tile-like modules which are mounted side by side, for example on a mounting body.
- a translucent or opal cover can be provided in front of the modules or in the light exit opening.
- FIG.1 shows a first board 101 and a second board 102, each with an identical, rake or crenellated floor plan.
- the layout of the two boards 101, 102 is designed with E-like areas with tongues 104 and recesses 106 alternating.
- the recesses 106 are provided with a substantially rectangular elevation perpendicular to one side of the respective circuit board 101, 102.
- the tongues 104 remaining between the recesses 106 are substantially rectangular and extend in a strip-like manner in parallel and project perpendicularly from the web which carries the tongues 104.
- the tongues 104 and recesses 106 are complementary and can mesh like a toothing.
- each of the two boards 101, 102 are each provided a plurality of LED lighting elements with the same emission direction.
- LED lighting elements 111 of a first type such as ww-LED
- LED lighting elements 112 of a second type are arranged, for example tw-LED.
- the LED lighting elements 111, 112 are each provided according to an identical assembly pattern on the identically designed boards 101, 102.
- the LED lighting elements 111, 112 are each arranged in particular in parallel rows.
- the vast majority of the LED lighting elements 111, 112 is in this case in the region of the tongues 104. In the remaining area, however, some LED lighting elements 111, 112 may also be provided to utilize the board surface.
- the alternating LED lighting elements 111, 112 in the example after FIG.1-2 arranged in the same plane next to each other with identical emission direction.
- the assembly grid after 2A is also in the direction of both main axes of the boards 101, 102 periodically with the same pitch, so that as homogeneous as possible appear intermixing of the two types of lighting elements 111, 112 is achieved.
- 2A also shows the center distance D1 between two tongues 104, measured in the direction perpendicular to the row axis of the first light-emitting elements 111 and to the main axis of the tongues 104 (or the direction left-right in FIG 2A ).
- This is identical for each board 101, 102 to the center distance D2 between two recesses 106 and also selected regularly and corresponds to twice the pitch in the example shown. Larger integer multiples of the grid spacing are possible, ie in each case two rows per tongue 104 and / or per recess 106. Accordingly, in the example 2A taken on each board 101, 102 per se, the LED lighting elements 111, 112 each lined up at a distance D1 or D2.
- the two composite circuit boards 101, 102 with alternating light sources 111, 112 of different light colors or color temperatures form in the example 2A-2B an approximately square, tile-like LED module 120, which is suitable for mixing the two color temperatures.
- a relatively low areal density of the light sources 111, 112 is selected to reduce the heat dissipation requirements. So can conventional non-thermal materials for the printed circuit boards 101, 102 are used. However, the use of high power LED and / or higher area or power density is not excluded. In these cases, thermal circuit boards, in particular IMS or metal core boards, can be used as circuit boards 101, 102.
- FIG.3 shows a schematic front or front view of a lamp 300 with a lamp housing 301 and with open light exit opening, ie without a typically mounted cover, eg an opal cover.
- a typically mounted cover eg an opal cover.
- four tiled modules 120 are provided inside the light exit opening on a mounting body 303 2A-2B mounted side by side in the same plane, in particular screwed interchangeably with the mounting body 303 for later maintenance.
- FIGS. 4A-4B show an alternative embodiment of suitable boards 401, 402 and an LED module 420 composed thereof.
- 406 provided as recesses through holes 406 in the first board.
- the through-holes 406 are provided in the first circuit board 401 congruent with the identical mounting pattern of the first and second circuit boards 401, 402, but laterally offset by half the center distance D1.
- the bores 406 are located centrally between the rows of first LED lighting elements 111 in the first circuit board 401.
- the center distance D2 between the parallel rows of through-holes 406 is also identical to the center distance D1 between the parallel rows of LED lighting elements 111.
- the second board 402 is mounted behind the first board 401 so that a part of the second light sources 112 is arranged in alignment with the through-holes 406. Accordingly, the directivity characteristics of the first and the second overlap second LED lighting elements 111, 112, to allow a mixture of both light colors, such as warm white and daylight white.
- rows of LED lighting elements 111, 112 are provided on the outside, and parallel rows of through holes 406 are arranged centrally therebetween.
- second board 402 no through holes 406 required.
- These outer LED lighting elements 112 may protrude laterally offset relative to the first circuit board 401.
- the second board 402 may be attached to the back of the first board 401 or may be releasably secured to the carrier together with it. As in 4B It can be shown in the stacked arrangement 4A-4B be expedient, to avoid short circuits, an electrically insulating layer 407 between two boards 401, 402 to install.
- the second board 402 may according to 4B , apart from the assembly with LED lighting elements 112 of different light color, to be completely identical to the first board 401 to standardize.
- the second circuit board 402 may also have through-holes 406. However, through-holes 406 are not required in the second board 402.
- FIG.5 shows a schematic front view of a second light 500 with a light housing 501.
- the light differs from that FIG.3 only by the use of LED modules 420 according to 4A-4B so reference will be made to the above description.
- FIG.6 shows in an open front view a third variant of a lamp 600 with a lamp housing 601 for LED modules 620.
- This lamp 600 differs from the previous examples through the use of LED modules 620 according to an additional design variant.
- the LED modules 620 also have two boards 621, 622 with through-holes 626 as recesses.
- the boards 621, 622 are analogous to 4B on each other stacked mounted on the mounting body 603. In contrast to 4A-4B
- the rows of the LED light elements 111 of the first light color are parallel to the rows of the LED light elements 112 of the second light color also in the parallel direction of the rows of approximately half the pitch, ie D1 / 2 or D2 / 2, offset provided.
- the lower board 622 also projects on two sides from the front board 621, as in FIG FIG.6 seen.
- the first and second LED lighting elements 111, 112 also alternate in the direction of the diagonal. With such a checkerboard alternating arrangement, a further improvement or a less direction-dependent light mixture can be achieved. Further, with checkerboard alternating first and second LED lighting elements 111, 112, the need for through-holes 626 can be reduced and, if desired, a higher surface density can be achieved.
- the boards 621, 622 after FIG.6 have a uniform pattern in both directions periodic assembly pattern for the most homogeneous possible mixing.
- the drilling template for the through holes 626 is accordingly also in both directions identical regularly and in FIG.6 chosen in two directions offset.
- Shine after FIG.3 , to FIG.5 and after FIG.6 allow in particular the replica of the change in natural light during the day by the warm white (ww) light, eg at about 3000K from first LED lighting elements 111 with daylight white (tw) light, eg at about 6500K, from second LED lighting elements 112 is mixed ,
- FIG.7 For this purpose, purely by way of example and simplified, an electrical circuit diagram of a luminaire 300 is shown. For each independently dimmable power supply of the first and second LED lighting elements 111, 112, a first LED operating device 731 and a second LED operating device 732 are provided.
- the two operating devices 731, 732 are independently dimmable.
- the first operating device 731 in this case operates the first LED lighting elements 111 of all LED modules 120 of a luminaire 300. It thus makes it possible to set the light output of the first LED luminous elements 111 and thus the relative proportion of ww light in the emitted light output.
- the second LED operating device 732 makes it possible to adjust the light output of the second LED lighting elements 112 of all the LED modules 120.
- the light output of the second LED lighting elements 112 and, accordingly, the relative amount of tw light in the emitted light output can also be independent be set.
- FIG.7 also shows a common control 730, which is executed externally and can control the operating devices 731, 732 via a data connection, eg according to DALI.
- the controller 730 may be included as an integrated controller in the luminaire 300.
- the independent dimming of the two types of LED lighting elements 111, 112 via the dimmable operating devices 731, 732 takes place.
- a circadian course of the color temperature of the light emitted by the lamp 300 for example, a circadian course of the color temperature of the light emitted by the lamp 300.

FIG.2A ein periodisches, gleichmäßiges Muster aus LED-Leuchtelementen 111, 112.
FIG.3 zeigt in schematischer Vorder- bzw.
- In
