Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a container with a removable lid for pasty, viscous or free-flowing masses according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a container is in DE 77 17 675 U disclosed.

In the work of painters, bricklayers, tilers, floor layers, interior decorators and similar craftsmen in the construction industry, a large number of tools and in particular building materials are used. Colors for the interior and exterior of buildings and apartments are processed by the painter and interior decorator. Tilers, floorers and interior decorators use adhesives to connect a wide variety of surfaces, such as carpets, tiles and wallpaper. A large number of containers are used to transport and store the mostly viscous building materials such as paint and adhesives, with plastic buckets having prevailed due to their ease of manufacture and chemical neutrality with regard to the substances contained.

The oval 15 or 12.5 liter plastic bucket made of polypropylene with a lid and first-use closure is a proven classic. It is extremely inexpensive, stackable and suitable for use with food. It is used not only in the construction industry but also in industry, in small businesses and in private use. This product is universally suitable as packaging for liquid and solid filling goods. The high-quality plastic is 100% recyclable.

The plastic containers usually used are conical and narrow towards the bottom of the container. A snap-fit lid is commonly used, which is simply snapped onto the top rim of the container.

Thanks to their conical shape, the buckets can be stacked, are stable, leak-proof and suitable for warm filling.

The products are suitable for use between 5°C and + 45°C as standard. The nominal volume is 12.5 liters.

To remove the components from the usual containers, the processor removes the lid, turns the container over so that it rests with the top opening on the processing plate, and waits for the usually pasty mass to flow from the container onto the plate. Due to the viscosity of the mass, a residual amount often remains in the container, which makes up quite a few percent of the container contents. The user then helps himself, if at hand, by means of a spatula with which he manually scrapes out the residue remaining in the container. It is disadvantageous and annoying that this spatula is then contaminated with the material and has to be cleaned in order to be able to use it again for other applications.

Typically, the spatula is a hand tool consisting of a handle and a long, flat, steel or plastic blade of varying widths, rigid or flexible.

In many manual activities, materials of a mushy consistency, e.g. B. putty, applied, distributed and smoothed. Spatulas are also used to remove flat materials such as wallpaper or glued carpets. In addition to handicrafts, spatulas are also used in other areas as a versatile tool, such as in laboratories (e.g. in building material testing), or even in kitchens and snack bars for removing burnt residues on frying surfaces. In painting, spatulas are used for applying, spreading and modifying pasty paints (acrylic, oil).

In order to have the spatula or the tool ready for the processor on the container and to prevent it from dipping into the material in the container, solutions have been developed with which the tool can be hung on the edge of the container by means of a holder and made available cleanly . Such a holder is in the DE 102010060100 A1 disclosed. A similar solution for accommodating a brush wiper on the edge of the container is in U.S. 3,776,415 described. The brush wiper can be captively attached to the cover, for example by soldering or gluing.

In the one mentioned above DE 77 17 675 U a container for spreadable materials is recommended which provides a spreader spatula on the lid belonging to the vessel and discloses a lid which cooperates with this by means of a complementary plug-in connection or the like.

Next will be in the DE 19 84 511 U suggested putting a spatula in the lid of a paint spray can so that it is available next to a brush that is also inserted to carry out paint work.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide means with which, on the one hand, viscous materials for handicrafts can be stored, transported and made available for removal and, when removed, the entire amount of the Material can be used without too much residue remaining useless in the container. A spatula should be provided for easy, complete removal of the viscous materials.

The object is achieved by a container with the features of claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments are disclosed in the dependent claims, the description and the drawing.

The container according to the invention with a removable lid is intended for the storage, transport and provision of pasty, viscous or free-flowing masses such as paints and adhesives. For this purpose, the container has a container casing and a container base. The container can be closed with a lid at its upper peripheral edge of the container casing, so that the contents of the container are protected from environmental influences and from unintentional leakage. This means that several containers can be stacked on top of each other to save space. The lid has a lid base with a flat surface that supports a detachable spatula.

Thanks to the spatula in the base of the lid, the craftsman already has a handy tool on the container with which he can carefully scrape out and use the remains of the container contents. The waste of material residues remaining in the container is thus largely avoided. Depending on the viscosity and nature of the material, e.g. paints and adhesives, a few percent of the absorbed material remains on the bottom and shell of the container if it cannot be scraped out for lack of a handy tool. The invention not only saves on expensive resources and materials, but also protects the environment when empty containers are disposed of. In addition, carefully emptied and cleaned containers are also more suitable for further use, for example as cleaning or mixing buckets.

In an advantageous embodiment, the spatula is made of the same material as the bottom of the lid, so that the spatula can be removed from the bottom of the lid in practice, e.g. by cutting it out with a knife or scissors. A great advantage is that the spatula is captively attached to the container during transport and use at the construction site. A long search for a suitable tool to remove the material residue is no longer necessary. After the spatula has been used, it can either be kept for other uses or disposed of with the emptied container. Since the spatula is made of the same material as the base of the lid, it can be disposed of together with the lid. In most cases, the lid and container are made of the same plastic, e.g. made of polypropylene, so that the production can be carried out efficiently and cost-effectively using the same material.

A marking on the upper side of the lid base corresponding to the outline of the spatula is advantageous for easy detaching of the spatula from the lid base. The marking can be by printing or by indentation or by both. It is practical to apply the marking with a label or sticker, which can contain instructions for use and other product information. The marking, applied in the form of lines or dashes, makes it easier for the user to cut out the spatula in the correct contour.

As an alternative to the spatula formed from the same material in the base of the lid, this is formed separately and is attached lying flat on the base of the lid. Advantageously, this is releasably glued on and can therefore be easily removed by hand if necessary. A captive, detachable fixation by means of an adhesive strip or a packaging or label film is also expedient. It makes sense for the foil to be clear or transparent, so that the user can immediately recognize the spatula as such. possibly the film, the spatula or the lid is provided with an inscription explaining the purpose and use, such as "Spatula for scraping out "residual amounts".

The flat spatula 8 has a trapezoidal outline and is to be held by hand at its short end 9 , while the long end 10 forms the blade of the flat spatula 8 . As can be seen, the material residue adhering to the inside of the container jacket 3 is scraped out with the long end 10 . Of course, the flat spatula 8 can be used in the same way to scrape out material residues on the container bottom 4 until the container is practically completely emptied of material residues.

In 3 is a commercially available oval plastic bucket 1 'with lid 2, both made of polypropylene to see. The bucket shell 3' tapers conically towards the oval container bottom 4. Due to the conical shape of the bucket shell 3', the plastic bucket 1' when empty can be stacked one inside the other to save space with other empty plastic buckets 1' (not shown). To detach the flat spatula 8 this is lifted by hand at its short end 9 until the flat spatula 8 detaches from its bond with the lid base 7 . It is then available to the user for further use. After use, the flat spatula 8, which is also made of polypropylene, can be disposed of and recycled with the plastic bucket 1'.

Another embodiment of the plastic bucket 1' is in 3 representable. The flat spatula 8 is also applied with a trapezoidal outline as a sticker with a cutting pattern running in lines on the upper side of the lid base 7 . With the help of a sharp blade, a carpet knife or another suitable cutting tool, the flat spatula 8 can be separated from the cover base 7 by making the cut along the dashed outline of the sticker.
