Abstract
II s'agit en particulier d'un réservoir d'agent réducteur à base d'urée, avec élément chauffant électrique intégré, utilisable sur un véhicule automobile à moteur thermique à des fins de dépollution. L'élément chauffant (10) prévu pour dégeler l'agent réducteur (6) est placé à l'intérieur d'une cavité (16) délimitée par un bol (13), lui-même placé à l'intérieur du réservoir (1 ). La cavité (16) du bol (13) communique avec le volume intérieur (5) du réservoir par un clapet (20). Un tuyau d'aspiration (12) de l'agent réducteur plonge dans la cavité (16) du bol (13), le point de départ (18) de ce tuyau étant situé à proximité de l'élément chauffant (10). Le fonctionnement est ainsi garanti lorsque le véhicule se trouve en condition de dévers ou de pente, et aussi en cas de gel.
Description
Réservoir de fluide avec bol de réserve chauffant
La présente invention concerne un réservoir de fluide, et plus particulièrement un réservoir adapté pour un fluide susceptible de geler ou dont la viscosité varie très fortement en fonction de la température, le réservoir étant équipé à cet effet d'un élément chauffant électrique intégré, apte à dégeler au moins partiellement le fluide contenu dans le réservoir. Cette invention est applicable, entre autres, à un réservoir d'agent réducteur, en particulier d'agent réducteur à base d'urée, utilisable sur un véhicule à moteur thermique à des fins de dépollution. Plus particulièrement encore, l'invention se rapporte à un tel réservoir qui est pourvu d'un bol de réserve chauffant, dans lequel est puisé le fluide tel qu'agent réducteur, contenu dans le réservoir et à prélever pour son utilisation.
Pour des raisons de respect des normes de pollution, les véhicules automobiles doivent comporter des dispositifs annexes de dépollution qui sont de plus en plus complexes, la chimie de la dépollution nécessitant soit des catalyseurs, soit des agents oxydants ou réducteurs qui sont ajoutés, en particulier dans la ligne d'échappement, pour dépolluer.
En matière de dépollution des véhicules automobiles à moteur diesel, les normes obligent les constructeurs à équiper les systèmes d'échappement d'un pot catalytique, prévu pour réduire les oxydes d'azote par le biais de l'ammoniaque. Cependant, l'ammoniaque étant un produit toxique, la dépollution est faite par utilisation de l'urée, dissoute dans l'eau dans la proportion de 33 % par exemple, qui est transformée en ammoniaque par thermo-hydrolyse dans le système d'échappement, seulement au moment de son utilisation. Ce processus est communément nommé « SCR » (Sélective Catalytic Réduction).
Le dosage de l'urée doit être ajusté aux besoins créés par les émissions d'oxydes d'azote, générées par le moteur. A cet effet, l'urée est stockée dans un réservoir, mise sous pression par une pompe et distribuée par un injecteur électromagnétique, la pompe et l'injecteur dosant la quantité d'urée prélevée du réservoir et envoyée dans la ligne d'échappement, en liaison avec le fonctionnement du moteur donc avec les émissions d'oxydes d'azote transitant par la ligne d'échappement.
Dans ce type d'installation de dépollution, il est impératif de prévoir des moyens de réchauffage, pour résoudre les problèmes de gel de l'urée ou
autre agent réducteur, problèmes qu i peuvent apparaître dès que la température se situe au-dessous de - 1 1 ° C pour certains agents réducteurs, ou des températures plus basses pour d'autres agents réducteurs.
Diverses solutions ont été déjà proposées pour réchauffer l'agent réducteur, afin de pouvoir le prélever et le distribuer quelles que soient les conditions de température. Un premier type de solutions consiste à réaliser un réservoir d'agent réducteur pourvu d'un élément chauffant électrique intégré, apte à dégeler au moins partiellement l'agent réducteur.
Parm i les solutions existantes, l'une consiste en un élément chauffant utilisant des thermistances de puissance à coefficient de température positif (CTP), surmoulées et placées dans le fond du réservoir -voir la demande de brevet allemand DE 10 2005 036 430 A1 . Une autre solution, décrite dans la demande de brevet français FR 2 918 968 A1 , prévoit un élément chauffant sous la forme de pistes résistives apposées sur un film souple ou entre deux films souples, placés à l'intérieur du réservoir et reposant en particulier sur le fond du réservoir.
Une autre exigence à prendre en compte est de conserver un fonctionnement du système de puisage dans des conditions de dévers et de pente, même avec un réservoir presque vide, sans désamorcer ce système.
Parm i les solutions existantes, on connaît en particulier celle décrite dans la demande de brevet français FR 2 890 341 A1 , où une pompe annexe remplit un bac de réserve dans lequel la pompe principale vient puiser le fluide. Le bac de réserve peut être monté à l'intérieur du réservoir, en particulier dans le volume défini par la paroi d'un bac de rétention formé au fond du réservoir.
Toutes ces solutions restent relativement complexes et coûteuses, et ne garantissent pas nécessairement un fonctionnement lorsque le niveau d'agent réducteur est faible et que le véhicule se trouve en condition de dévers ou de pente.
La présente invention a pour but d'apporter une solution simple aux problèmes exposés ci-dessus.
A cet effet, l'invention a pour objet un réservoir de fluide, par exemple un réservoir d'agent réducteur, en particulier d'agent à base d'urée, utilisable sur un véhicule automobile à moteur thermique à des fins de dépollution, le réservoir étant équipé d'un élément chauffant électrique intégré, apte à dégeler au moins partiellement le fluide tel qu'agent réducteur contenu
dans le réservoir, ce réservoir étant caractérisé par le fait que l'élément chauffant est placé à l'intérieur d'une cavité délimitée par un bol, lui-même placé à l'intérieur du réservoir, ladite cavité communiquant avec le volume intérieur du réservoir par au moins un clapet, tandis qu'un tuyau d'aspiration du fluide tel qu'agent réducteur plonge dans la cavité délimitée par le bol, le point de départ du tuyau d'aspiration étant situé à proximité de l'élément chauffant.
Avantageusement, l'élément chauffant électrique est placé au fond du bol . Le clapet est par exemple un clapet à membrane, ce clapet étant, lui aussi, placé de manière avantageuse au fond du bol.
Ce bol est réalisable en acier inoxydable, pour des raisons de compatibilité avec les agents réducteurs habituellement utilisés.
Dans un mode de réalisation, en plus du tuyau d'aspiration de l'agent réducteur, il est aussi prévu un tube plongeant dans la cavité délimitée par le bol et achem inant des conducteurs électriques d'alimentation de l'élément chauffant.
Le tuyau d'aspiration du fluide tel qu'agent réducteur, et le tube d'acheminement des conducteurs électriques d'alimentation de l'élément chauffant, sont eux aussi réalisés avantageusement en acier inoxydable, pour les mêmes raisons que le bol lui-même.
Ainsi, l'invention propose une solution simple, avec utilisation d'un bol de réserve du fluide tel qu'agent réducteur, ne nécessitant pas de pompe annexe tout en garantissant un fonctionnement convenable même en condition de dévers ou de pente, et en permettant aussi un fonctionnement à basse température grâce à l'élément chauffant, judicieusement disposé à l'intérieur de la cavité dél imitée par le bol . On notera qu'un capteur de température, à fonction d'asservissement du réchauffage et de protection thermique, peut être associé à l'élément chauffant, ce capteur de température étant donc lui aussi situé dans la région du fond du bol. La combinaison du bol et de l'élément chauffant offre l'avantage que le flu ide dégelé est confiné dans la zone d'utilisation prioritaire, là où ce fluide est aspiré, de sorte que seule la quantité strictement nécessaire de fluide est dégelée, pour un fonctionnement économique, rapide et parfaitement contrôlable.
L'invention sera mieux comprise à l'aide de la description qui suit, en référence au dessin schématique annexé représentant, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de ce réservoir de fluide avec bol de réserve chauffant.
Figure 1 est une vue en coupe verticale d'un réservoir d'agent réducteur avec bol de réserve chauffant conforme à la présente invention,
Figure 2 représente à échelle agrandie, en coupe verticale, le détail du bol avec l'élément chauffant,
Figures 3 et 4 sont des vues similaires à la figure 2, illustrant le remplissage du bol et le fonctionnement du clapet,
Figures 5 et 6 sont des vues en coupe verticale du réservoir, illustrant son fonctionnement en cas de gel de l'agent réducteur,
Figure 7 illustre le fonctionnement du réservoir et en particulier de son bol, en condition de dévers ou de pente.
Sur le dessin , la référence 1 désigne, dans son ensemble, un réservoir d'agent réducteur, lequel comprend une paroi inférieure 2, une paroi supérieure 3 et une paroi latérale 4, qui délimitent un volume intérieur 5 de ce réservoir 1 .
Le réservoir 1 contient, en utilisation, une certaine quantité d'agent réducteur 6, dont le niveau est indiqué en 7. Un orifice de remplissage 8, placé sur la paroi supérieure 3 et normalement obturé par un bouchon 9, permet d'introduire l'agent réducteur 6 dans le réservoir 1 .
Dans sa partie inférieure, le réservoir 1 est équipé d'un élément chauffant 10 de type électrique, alimenté par des conducteurs électriques 1 1 . L'élément chauffant 10 est prévu pour dégeler au moins partiellement l'agent réducteur 6 afin de permettre son prélèvement par un tuyau d'aspiration 12, même aux basses températures. Le tuyau d'aspiration 12 est dirigé vers une pompe (non représentée) au moyen de laquelle l'agent réducteur 6 est puisé dans le réservoir 1 et envoyé vers u n injecteur, lequel distribue cet agent réducteur dans la ligne d'échappement du véhicule concerné.
Le réservoir 1 est équipé d'un bol 13 placé dans son volume intérieur 5. Le bol 13 possède un fond 14 et une paroi latérale 1 5, qui délimitent une cavité 1 6, ce fond 14 du bol 1 3 se situant à une faible hauteur au-dessus de la paroi inférieure 2 du réservoir 1 . Le bol 13 est maintenu dans la région centrale du volume intérieur 5 du réservoir 1 par des moyens de fixation, non représentés. L'élément chauffant 10 est placé au fond 14 du bol 13, un capteur de température 17 étant associé à cet élément chauffant 1 0, avec une double fonction d'asservissement du réchauffage et de protection thermique.
Le tuyau d'aspiration 12 de l'agent réducteur 6 plonge dans la cavité 16 du bol 13, le point de départ 18 de ce tuyau d'aspiration 12 étant situé à proximité de l'élément chauffant 10.
Un tube 19 plonge également dans la cavité 16 du bol 13, parallèlement au tuyau d'aspiration 12. Le tube 19 sert à l'acheminement des conducteurs électriques 1 1 qui alimentent l'élément chauffant 10.
Dans le fond 14 du bol 13 est placé un clapet 20, en particulier réalisé sous la forme d'un clapet à membrane, apte à créer ou à interrompre une communication entre la cavité 1 6 du bol 1 3, d'u ne part, et le volume intérieur 5 du réservoir 1 , d'autre part.
L'agent réducteur 6 étant à base d'urée, le bol 13 est réalisable en acier inoxydable pour des raisons de compatibilité avec cet agent réducteur. De m êm e , l e tuya u d 'asp i ration 1 2 et l e tu be 1 9 d'acheminement des conducteurs électriques sont réalisables en acier inoxydable. D'autres matières compatibles avec l'agent réducteur, et assurant un bon transfert thermique, sont aussi envisageables ici.
En se référant plus particul ièrement aux figures 3 à 6, on décrira maintenant le fonctionnement du réservoir 1 , dans diverses conditions.
Les figures 3 et 4 illustrent le fonctionnement en puisage de l'agent réducteur 6, lorsque celui-ci n'est pas gelé. Si à un instant donné le niveau 21 de l'agent réducteur dans la cavité 16 du bol 13 est situé plus bas que le niveau 7 de cet agent réducteur dans le reste du réservoir 1 , le clapet 20 se soulève sous l'effet de la pression hydrostatique, et de l'agent réducteur 6 pénètre ainsi dans la cavité 16 du bol 13, comme indiqué par des flèches F sur la figure 3, jusqu'à égalisation des niveaux 21 et 7 entre l'intérieur et l'extérieur du bol 13 ; le clapet 20 se referme alors (voir figure 4).
Les figures 5 et 6 illustrent le fonctionnement du réservoir 1 en cas de g el d e l'agent réducteur 6, donc à basse température. Au départ, on suppose que l'agent réducteur 6 est complètement gelé.
L'élément chauffant 1 0 est alors alimenté par les conducteurs électriques 1 1 et il provoque ainsi un dégel partiel de l'agent réducteur 6, à l'intérieur du bol 13 et aussi tout autour de ce bol 13. Sur la figure 5, le volume d'agent réducteur dégelé est indiqué en 22.
Lorsque de l'agent réducteur doit être puisé par le tuyau d'aspiration 1 0, c'est d'abord l'agent réducteu r dégelé 22 se trouvant à l'intérieur du bol 13 qui est aspiré. Le niveau d'agent réducteur dégelé 22 va
alors s'abaisseur progressivement dans le bol 13. Le long du tuyau d'aspiration 10 chauffé par conduction thermique se crée une couche cylindrique 23 d'agent réducteur dégelé, permettant ainsi à l'air extérieur d'entrer dans le bol 13 et de remplir la cavité 24 résultant du pompage de l'agent réducteur.
L'aspiration de l'agent réducteur dégelé 22 se poursuivant, le clapet
20 permet l'admission de l'agent réducteur dégelé se trouvant à l'extérieur du bol 13 (selon le fonctionnement décrit plus haut avec référence aux figures 3 et 4), ce qui prolonge la durée de fonctionnement du système de puisage, avant que le système se désamorce.
Enfin, la figure 7 illustre le fonctionnement lorsque le véhicule donc le réservoir 1 est en condition de dévers ou de pente, et que le niveau 7 de l'agent réducteur 6 dans le réservoir 1 est bas, à savoir inférieur à la hauteur du bol 13. Grâce au clapet 20, l'agent réducteur 6 est maintenu dans le bol 13, ce qui prolonge la durée de fonctionnement du système de puisage dans une telle condition.
On ne s'éloignerait pas du cadre de l'invention, telle que définie dans les revendications annexées :
- en modifiant la forme du bol,
- en réalisant le bol, ainsi que le tuyau d'aspiration et le tube d'acheminement des conducteurs électriques, en toute matière compatible avec la nature de l'agent réducteur,
- en éq u i pa nt l e bol d ' u n él ément chauffant de tout type : thermistance de type CTP, résistance céramique,
- en ayant recours à tous moyens équivalents, par exemple en remplaçant le tube d'acheminement des conducteurs électriques par un câble électrique,
- en ajoutant tous accessoires, par exemple en prévoyant une crépine d'aspiration située en amont du tuyau d'aspiration et placée dans le bol,
- en fixant le bol dans le réservoir par tout moyen,
- en destinant l'invention à des réservoirs de toutes formes, pouvant contenir un agent réducteur de toute nature, ou un autre fluide susceptible de geler ou dont la viscosité varie très fortement en fonction de la température, par exemple un réservoir de liquide lave-glace de véhicule automobile.
Claims
1. Réservoir de fluide, par exemple réservoir d'agent réducteur, en particulier d'agent à base d'urée, utilisable sur un véhicule automobile à moteur thermique à des fins de dépollution, le réservoir (1) étant équipé d'un élément chauffant électrique (10) intégré, apte à dégeler au moins partiellement le fluide tel qu'agent réducteur (6) contenu dans le réservoir (1), caractérisé en ce que l'élément chauffant (10) est placé à l'intérieur d'une cavité (16) délimitée par un bol (13), lui-même placé à l'intérieur du réservoir (1), ladite cavité (16) communiquant avec le volume intérieur (5) du réservoir (1) par au moins un clapet (20), tandis qu'un tuyau d'aspiration (12) du fluide tel qu'agent réducteur (6) plonge dans la cavité (16) délimitée par le bol (13), le point de départ (18) du tuyau d'aspiration (12) étant situé à proximité de l'élément chauffant (10).
2. Réservoir de fluide selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'élément chauffant (10) est placé au fond (14) du bol (13).
3. Réservoir de fluide selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce qu'un capteur de température (17), à fonction d'asservissement du réchauffage et de protection thermique, est associé à l'élément chauffant (10), ce capteur de température étant lui aussi situé dans la région du fond (14) du bol (13).
4. Réservoir de fluide selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que le clapet (20) est un clapet à membrane.
5. Réservoir de fluide selon l'une des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que le clapet (20) est placé au fond (14) du bol (13).
6. Réservoir de fluide selon l'une des revendications 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce qu'est prévu un tube (19) plongeant dans la cavité (16) délimitée par le bol (13) et acheminant des conducteurs électriques d'alimentation (11 ) de l'élément chauffant (10).
7. Réservoir de fluide selon l'une des revendications 1 à 6, caractérisé en ce que le bol (13) est réalisé en acier inoxydable.
8. Réservoir de fluide selon l'ensemble des revendications 6 et 7, caractérisé en ce que le tuyau d'aspiration (12) du fluide tel qu'agent réducteur (6) et le tube (19) d'acheminement des conducteurs électriques d'alimentation (1 1 ) de l'élément chauffant (10) sont réalisés en acier inoxydable.
