L'invention concerne un système d'injection de carburant d'un moteur à combustion interne, comprenant un réservoir (2) qui est relié à un espace intérieur (3) d'une pompe haute pression (5) par l'intermédiaire d'une pompe de pression préalable (1 ), ledit espace interne (3) étant relié à un espace de travail (9) de la pompe (5) par l'intermédiaire d'une unité de dosage (10); et ledit espace interne (3) étant en liaison hydraulique avec une conduite de débit de retour (7) par l'intermédiaire d'une soupape de trop-plein (16) qui présente un carter de soupape (17), un piston de soupape (18) et un ressort de soupape (19) disposé dans une chambre de ressorts (15). L'invention est caractérisée en ce que la chambre de ressorts (15) est reliée par l'intermédiaire d'un circuit d'étranglement à l'espace hydraulique qui est couplé par l'unité de dosage (10). L'invention propose un système d'injection de carburant dont la pression de remplissage d'un espace de travail (9) de la pompe (5) peut être réglée en fonction du débit d'injection. A cet effet, la chambre de ressorts (15) est reliée, par l'intermédiaire d'un circuit d'étranglement, à l'espace hydraulique qui est couplé par l'unité de dosage (10).
