Definitions

  • the invention relates to a side rail for a bed, in particular a hospital and / or nursing bed, with a height-adjustable longitudinal spar, which has a bar, the end receives a cap longitudinally displaceable.
  • Bed side rails and side railed beds are well known in the art. They are used in particular in the health and / or care sector.
  • a generic side rails is for example from the DE 33 09 174 C1 known.
  • Side rails can typically be transferred from a non-use position to a use position and vice versa. It is allowed at a located in non-use position side rails a step into the bed. In the position of use, the side rails of a person lying in bed serves as fall protection.
  • a side rail preferably has two longitudinal spars, which are arranged one above the other in the vertical direction.
  • the longitudinal beams are designed to be adjustable in height and can thus be moved from a non-use position to a use position and vice versa.
  • the bed has bed heads, each providing guide rails, in which the longitudinal beams are each mounted height-adjustable end.
  • Such a construction is for example from the DE 20 2011 052 412 U1 known.
  • Comparable constructions are from the DE 202 18 030 U1 and the EP 1 817 985 B1 known according to the construction according to the DE 202 18 030 U1 an additional pivoting movement of the longitudinal beams is allowed and the teaching of the EP 1 817 985 B1 to support the longitudinal beams additional support post provides, which allows to divide a side rail in the longitudinal direction into two independent sections.
  • the height adjustment of a generic side rail is done on the user side in such a way that initially a height adjustment with respect to the one bed head and then a height adjustment with respect to the other bed head is made. It results as a result of this handling a moment of skew, namely, when the side rails or the longitudinal beams of the side rail with respect to the one bed head are already height method, with respect to the other bed head but not yet.
  • this intermediate position the longitudinal struts of the side rail between the bed heads are diagonal to the bed surface provided by the bed. To allow this diagonal position, it requires a length compensation.
  • a height adjustment of the type described above is therefore only possible if the longitudinal bars of the side rail allow a length compensation tolerance.
  • swords which are each arranged at the end of a longitudinal spar.
  • the swords are arranged longitudinally displaceable within a respective end of the longitudinal spar formed pocket.
  • the swords in turn serve the rotatable arrangement of the spar to a height adjustment mechanism, which allows in combination with the slidable in the longitudinal direction of the spar arrangement of the swords in the associated pockets a diagonal position of the side rail spars.
  • side rail spars are also known, which can be used in combination with a length-extendable bed.
  • Such side rail spars are telescopically formed on the tube-in-tube principle and allow depending on the design of the bed extension a stroke of up to 200mm.
  • Such a tube-in-tube principle discloses, for example, the EP 2 186 499 A1 ,
  • the longitudinal spar of the side grille according to the invention is surprisingly simple in design, but offers in contrast to the prior art, an extended functionality, and this with a simplified handling.
  • the longitudinal spar for the side rails according to the invention has a lath.
  • This lath can be made of wood, a wood material, plastic or other material.
  • the decisive factor is that, thanks to the design according to the invention, it does not have to have any pockets at its end for receiving swords.
  • the Manufacturing therefore proves to be simple and less expensive, because it only requires a cut to length of, for example, rod or rod material to the desired length.
  • the tailor-made tailor-made to measure is fitted on one end and one on each end with a cap.
  • a cap is formed as a sleeve member closed on one side, in which the bar is inserted at each end.
  • the lath takes the caps on longitudinally displaceable, that is, the end of the bar provided caps are arranged on this longitudinally displaceable.
  • the longitudinal beams according to the invention can be equally used both for standard beds, that is, for non-extendible beds in length, as well as for such beds, which are equipped extendable in length.
  • the side rail according to the invention makes optically no difference between a retracted and an extended state.
  • optical perception unlike a tube-in-tube system, no transitions between the inner and outer tubes come into play.
  • longitudinal spar has a bar and arranged thereon Caps, wherein the relative position of the caps to the lath optically does not matter. The appearance remains even after a transfer from the retracted to the extended position or vice versa rather unchanged.
  • the caps are each arranged slat remotely rotatable on a mechanism for height adjustment of the longitudinal spar.
  • a mechanism may have a blade formed as a blade for arranging a longitudinal spar.
  • Such a length compensation is accomplished in the manner already described by the longitudinally displaceable arranged on the bar caps. In this respect, it only requires a rotatable arrangement of the respective cap on the associated height adjustment mechanism, which results in a total of simplified construction, both in the production as well as in the assembly or disassembly.
  • the mechanism for height adjustment has a height-movable guided in a bed-side guide rail slider on which the longitudinal spar, that is the sogitterholm is pivotally mounted, wherein the pivot point for a pivoting movement of the longitudinal spar outside of the guide rail provided by the guideway lies.
  • the pivot point for a pivoting movement of the longitudinal beam is outside of the guide rail provided by the guideway.
  • the slider that is to say the sliding element together with the blade arranged thereon, by the manufacturer, that is to say insert it into the respective associated guide rail.
  • the sword protrudes longitudinal spar side out of the provided from the bed guide rail and serves the lubverschwenkbaren arrangement of a longitudinal spar.
  • this wooverschwenkbare arrangement of the longitudinal spar on the sword can be realized in a simple manner by a bore-pin arrangement.
  • both a simple installation and a simple disassembly is permitted, since, in contrast to the prior art, access to the slider is no longer required.
  • the lath has on its two large surfaces in each case one center groove extending in the longitudinal direction of the slats.
  • the design of such a center groove is advantageous in that as a result a simplified handle is achieved by the user.
  • the fingertips of a user's hand can be adjusted in height adjustment of the side rail in dipping the center groove of the longitudinal spar, which on the one hand allows a secure gripping, on the other hand allows a simplified introduction of force, which in particular simplifies a movement movement of the side rail in the vertical direction upwards.
  • the caps carried by the crossbar are equipped according to a further feature of the invention, each on the pale side with a concavity, which engages in the final assembled state in the respectively associated center groove of the crossbar.
  • an additional guidance of the caps is achieved relative to the bar.
  • a tilting of the caps relative to the bar can be prevented, which allows a permanently secure guidance in the longitudinal direction of the bar.
  • a cap by a stroke of 70 mm to 130 mm, preferably from 80 mm to 120 mm, more preferably from 90 mm to 110 mm, even more preferably 100 mm longitudinally displaceable on the lath is arranged.
  • each cap can be moved by a certain single stroke relative to the crossbar, preferably by a stroke of 100 mm.
  • a total stroke can be achieved, resulting in the sum of the two individual strokes.
  • a single stroke of 100 mm this results in a total stroke of 200 mm. In this way it is permitted to follow also comparatively large bed extensions.
  • a cap is preferably arranged captive on the bar. This is to ensure that during a movement, the bar does not accidentally slip out of a receiving cap. It is for this purpose per cap a locking device is provided which ensures the captive arrangement of the cap on the bar.
  • the locking device comprises a spring-loaded locking pin, which engages in the final assembled state in a double-sided closed longitudinal groove.
  • the locking pin For the purpose of assembly or disassembly of the locking pin is formed spring loaded. For example, it is fixed in a hole provided by the lath. For the purpose of assembly, it is pressed against the spring force in the hole provided by the lath. The associated cap can then be placed on the crossbar be put on. This is provided on the inside with a corresponding to the locking pin formed longitudinal groove. Once this longitudinal groove comes into line with the locking pin, this can extend due to the spring force acting on it and snaps into the longitudinal groove. The longitudinal groove is closed on both sides, thus providing so far stops for the locking pin ready. Once the locking pin in the course of a proper Vefahrschul aufeutic one of the longitudinal groove limiting attacks, a further movement of the cap relative to the bar is denied in this direction. Unintentional removal of the cap from the bar is thus reliably prevented.
  • a cap is formed of plastic.
  • the slider and the sword are preferably formed fixed to each other, preferably in one piece.
  • no rotatable arrangement of slider on the one hand and sword on the other hand is provided.
  • the embodiment of the invention instead provides that the longitudinal spar is pivotally mounted on the sword.
  • the previously described, end of the longitudinal spar provided cap is used.
  • the slider of each longitudinal spar is in each case equipped with a holding element.
  • This holding element is configured in the manner of a bracket and cooperates with an abutment, which is supported by the respectively associated support spar, that is, by the support spar, which provides the guide rail for the slider.
  • the bow-shaped holding element engages behind the abutment, so that the associated longitudinal spar is suspended from the abutment on the support spar side.
  • the holding member is pivotally mounted on the slider, so that a transfer of the side grid is realized in the non-use position in a simple manner that the holding element is pivoted so that it comes out of engagement with the associated abutment.
  • the retaining element is released, so that the longitudinal spar along the associated guide rail, also called guide groove, run free and can be transferred from the use position to the non-use position.
  • the above-described holding element abutment construction impresses with its simplicity both in the structural design as well as in the handling. In order to transfer the longitudinal spar of the side rail from the non-use position into the use position, this is to be taken by the user and moved counter to the force acting on the longitudinal beam weight up along the guide rails provided by the support rails.
  • the retaining element is preferably spring-loaded, in particular resilient. It is therefore under spring preload.
  • the spring bias ensures that the holding element is held in the closed position, that is, the position that occupies the holding element in cooperation with the associated abutment. In a traversing movement of the longitudinal spar from the non-use position into the position of use, the spring bias thus ensures that the holding element snaps into the associated abutment upon reaching the position of use.
  • a manual operation is not required so far.
  • the holding elements of the longitudinal spar are first to be pivoted into their respective release position, against the respectively acting spring preload. This has to be done by manual actuation of the retaining elements. In this respect, an unintentional release of the holding elements and thus of the associated longitudinal spar is not possible, which is particularly advantageous in terms of safety aspects.
  • the holding element is spring-loaded, which can be done, for example, that a corresponding spring is provided, which holds the holding element in the closed position under spring tension. It is, however, particularly preferred to design the retaining element so that it is spring-loaded in that it itself is resilient. On additional spring elements can be omitted according to this alternative embodiment, which in particular for reasons of simplified cost-effective production and Maintenance is beneficial.
  • the holding element has according to a further feature of the invention via two articulated arms which engage in the final assembled state in corresponding holes of the slider.
  • the bow-shaped retaining element has two bow arms, which are coupled together via a connecting bow. End of the hanger arms, the articulated arms are formed with which the connection to the slider is formed by the articulated arms engage with their respective free ends in correspondingly designed holes in the slider.
  • This construction proves to be advantageously comparatively simple and safe to handle.
  • the pivotable arrangement of the retaining element on the slider is effected via the engaging in the holes articulated arms of the holding element.
  • the articulated arms are spaced from each other in the height direction of the holding element.
  • This embodiment has the effect that the bearing point of the retaining element and the pressure fulcrum, which is set in the intended use case during actuation, differ geometrically from one another. As a result, a resilient return movement of the retaining element in the direction of the closed position is effected.
  • This configuration therefore makes it possible to effect both the connection of the retaining element to the slider and the resilient recovery of the retaining element in its closed position by a simple structural measure. Additional components are not required.
  • a securing element which engages around the two bracket arms of the retaining element.
  • This fuse element fulfills two functions. On the one hand, because of its arrangement encompassing the retaining element, it ensures that the two bow arms of the retaining element can not spread apart unintentionally. This has a positive effect on the reliability in an advantageous manner.
  • the securing element of the user-side operation of the holding element for which purpose is preferably provided to provide the fuse element with a handle that can be taken on the user side in a simple manner.
  • the with the Holding element cooperating abutment is designed as a hook.
  • the holding element engages with its connecting bracket designed as a hook abutment.
  • the hook has a retaining projection on the input side.
  • the retaining projection serves as additional protection, since already the resilient bias of the support member ensures that this is held in the closed position and can not accidentally go into the release position.
  • the retaining projection has a further advantageous function.
  • the retaining projection is overcome. This can be achieved only in that the side rails in use position in the vertical direction slightly, that is raised by a few millimeters, that is moved upwards, and to the extent that the retaining projection releases the retaining element insofar as that a transfer of the same from the closed position in the release position is possible. In this way, a two-hand release is realized, which increases the security with the scope of the side rail according to the invention again.
  • "Two-hand unlocking" in the sense of the invention means that a proper unlocking of the side grille on the user side can be made only two-handed.
  • the abutment is formed as part of an end cap insertable into the guide rail of a support spar.
  • This embodiment proves to be structurally simple, which simplifies the production and any assembly or maintenance. It can be provided according to a further feature of the invention to equip the guide rails with a traversing stop, which makes it possible to exclude user-side operating error. In the position of use of the side rail, the sliders are positioned leaving a gap to the travel stop. The distance to the travel stop corresponds approximately to the vertical extent of the retaining projection, formed as a hook abutment or exceeds this in the height direction by a few millimeters, in order to compensate for any tolerances can.
  • the Veran stop on the user side serves to be able to move the side rail from the use position to stop up, which allows the user side in a simple manner to identify the position of the side grille in which a pivoting movement of the retaining element from the closed position to the release position is possible ,
  • a bed is further proposed that is equipped with a side rail of the type described above.
  • Fig. 1 can be seen in a schematic representation of a bed 1.
  • This has a bed frame 19, which has a foot 21 on the one hand and a head 20 on the other. Between the two Bedtkoruptern 20 and 21, the open longitudinal sides of the bed extend, wherein each open longitudinal side a side rail 2 is provided.

These are adjustable in height and can be transferred from a non-use position to a use position and vice versa. In the non-use position, the longitudinal beams 3 are moved to a lower position, the allowed an unhindered entry into bed. In the use position, however, the longitudinal bars 3 are moved to an upper position, which is created for a person lying in bed a fall protection.
  • the longitudinal struts 3 of the side grille 2 each have a bar 4, which carries a first end cap 5 at one end and a second cap 6 at the other end.
  • the caps 5 and 6 are each arranged longitudinally displaceable on the crossbar 4.
  • each cap 5 or 6 can accomplish a longitudinal displacement relative to the bar 4, preferably by a single stroke of 100 mm.
  • a total stroke of 200 mm is provided. To this total stroke of the longitudinal spar can be extended or shortened.
  • the large surfaces 7 of the crossbar 4 are equipped with a central groove 8.
  • This center groove 8 serves two purposes. On the one hand, it allows easier handling on the user side, since it can engage with the fingertips in the center groove.
  • the middle grooves 8 serve a rail-like guidance of the end of the bar 4 recorded caps 5 and 6, which have over the center grooves 8 correspondingly formed concavities 9, which engage positively in the assembled state in the center grooves 8, in particular the view Fig. 3 lets recognize.
