Definitions
- the invention relates to a household extractor with a hood for catching haze, a chimney over the hood, a fan arranged in the chimney and a filter arrangement arranged in the chimney, wherein the filter arrangement has a plurality of filter plates.
- a fume hood of this type will be in EP 1 705 430 described. It has a hood open at the bottom to catch the mist rising from a cooking place. Above the hood a fireplace is arranged, in which a blower and a filter arrangement are provided.
- the filter assembly has a plurality of filter plates.
- the filter assembly thus has at least one set of at least four mutually spaced, mutually parallel, vertical filter plates at the same height. Between these filter plates at least one downwardly open input chamber and at least one upwardly open output chamber are formed. The sucked into the inlet chamber air passes through one of the filter plates, passes so in the output chamber and is continued from there to the blower.
- At least one chamber is formed, which is preferably also designed as an upwardly open output chamber.
- an input chamber is advantageously provided between the two output chambers. This has the advantage that air from the hob can also pass from the outside via vertical filter plates in the output chambers.
- each input chamber is horizontally adjacent to at least one output chamber on all sides. Even then, the entrance chamber is inside, so that air from the hob can also from the outside via vertical filter plates in the output chamber (s) can occur.
- At least two sets of parallel, vertical filter plates are provided.
- the filter plates of the two sets are arranged transversely to each other.
- at least nine chambers can be formed between the plates.
- the plates of the two sets are perpendicular to each other, so that rectangular or square chambers arise.
- they can in principle also be below 60 ° or 120 ° to each other to form triangular or hexagonal chambers.
- the directions “bottom” and “top” are defined by the direction of the air flow in the filter assembly as the air flow passes through the filter assembly from bottom to top. Accordingly, it follows that the hood is located below the chimney.
- a filter plate is arranged vertically when it is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the chimney, and horizontally when it is perpendicular thereto.
- Fig. 1 shows a fume hood with a downwardly open hood 1, above which a chimney 2 is arranged.
- a fan 3 is provided, and a filter assembly 4.
- the fan 3 promotes the air or the haze of the hood 1 through the filter assembly 4 and outputs it through an outlet opening 5 from.
- the extractor may be an open extractor which returns the air cleaned by the filter assembly 4 back to the room, or a closed extractor which discharges the cleaned air to an exhaust system via which it passes out of the room and e.g. is released to the outside.
- Fig. 2-6 show a first embodiment of the filter assembly 4. The structure will be described below.
- the filter assembly 4 has an upper and a lower portion 4a and 4b.
- the two sections have substantially the same outer diameter.
- the upper portion 4a forms a fan chamber 6 (FIG. Fig. 5, 6 ), in which the blower 3 is arranged.
- the lower portion 4b forms a filter area in which a majority of the air is filtered.
- each module 10, 11 is formed by four mutually perpendicular filter plates 8 and 9 and has a rectangular, preferably square cross-section.
- the modules are each formed from three or more than four filter plates and, for example, have a triangular or hexagonal cross-section.
- the first module 10 surrounds an input chamber 14 (see FIG. Fig. 4 ), which is open towards the bottom, ie toward the hood 1, and upwardly from a cover 15 (FIG. Fig. 5, 6 ) is completed.
- the lid 15 may be impermeable to air or designed as a filter.
- At least one output chamber 16 is formed ( Fig. 5 ). This is upwards, ie toward the fan 3, open, but closed down by a bottom 17.
- the bottom 17 may be impermeable to air or designed as a filter.
- the plates 8 and 9 spaced from the wall 18 of the chimney 2 are arranged so that forms a riser 19 for the vapor from the hood 1 between the wall 18 and the plates.
- the blower chamber 6 is arranged above the vertical filter plates 8, 9. At least one of the vertical outer walls of the fan chamber 6 is formed by a fan filter plate 20. This is spaced from the wall 19, so that the riser 19 continues along the outside of the fan filter plate 20 upwards.
- At least one further vertical outer wall of the fan chamber is formed by an air-impermeable wall section 22. This has the advantage that the outer wall can be made thinner in this area, so that more space for the fan 3 remains.
- the aspirated vapor as in Fig. 5 illustrated, from the hood in the input chamber 14, from where it can pass through the vertical filter plates 8 of the first module in the output chamber 16.
- the air rises up into the fan chamber 6 and thus to the blower 3.
- the air from the hood 1 also rises into the riser 19, from where they either enter the outlet chamber 16 from outside or directly into the blower chamber 6 can.
- a middle region 4 c is formed between the upper region 4 a and the lower region 4 b, which is formed by four intermediate-area filter plates 24. As a result, the fan chamber 6 can be increased.
- the filter plates 8, 9, 20, 24 preferably each consist of identical, preferably square filter elements 25.
- the filter plates 8 of the first module 10 each have one third of the filter surface of the filter plates 9 of the second module.
- the filter plates 9 can be constructed of three times more filter elements 25 than the filter plates 8 of the first module.
- the filter plates 8 of the first module 10 are each constructed of three filter elements 25 and the filter plates 9 of the second module 11 of nine.
- a frame 28 is provided from profiled bars.
- the frame 28 is fixed to the lid 29 of the chimney 2 and hangs in the chimney 2 down.
- the outer filter plates 9, 20 and 24, which adjoin the riser 19, are mounted directly in the frame 28.
- struts 30 (FIG. Fig. 4, 6 ), which extend from the lower edge of the first module to the lower edge of the second module and which are suspended there in the frame 28.
- Fig. 7 - 11 show a second embodiment of a fume hood, which differs from the first embodiment primarily in the arrangement and construction of the filter plates.
- the filter assembly 4 has upper and lower portions 4a and 4b, respectively, whose functions correspond to those of the first embodiment.
- a total of four sets of filter plates 9a-9d are in the lower portion, 9e - 9h, 9i - 91, 9m - 9p.
- Two of these sets are referred to as “upper sets” and comprise a first upper filter set 9a-9d and a second upper filter set 9e-9h.
- the remaining two sets are referred to as “lower sets” and include a first lower filter set 9i-91 and a second lower filter set 9m-9p.
- the filter plates of each set are arranged parallel to each other and preferably gleichabstieri. In the illustrated embodiment, four filter plates are available per set.
- the filter plates are all arranged at the same height.
- the filter plates of the two sets 9a - 9d and 9e - 9h are perpendicular to each other in the embodiment shown and intersect, so that they form a total of nine rectangular chamber sections in their interstices.
- the filter plates 9a-9d have respective recesses 32 extending vertically inwardly (i.e., below) from their upper edges, while the filter plates 9e-9h have recesses 32 extending vertically inwardly (i.e., above) from their lower edges, respectively.
- the width of the recesses 32 is in each case dimensioned such that it corresponds substantially to the thickness of the filter plates, so that the filter plates of the two sets can be inserted into one another such that they intersect in the region of the recesses.
- the two lower filter sets 9i - 9p are constructed in the same way.
- an upper aperture 33 is provided, which has openings 34 in the region of the outlet chambers 16, while it is closed in the region of the inlet chambers 14.
- a lower aperture 35 is provided, which has openings 36 in the region of the inlet chambers 14, while it is closed in the region of the outlet chambers 16.
- All filter plates 9a - 9p are constructed identically and interchangeable. In addition to the recesses 32 already mentioned, they each have mutually interlocking graduations 38 on their vertical side edges (FIG. Fig. 11 ).
- the upper portion 4a is basically constructed like that of the first embodiment. Again, the fan room 6 is enclosed by three vertical sides of fan room filter plates 20, while an outer wall of the fan room is formed by an air-impermeable wall portion 22.
- the air flow in the second embodiment is similar to the first embodiment, in that the air passes through the inlet chambers 14 or the riser chambers 19 into the outlet chambers 16, or passes directly into the fan chamber 6 via the fan filter plates 20.
- guide means are mounted in the region of the vertical edges of the filter arrangement.
- rods 40 which are attached to the lid 29 of the chimney 2 and hang down.
- securing means are provided, for example in the form of nuts 42 (FIG. Fig. 9 ), which are bolted to the rods 40.
- rods 40 can be used as a guide, for example, edge profiles 43, as in Fig. 8 dashed lines are shown, which are fastened in the corners of the chimney 1.
- the filter plates or their filter elements preferably comprise two spaced, air-permeable cover layers, between which the actual filter material, in particular of activated carbon, is arranged.
- the lower section 4b of the filter arrangement can be adapted to the respective requirements, or it can be offered based on the same design filter arrangements with different configuration levels.
- a simpler arrangement may be provided which has a smaller filter area.
- the lower two sets of filter plates may be of the type Fig. 7 - 11 also omitted, and the lower panel 35 is mounted adjacent to the upper sets of filter plates, so that the input and output chambers have only half the height.
- the extractor can be delivered without the lower section 4b. In this case, the underside of the fan chamber 6 is replaced by a horizontally arranged filter plate or closure plate.
- the household extractor has a filter assembly which has at least one set of four spaced, mutually parallel, vertical filter plates 9a - 9p at the same height. At least one downwardly open input chamber 14 and at least one upwardly open output chamber 16 are formed between the filter plates 9a-9p. As a result, the available filter area is increased in a compact design.
- the number of parallel filter plates can also be higher than four, e.g. six or eight, which increases the number of input and output chambers accordingly.

It has as its object to provide a household extractor of this type, which has an improved filtering effect. This object is achieved by the extractor hood according to claim 1.
Accordingly, the filter assembly thus has at least one set of at least four mutually spaced, mutually parallel, vertical filter plates at the same height. Between these filter plates at least one downwardly open input chamber and at least one upwardly open output chamber are formed. The sucked into the inlet chamber air passes through one of the filter plates, passes so in the output chamber and is continued from there to the blower.
In addition, between the mentioned at least four vertical filter plates still at least one chamber is formed, which is preferably also designed as an upwardly open output chamber. In this case, an input chamber is advantageously provided between the two output chambers. This has the advantage that air from the hob can also pass from the outside via vertical filter plates in the output chambers.
Due to the same consideration, it is also advantageous if each input chamber is horizontally adjacent to at least one output chamber on all sides. Even then, the entrance chamber is inside, so that air from the hob can also from the outside via vertical filter plates in the output chamber (s) can occur.
According to the claim, at least two sets of parallel, vertical filter plates are provided. The filter plates of the two sets are arranged transversely to each other. In this way, at least nine chambers can be formed between the plates. Preferably, the plates of the two sets are perpendicular to each other, so that rectangular or square chambers arise. However, they can in principle also be below 60 ° or 120 ° to each other to form triangular or hexagonal chambers.
