Abstract

Description

When mixing and/or removing viscous liquids from cup-like vessels, knives or knife-like tools are used in many areas. There are many different applications, for example in trade, in the industrial environment or in the food sector. In order to better illustrate the invention, an application from everyday life is selected below, which can be transferred to other applications with the same problem description.

In the specific example, the viscous liquid is spreads of different viscosities, which are stored in sealable jars or cups. Examples include jam, hazelnut cream or honey. If you want to put down the knife after removing the spread or use the knife for other types of spreads, typically there is still a disruptive residue of the previously used spread on the knife blade. In order to remove this remainder from the knife blade, it is wiped off the edges of bread, containers or plates, etc. There, the stripped residues usually interfere. In addition to purely visual aspects (does not look appealing), hygienic aspects (smeared fingers/dirty clothing/sticky container) also play a role. In addition, in most cases the knife blade is not satisfactorily cleaned, which leads to unwanted and unappetizing residues on other spreads and containers.

This is where the invention comes in, the object of which is to provide a device for removing viscous materials from knife blades and their storage. According to the invention, this object is achieved according to protection claim 1 by means of a knife scraper which has scraper webs integrated into a retaining ring. These wiper webs form a gap through which the knife blade is guided for cleaning purposes. The stripping webs also serve to fix the knife on the side, which means that the knife can be conveniently set down after use. The device is fully integrated into the opening of the container, which means that it can remain in the container after use.

The knife scraper consists of a retaining ring (1) with integrated scraper webs (2) which are aligned towards the center of the container opening. The stripping webs (2), also referred to below as the primary stripping device, form a gap which serves as a guide for a knife blade. The contaminated knife blade is passed through the gap, causing the material adhering to the knife blade to be stripped off and left in the container. The wedge-shaped recess (7) at the top of the gap minimizes the undesired remaining of material on the top of the scraper device when the knife blade passes through. To make it easier to insert the knife blade into the gap, the stripping webs are funnel-shaped on the top (6). Depending on the nature of the material to be wiped off, the underside of the wiper webs is fitted with a rubber lip (3) to improve the cleaning result.

The stripping webs also serve as a storage device for a knife. The webs (2) prevent the knife blade inserted into the gap from tipping sideways. The dirty knife thus remains in the container and does not have to be placed outside the container. An inconvenient and time-consuming cleaning after each use is therefore not necessary.

The device (1) is fully integrated into the removal opening of the material container, which means that it can remain in the container when the container is closed again with the closure provided for this purpose. The knife scraper thus minimally restricts the handling of the container.

The inside of the retaining ring (1) is partially geometrically flat (5). The resulting straight sections serve as an additional stripping device. By pulling off a dirty knife blade flat on one of these edges, the adhering material remains in the container. The wiping device achieves a significantly improved cleaning result, especially with round-shaped container openings.

Retaining webs (4) are attached to the underside of the device, which, due to the clamping effect, prevent the device from mechanically slipping and falling out of the container. The local widening of the webs at the lower end (8) is dimensioned so that an additional terminal effect is achieved. The mechanical locking concept on the device can be modified for different products or glass geometries.

The knife scraper is made of plastic, which means it can be easily cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher. The device is made of one piece, which does not include any attachments or moving elements. This means there is a low risk of accidentally swallowing or inhaling small parts that may become detached from the construction. The blade scraper can be adapted to different geometries and inner diameters of the container opening using suitable adapter rings.
