Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft einen Brenner für einen Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel nach dem Oberbegriff des Patentanspruches 1 und einen Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel mit einem Brenner gemäß Anspruch 9.
  • Für die Verbrennung von stückigen Biomasse-Brennstoffen, wie z.B. Holzpellets, sind eine Reihe verschiedener Verfahren bekannt. Die für die Durchführung der Verbrennung verwendeten Brenner haben dabei üblicherweise einen Brennteller, auf dem das zu verbrennende Material aufgebracht wird und auf dem unter Zufuhr der primären Verbrennungsluft die Vergasung des Brennmaterials stattfindet. Die Brennstoffzufuhr erfolgt dabei entweder nach dem Unterschubverfahren, nach dem Seiteneinschubverfahren oder nach dem Abwurfverfahren (Pellets fallen aus einer Pelletzuführvorrichtung von oben auf den Brennteller).
  • Bei einer Brennstoffzufuhr nach dem Abwurfverfahren ist der Brennteller üblicherweise als Rost ausgeführt, durch den die Asche nach unten in einen Aschebehälter fallen kann. Problematisch ist dabei allerdings, dass die noch auf dem Brennteller befindliche Asche durch herabfallenden, frischen Brennstoff aufgewirbelt werden kann. Es kommt daher zu nicht unerheblichem Ascheaustrag und Staubemission mit der Verbrennungsluft.
  • Ein weiteres Problem ist die Vermischung von frisch nachfallenden Holzpellets mit bereits durch Ausbrand entstandener Holzkohle auf dem Brennteller. Auch diese kann zu problematischer Partikelemission aus dem Glutbett führen.
  • Die US 7318431 B1 offenbart einen Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel mit einem Brenntopf mit zwei übereinander angeordneten Brennkammem und einer darunter angeordneten Ascheschublade. Zwischen oberer und unterer Brennkammer sowie zwischen unterer Brennkammer und Ascheschublade befinden sich bewegliche Schieber. Ein öffnen eines Schiebers bewirkt, dass der Brennstoff von oben nach unten herunterfällt.
  • Die US 2010/0037806 A1 offenbart eine Festbrennstoff-Brennkammer mit einem Feuerrost zum Halten von Brennstoffpellets. Bei der Verbrennung brechen die Pellets auseinander und fallen durch den Feuerrost auf ein darunter liegendes Netz. Nach vollständigem Ausbrand fällt die Asche in einen Sammelbereich unter dem Netz.
  • Der Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, diese und weitere aus dem Stand der Technik bekannten Nachteile zu überwinden und einen verbesserten Brenner für einen Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel bereitzustellen. Dabei soll insbesondere bei einem Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel, der eine Brennstoffzuführung nach dem Abwurfprinzip hat, die Partikelemission aus dem Glutbett soweit wie möglich reduziert oder verhindert werden.
  • Erfindungsgemäß wird dies mit den Merkmalen des Patentanspruches 1 gelöst. Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen sind den Unteransprüchen zu entnehmen.
  • Bei einem Brenner für einen Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel mit einer Brennstoffzuführung nach dem Abwurfprinzip mit wenigstens einer Primärluftzuführung, wobei der Brenner eine Brenntellervorrichtung mit mindestens zwei übereinander angeordneten Brennerrosten aufweist, wobei ein oberer Brennerrost einen Auffangbereich zum Auffangen von zugeführtem, zu verbrennendem Brennstoff aufweist und ein unterer Brennerrost einen Glutbereich zum Halten von zerfallendem, glühendem Brennstoff aufweist, sieht die Erfindung vor, dass der obere Brennerrost (20) kegel- oder pyramidenförmige Elemente (22) aufweist, wobei die kegel- oder pyramidenförmigen Elemente (22) den Auffangbereich (25) bilden und zwischen sich eine offene Spaltstruktur ausbilden.
  • Die Brenntellervorrichtung weist mindestens zwei übereinander angeordnete Brennerroste auf. Herab fallender frischer Brennstoff trifft auf diese Weise zunächst auf den oberen Brennerrost, der zweckmäßig einen Auffangbereich zum Auffangen von zugeführtem, zu verbrennendem Brennstoff aufweist. Handelt es sich um Holzpellets, so verbrennen die frischen Pellets im Auffangbereich zu Holzkohle und/oder zerfallen die frischen, ganzen Pellets in kleinere Pelletstücke. Diese Holzkohle oder Pelletstücke fallen dann erst durch den oberen Brennerrost hindurch auf den unteren Brennerrost. Dort können sie im Glutbereich, der zum Halten von zerfallendem, glühendem Brennstoff dient, ausglühen, bevor sie als Asche auch durch den unteren Brennerrost fallen - beispielsweise in einen Ascheauffangbehälter. Auf diese Weise wird die schnell ablaufende Vergasung von leichtflüchtigen Bestandteilen frisch zugeführter Holzpellets von der langsameren Vergasung der entsprechenden Holzkohle getrennt.
  • Erfindungsgemäß ist es von Vorteil wenn der obere Brennerrost kegel- oder pyramidenförmige Elemente (Auffangkörper) aufweist und wenn die kegel- oder pyramidenförmigen Elemente den Auffangbereich bilden. Dabei sind die kegel- oder pyramidenförmigen Elemente so angeordnet, dass die Basis (Grundfläche) in Richtung des unteren Brennerrostes (nach unten) weist und die Kegel- bzw. Pyramidenspitze in Richtung des herab fallenden Brennstoffes (nach oben). Der Auffangbereich wird auf diese Weise durch die trichterähnlichen Zwischenräume ausgebildet, die zwischen den kegel- oder pyramidenförmigen Elementen vorhanden sind. Der herabfallende frische Brennstoff fällt dabei im Bereich der Kegel- bzw. Pyramidenspitzen in die weite, nach oben weisende Trichteröffnung und rutscht, während er beim Verbrennen in kleinere Stücke zerfällt, entlang der Kegel- bzw. Pyramidenseitenflächen langsam nach unten zur Kegel- bzw. Pyramidenbasis. Sind die Abmessungen des Brennstoffs schließlich kleiner als die lichte Weite der Spalte zwischen den Kegel- bzw. Pyramidengrundflächen, so fällt der Brennstoff durch die Spalte des oberen Rostes hindurch auf den unteren Rost.
  • Zwischen den einzelnen Kegel- bzw. Pyramidenbasen sind Spalte (Abstände) ausgebildet, durch die die zu Holzkohle verbrannten Pellets dann hindurch und herunter auf den unteren Brennrost fallen können. Erst dort treffen sie auf das eigentliche Glutbett und die darin enthaltene Asche. Diese wird jedoch nur wenig aufgewirbelt, da zum einen der Fallweg und die Größe der herab fallenden Brennstoffteile nicht so groß sind, wie bei einem direkten Abwurf. Zum anderen wirken nun auch die Kegel- bzw. Pyramidenbasen, die über dem unteren Brennerrost angeordnet sind, als Abschirmung. Selbst wenn daher im Glutbett befindliche Partikel durch den Aufprall von herab fallenden Brennstoffstücken aufgewirbelt werden, so werden sie doch durch die als Abschirmung wirkenden kegel- bzw. pyramidenförmigen Elemente weitgehend daran gehindert, mit der Verbrennungsluft aus dem Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel nach außen getragen zu werden.
  • Eine vorteilhafte Ausbildung des Brenners ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die beiden Brennerroste Rostebenen mit Durchtrittsöffnungen in Form von Löchern und/oder Spalten aufweisen, wobei die lichte Weite der Durchtrittsöffnungen des oberen Brennerrostes größer ist als die lichte Weite der Durchtrittsöffnungen des unteren Brennerrostes. Dadurch ist gewährleistet, dass die frisch zugeführten größeren, ganzen Pellets so lange auf dem oberen Rost liegen bleiben, bis sie in kleinere Stücke zerfallen sind. Diese kleineren Stücke können durch die Durchtrittsöffnungen des oberen Rostes hindurchfallen und bleiben auf dem unteren Rost liegen. Die kleineren Stücke sowie kleinere Holzkohle- und Aschepartikel können durch nachfallende, frisch zugeführte Pellets nicht aufgewirbelt und mit dem Abgas aus einem entsprechenden Heizkessel ausgetragen werden.
  • Der untere Brennerrost kann ein Gitter, ein Lochblech und/oder eine regelmäßige ein- oder zweidimensionale Anordnung von Körpern, die zwischen sich eine offene Spaltstruktur ausbilden, umfassen. Das Gitter oder das Lochblech weisen beispielsweise runde, eckige oder schlitzförmige Durchbrüche (Löcher) auf, durch die die kleineren und ganz kleinen Holzkohle- und Ascheteile nach unten fallen und die Verbrennungsgase und Verbrennungsluft nach oben aufsteigen können. Eine andere mögliche Roststruktur wird durch nebeneinander, zweidimensional in einer Ebene angeordnete Auflagekörper mit zum Beispiel quadratischem oder rundem Querschnitt gebildet, wobei die Auffangkörper zwischen sich Spalte offen lassen, durch die wiederum Holzkohle- und Ascheteile nach unten fallen sowie Gase und Luft nach oben aufsteigen können. Eine eindimensionale Anordnung von Auffangelementen ist beispielsweise durch eine reihenartige Aufeinanderfolge in nur einer Längenrichtung von schmalen Lamellen oder Stegen gegeben. Eine zweidimensionale Anordnung von Auffangelementen ist dagegen beispielsweise durch eine reihen- und spaltenartige Aufeinanderfolge in einer Längen- und Breitenrichtung von im Querschnitt quadratischen oder kreisförmigen Körpern gegeben. Zwischen den Lamellen, Stegen, quadratischen oder kreisförmigen Körpern bilden sich Spalte als Durchtrittsöffnungen.
  • Ein weiterer Vorteil der Erfindung liegt darin, dass die Brenntellervorrichtung Luftzuführelemente zum Zuführen von Luft zum oberen Brennerrost und zum unteren Brennerrost aufweist. Dabei handelt es sich beispielsweise um vertikale Rohre, die an ihrem unteren Ende mit der Luftzuführung verbunden sind und an ihrem oberen Ende die kegel- oder pyramidenförmigen Elemente tragen. Vorzugsweise sind die Luftzuführelemente so ausgebildet, dass sie einen Zuführkanal und wenigstens eine Luftsaustrittsöffnung aufweisen. Letztere sind dabei bevorzugt seitlich angeordnet. Das verhindert, dass herab fallende Brennstoffteile in die Luftaustrittsöffnungen fallen können. Zudem strömt die einzubringende Luft dadurch horizontal ein und es entsteht eine homogene Luftverteilung.
  • Die Luftzuführelemente, die die kegel- oder pyramidenförmigen Elemente tragen, ragen zweckmäßigerweise von unten durch den unteren Brennerrost hindurch. Zur optimalen Luftversorgung sowohl der im Auffangbereich des oberen Brennerrosts als auch der im Glutbett des unteren Brennerrosts stattfindenden Verbrennung ist es dabei sinnvoll, wenn wenigstens eine Luftaustrittsöffnung stromaufwärts des zugeordneten Brennerrostes angeordnet ist. Dabei können in einem Zuführkanal auch sowohl Luftaustrittsöffnungen für den oberen Brennerrost als auch Luftaustrittsöffnungen für den unteren Brennerrost vorhanden sein.
  • Man erkennt weiter, dass es sinnvoll ist, wenn der Brenner eine Ascheauffangvorrichtung aufweist, die unterhalb des unteren Brennerrostes angeordnet ist.
  • Bei einem Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel mit einem erfindungsgemäßen Brenner sieht die Erfindung außerdem vor, dass die Brenntellervorrichtung im Bereich des Bodens einer Primärbrennkammer angeordnet ist und dass die Brennstoffzuführung oberhalb der Brenntellervorrichtung in die Primärbrennkammer mündet.
  • Die nachfolgend beschriebenen Zeichnungen stellen ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung da. Dabei zeigen:

    einen Längsschnitt durch einen Ausschnitt aus einer erfindungsgemäßen Brenntellervorrichtung;
    Fig. 2
    eine Schnittansicht eines Biomasse-Brennstoffkessels mit einer Brenntellervorrichtung entsprechend Fig. 1;
    Fig. 3
    eine Aufsicht auf eine erfindungsgemäße Brenntellervorrichtung.
  • Der in Fig. 1 dargestellte Ausschnitt einer erfindungsgemäßen Brenntellervorrichtung 10 zeigt einen Teil eines oberen Brennerrostes 20 und einen darunter angeordneten unteren Brennerrost 30. Der obere Brennerrost 20 besteht aus einer Anordnung von Rostelementen 21. Diese umfassen jeweils ein kegel- oder pyramidenförmiges Element 22 und ein Luftzuführelement 23. Man erkennt, dass das kegel- oder pyramidenförmige Element 22 den zwischen dem oberen Brennerrost 20 und dem unteren Brennerrost 30 ausgebildeten Zwischenraum wie ein Hütchen gegenüber von oben herabfallendem Brennmaterial abschirmt.
  • In dem Luftzuführelement 23 ist ein Zuführkanal 231 ausgebildet. Aus dem Zuführkanal 231 kann die in einer vertikalen Richtung V anströmende Zuführluft Lz durch seitlich ausgebildete Luftaustrittsöffnungen 232 in einer horizontalen Richtung H als Primärluftstrom LP austreten. Dabei hat der Zuführkanal 231 in dem gezeigten Beispiel zwei Luftaustrittsöffnungen 232, von denen eine stromaufwärts des oberen Brennerrosts 20 und die andere stromaufwärts des unteren Brennerrostes 30 ausgebildet ist.
  • Der untere Brennerrost 30 hat die Form eines Gitters mit Längs- und Querstreben (oder eines Lochblechs), das zum Halten des zerfallenen, glühenden Brennstoffs, also des Glutbereichs 31 dient, und mit zwischen den Streben ausgebildeten Lücken 32, durch die die Asche nach unten fallen kann.
  • In Fig. 2 erkennt man, wie ein Brenner mit einer Brenntellervorrichtung 10 in einen Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel 100 eingebaut ist. Der Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel 100 hat im dargestellten Beispiel eine Primärbrennkammer 110 und eine Sekundärbrennkammer 120. Zwischen der Primär- und der Sekundärbrennkammer 110, 120 ist eine Blende 170 mit einer Blendenöffnung 171 ausgebildet. Im Boden 113 der Primärbrennkammer 110 ist eine Öffnung 111 ausgebildet, in welcher die Brenntellervorrichtung 10 angeordnet ist. Oberhalb der Öffnung 111 befindet sich die Mündung 132 einer Zuführkanals 131 der Brennstoffzuführung 130, durch welche das Brennmaterial auf die Brenntellervorrichtung 110 abgeworfen wird.
  • Man erkennt auch hier, dass die Brenntellervorrichtung 10 aus einem oberen Brennerrost 20 und einem unteren Brennerrost 30 besteht, wie in Bezug auf Fig. 1 bereits oben ausführlich dargestellt. Von dem oberen Brennerrost 20 sind in dieser Ansicht drei Lufzuführelemente 23 mit je einem kegel- oder pyramidenförmigen Element 22 abgebildet, die den Auffangbereich für die frisch zugeführten, herabfallenden Pellets bilden. Zwischen den Elementen 22 bilden sich die Spalte 24 oder Durchtrittsöffnungen 24 aus.
  • Unterhalb der Brenntellervorrichtung 10 ist eine Ascheauffangvorrichtung 40 angeordnet. In der Ascheauffangvorrichtung 40 befindet sich eine auch als Windbox bezeichnete Luftkammer 142. Von der Luftkammer 142 aus führen die Zuführkanäle 231 die Zuströmluft LZ durch die Luftzuführelemente 23 zu den Brennrosten 20, 30. Die Luftkammer 142 dient dabei einer homogenen Luftverteilung in Bezug auf alle von der Luftkammer 142 abführenden Zuführkanäle 231.
  • Die Luftkammer 142 wird durch eine Primärluftzuführung 140 von außen mit der Zuführluft LZ gespeist. Am oberen Ende hat sie schräg verlaufende Seitenwände 143. Diese sind im dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel, konisch ausgebildet. Auf diese Seitenwände 143 trifft die durch den unteren Brennerrost 30 hindurchfallende Asche und gleitet entlang dieser Seitenwände 143 in der Ascheauffangvorrichtung 40 nach unten.
  • Fig. 3 zeigt die Draufsicht auf eine in einem Brennkammerboden 112 angeordnete Brenntellervorrichtung 10 und einen oberen Brennerrost 20. Der Brennerrost 20 umfasst hier sieben nebeneinander, zweidimensional in einer Ebene liegenden kegelförmigen Auffangelemente 22 (zu erkennen sind die kreisförmigen Kegelbasen bzw. -grundflächen) sowie die zwischen diesen Elementen 22 ausgebildeten Spalte 24 oder Durchtrittsöffnungen 24, durch die die kleineren Holzkohlestücke und Aschepartikel nach unten auf den unteren Brennerrost 30 fallen.

Claims (9)

  1. Brenner für einen Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel (100) mit einer Brennstoffzuführung nach dem Abwurfprinzip (130) mit wenigstens einer Primärluftzuführung (140), wobei der Brenner eine Brenntellervorrichtung (10) mit mindestens zwei übereinander angeordneten Brennerrosten (20,30) aufweist, wobei ein oberer Brennerrost (20) einen Auffangbereich (25) zum Auffangen von zugeführtem, zu verbrennendem Brennstoff aufweist und ein unterer Brennerrost (30) einen Glutbereich (31) zum Halten von zerfallendem, glühendem Brennstoff aufweist.
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der obere Brennerrost (20) kegel- oder pyramidenförmige Elemente (22) aufweist, wobei die kegel- oder pyramidenförmigen Elemente (22) den Auffangbereich (25) bilden und zwischen sich eine offene Spaltstruktur ausbilden.
  2. Brenner nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die beiden Brennerroste (20, 30) Rostebenen mit Durchtrittsöffnungen in Form von Löchern und/oder Spalten aufweisen, wobei die lichte Weite der Durchtrittsöffnungen des oberen Brennerrostes größer ist als die lichte Weite der Durchtrittsöffnungen des unteren Brennerrostes.
  3. Brenner nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der untere Brennerrost (30) ein Gitter, ein Lochblech und/oder eine regelmäßige ein- oder zweidimensionale Anordnung von Elementen (22), die zwischen sich eine offene Spaltstruktur ausbilden, umfasst.
  4. Brenner nach wenigstens einem der vorangegangenen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Brenntellervorrichtung Luftzuführelemente (23) zum Zuführen von Luft zum oberen Brennerrost und zum unteren Brennerrost aufweist.
  5. Brenner nach Anspruch 4,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Luftzuführelemente (23) einen Zuführkanal (231) und wenigstens eine Luftaustrittsöffnung (232) aufweisen.
  6. Brenner nach Anspruch 4 oder 5,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Luftzuführelemente (23) rohrförmig ausgebildet, an einem unteren Ende mit der Primärluftzuführung verbunden sind und an einem oberen Ende die kegel- oder pyramidenförmigen Elemente (22) des oberen Brennerrostes tragen.
  7. Brenner nach Anspruch 5 oder 6,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die wenigstens eine Luftaustrittsöffnung (232) stromaufwärts des zugeordneten oberen oder unteren Brennerrostes (20, 30) angeordnet ist.
  8. Brenner nach wenigstens einem der vorangegangenen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Brenner eine Ascheauffangvorrichtung (40) aufweist, die unterhalb des unteren Brennerrostes (30) angeordnet ist.
  9. Biomasse-Brennstoffkessel (100) mit einem Brenner nach einem der
    vorangegangenen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Brenntellervorrichtung (10) im Bereich des Bodens (113) einer Primärbrennkammer (110) angeordnet ist und dass die Brennstoffzuführung (130) oberhalb der Brenntellervorrichtung (10) in die Primärbrennkammer (110) mündet.
