Description

The present invention relates to a cover for a waste container, with an opening formed in the cover, through which at least one of the opening associated sliding surface of a slide waste into the waste container can be transferred, according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a cover is known from the patent US-A-4,782,970 known.

Usually, in large kitchens, canteens and similar establishments in the catering trade, a plate of coarse food waste is individually pre-cleaned by hand or with a rubber glove, sponge, napkins, scrapers or hand brushes. This pre-cleaning is unhygienic, time consuming and also ineffective.

This is how the German patent application describes DE 198 45 541 A1 a Teller-Vorabräumer that can be used hygienically flawless, effective and time-saving for the removal of food residues from plates before entering the dishwasher. This plate Vorabräumer is characterized by the fact that it has different brush systems for improved stripping of residues on plates. By means of this design can be worked with two hands, each with a plate in each hand, faster, cleaner, more hygienic and effective, so that the staff even with the food remains no longer come into contact. The plate pre-cleaner itself consists of a dishwasher-safe stainless steel holder and the Abräumer, which can be quickly solved by means of a quick release for cleaning. Even with a relaxation of the quick release is falling out of the detachable Abräumers prevented. The plate pre-cleaner can be mounted in different positions on working, rinsing and / or loading tables or on / via waste containers.

In the kitchens of the hospitality industry, during peak hours during peak seasons, there is often no time for the required attention to be paid to the separation of the leftovers from reusable cutlery and food preparation utensils. So it happens, for example, that lying on a plate under a napkin cutlery accidentally thrown into the bin. For the owners or tenants of a catering trade, this is a huge cost factor, as always new cutlery or food preparation utensils must be purchased.

Therefore, covers or lids for waste containers are known, which allow easy removal of food particles and at the same time prevent unintentional disposal of cutlery. An example of such a lid for waste containers shows the international patent application WO 03/018441 A1 , A body forming the lid here has formed a slide assembly leading to an opening. Through the opening of the food waste enters the waste container. The lid is attached to the waste container. Walls of the slide assembly are also provided with a permanent magnet. A flap may also be provided with a permanent magnet so that unintentionally discarded cutlery will adhere accordingly and will not get into the waste. The flap is pivotally mounted to the body so as to block the opening when no waste is introduced into the waste container.

A similar executed waste container lid is the US patent US 6,129,213 A refer to. The waste container lid has formed in at least a portion of an opening into the waste container inside. Further, the waste container lid has a chute, through which the food particles get into the waste container. At least one permanent magnet is associated with the chute, so that the unintentionally discarded cutlery also sticks here and does not get into the waste. The waste container lid also carries a scraper blade which is formed in the vicinity of the chute so that the food particles scraped from the plates and the like with the scraper, through the chute and into the waste container fall.

Weitere Abdeckungen für einen Abfallbehälter sind aus WO-A-2005/042 382 und US-A-4 632 253 bekannt.Other covers for a waste container are off WO-A-2005/042 382 and U.S. Patent 4,632,253 known.

The invention has for its object to provide a cover for a waste container, with the unintentional disposal of all metallic components in the waste is prevented.

The object is achieved by a cover for a waste container comprising the features in claim 1.

The cover for a waste container according to the invention is made in one piece by means of an injection molding of a polymer and has formed a peripheral edge, with which the cover rests on the waste container. Several permanent magnet mounts are molded integrally with the cover below the portion of the chute slide surface by the injection molding process. A receptacle is formed integrally with the cover in the region of the front edge of the sliding surface by the injection molding process. A single metal detector is seated in the receptacle to detect metallic components in the waste prior to transfer of the waste to the waste container. In a compartment which is formed below the surface of the cover, sits electronics and control for the single metal detector.

The advantage of the arrangement of the metal detector is that metallic components of the waste are detectable prior to the transfer of the waste into the waste container. The assignment of the metal detector to the cover has the advantage that both metallically magnetizable components as well as non-magnetizable metallic components in the waste are detectable.

It should be mentioned at this point that the metal detector can be supplied with the necessary energy in different ways. The power supply can be done with a battery or with a rechargeable battery or via a conventional mains connection. On a detailed operation of a metal detector is not discussed here, as this is well known to a person skilled in the art.

Furthermore, a counter can be assigned to the metal detector so that detected metallic components which are to be transferred via the cover by carelessness into the waste container are counted. Thus, the detected metallic components are detected and the number of events (detection of a metallic component) can be read on the counter. Another possibility is that an electronic counter device logs the detected metallic components via WLAN with a computer.

Furthermore, it is advantageous that the cover can be provided with passive catching means.

The passive catch means are permanent magnets which are seated in the plurality of molded receptacles to adhere magnetizable components of the waste to the permanent magnet prior to transfer of the waste into the waste container.

According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, a further sliding surface is provided opposite the chute, which has a lower inclination, than the sliding surface of the chute. A front edge of the further sliding surface is arranged such that when projected in the Z direction, the front edge of the sliding surface of the chute is spaced a distance from the front edge of the further sliding surface so that waste to be cleaned before its transfer into the waste container on the sliding surface of the Chute falls. The sliding surface of the chute has formed a smaller pitch in the region of the front edge of the sliding surface than the rest of the sliding surface of the chute. Thus, the slipping speed of the waste is somewhat slowed down and the detection of the metallic components of the waste by the metal detector is ensured.

In particular, the cover for a waste bin for waste food waste is used so that metallic cutlery and / or metallic food preparation utensils are detectable prior to transfer of the waste to the waste bin. Therefore, this invention is just for commercial kitchens of catering or catering of interest, since it often happens that cutlery items are thrown into the waste container unintentionally. With the help of the cover according to the invention the cutlery is detected by the metal detector and optionally caught with a permanent magnet, so that accidental disposal of metallic cutlery and / or metallic food preparation utensils is prevented in the waste.

FIG. 1 shows a schematic view of an embodiment of a cover 1 for a waste container 3, which is not part of the invention. In the cover 1, an opening 5 is formed, through which one of the opening 5 associated sliding surface 9 a slide 7, the waste 11 can be converted into the waste container 3. In the present embodiment, the cover 1 is associated with two metal detectors 13a, 13b such that metallic components 15 of the waste 11 are detectable prior to the transfer of the waste 11 into the waste container 3. By means of the metal detectors 13a, 13b, it is possible to detect both metallically magnetizable components 15 and metallic non-magnetizable components 15 in the waste 11.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 1 a metal detector 13 a is arranged below the sliding surface 9. Another metal detector 13b is disposed at the opening 5 in the cover 1. The further metal detector 13b may at least partially enclose the opening 5.

It is advantageous if the cover 1 is provided with at least one passive catching means comprising at least one permanent magnet 17. The permanent magnets 17 are associated with the cover 1 in such a way that detected metallic components 15 are caught before the transfer of the waste 11 in the waste container 3 and thus can not be lost. A metallic component 15 remains adhered to the permanent magnet 17 prior to the transfer of the waste 11 into the waste container 3, provided the metallic component 15 comprises a magnetizable material. For safe transfer of the waste 11 in the waste container 3, the chute 7 is arranged such that the sliding surface 9 has an upper portion 23 which projects beyond a surface 25 of the cover 1. A lower portion 24 of the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7 protrudes into the waste container.

The cover 1 is mainly used for a waste container 3 for waste 11 from leftovers, so that metallic cutlery 15 and / or metallic food preparation utensils before the transfer of the waste 11 in the waste container 3 detectable are. Thus, an unintentional throwing away of magnetizable cutlery pieces 15 and / or metallic food preparation utensils is prevented, since a piece of cutlery 15 in the embodiment shown here first by the metal detector 13 a or 13b detected and then by permanent magnets 17, is caught.

FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of the cover 1 according to the invention for a waste container 3 (not shown here). The waste container 3 has a substantially circular cross-section and has a diameter 20. In the event that the waste container 3 has a larger diameter 28 than the cover 1, an adapter 30 is placed on the waste container 3 and the cover 1 is accordingly on attached to the adapter 30 (see FIG. 10). At the in FIG. 2 As shown embodiment, a further sliding surface 32 is formed opposite to the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7, which is inclined to the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7. The front edge 34 of the chute 7 is provided clearly below the surface 25 of the cover 1. The arrangement of the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7 both above and below the surface 25 of the cover 1 ensures that the waste 11 remains on the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7 for a certain time, so that certainly the metallic components 15 of the waste 11 can be detected or rejected. The cover 1 has a peripheral edge 22, with which the cover 1 sits on the waste container 3 or on the adapter 30 for the cover 1. The cover 1 is made in one piece by injection molding of a polymer.

FIG. 3 shows a sectional view of the cover according to the invention 1. Opposite the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7, a further sliding surface 32 is formed, which is inclined to the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7. The further sliding surface 32 has a front edge 35 which is formed slightly below the surface 25 of the cover 1. The sliding surface 32 has a lower inclination than the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7. The inclination of the sliding surface 32 is advantageous since the waste 11 can be safely transferred from there into the waste container 3. For this purpose, the front edge 35 of the further sliding surface 32 is arranged such that waste 11 to be cleared of the further sliding surface 32 falls on the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7 before it is transferred to the waste container 3. When projected in the Z direction, the front edge 35 of the further sliding surface 32 is spaced from the front edge 34 of the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7 by a distance 29. The distance 29 of the front edge 35 of the further sliding surface 32 is dimensioned such that the waste 11 to be cleared of the further sliding surface 32 falls on the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7 before it is transferred into the waste container 3. At the in figure 3 illustrated embodiment, a receptacle 36 is formed in the region of the front edge 34 of the sliding surface 9, in which the sole metal detector 13 is seated. Below the surface 25 of the cover 1, a compartment 37 is further formed, in which the electronics and control 40 is housed for the metal detector 13. Below the lower portion 24 of the sliding surface 9 of the chute 7 a plurality of receptacles 38 are formed for the permanent magnets 17.

FIG. 4 shows the bottom view of in FIG. 2 Below the lower portion 24 of the sliding surface 9 of the slide 7, the receptacles 38 are formed for the permanent magnets 19. Likewise, in the region of the front edge 35 of the sliding surface 9 of the slide 7, the receptacle 36 for the metal detector 13 is formed. On the underside of the further sliding surface 32 a plurality of webs 41 are formed for mechanical stabilization. Likewise, on the underside 26 of the cover 1, the compartment 37 for the electronics and control 40 is formed. The compartment 37 can be closed with a cover, not shown, so as to ensure protection against contamination. The receptacles 38 for the permanent magnets 19, the receptacle 36 for the metal detector 13, the compartment 40 and the webs 41 are formed in the manufacture of the one-piece cover 1 during the injection molding process.

FIG. 5 shows a schematic view of a placed on a waste container 3 according to the invention cover 1. The diameter 28 of the waste container 3 is greater than the diameter 20 of the cover 1. To still attach the cover 1 on the waste container 3, an adapter 30 is provided. On the adapter 30, the cover 1 according to the invention is placed.
