Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for producing a thread-stitched signatures consisting of brochures, wherein the individual signatures are subtracted in their order from a magazine and placed on the saddle stitch, according to claim 1.
  • Thread sewing machines for the industrial and artisanal sector are known.
  • saddle stitchers for the industrial and craft sector are also known.
  • the signatures also called printing sheets
  • the product is either ready or is processed further, for example by sticking a blanket.
  • the staples can be removed from children, taken in the mouth and even swallowed, for example, which can lead to injuries.
  • it has been forbidden by law in some countries to produce exercise books with staples.
  • the exercise books are thread-stitched, namely several bows behind each other instead of stapled, this is relatively complex and expensive.
  • the invention aims to remedy this situation.
  • the invention as characterized in the claims, the object is to meet in a thread sewing machine of the type mentioned those requirements, which is a stapling of nested single signatures, which are executed in one cycle, allows, which can be spoken on the basis of the inventive method new from a collection thread stitching machine.
  • the invention thus relates to collection thread stitching machine, which is used both for collecting signatures and subsequent sewing with a stitch and subsequent empty stitch, which, however, takes place without additional empty cycle, as well as for classical thread stitching.
  • the inventive Sammelfadenheftmaschine is thus able to collect several folded signatures on top of each other and then within a machine cycle with two stitches (stitching stitch and empty stitch) to sew.
  • An empty stitch is an additional knot to secure the stitch.
  • the inventive Sammelfadenheftmaschine is therefore also able to combine classic thread stitching and saddle stitching together.
  • the saddle can z. B. 3 notes in a row three signatures attach, and then held for 2 bars in loading position and load 2 signatures on top of each other and then attach. This would correspond to an insertion of 2 signatures into each other on the saddle. This makes it possible to save one operation (plugging in) during production preparation.
  • the inventive collection thread stitching machine is further capable of multiple interleaved signatures, e.g. coming from a digital printing machine coming together to form a single signature to sew within a machine cycle with two stitches. This means for the first time that 100 signatures can be processed with 100 machine cycles. Previously, only 50 individual signatures were possible with a total of 100 machine cycles.
  • the inventive Sammelfadenheftmaschine is also able to accomplish in classic style thread stitching, ie to sew signatures one behind the other, and then execute a blank stitch with additional empty cycle or without staple stitching, where the empty stitch is created by the same organs that perform the basting stitches.
  • the signature is basically withdrawn in the magazine, placed on a conveyor belt and transported with the open side ahead under the saddle stitch, deflected by 90 ° upwards, opened and placed by a gripper drum on the saddle.
  • the inventive Sammelfadenheftmaschine can operate according to the following criteria:
  • the servo-controlled saddle moves to the stapling position and the servo-controlled stapling center tilts the signatures. The saddle then returns to loading position and the process starts again.
  • the nested signatures are subtracted as a single signature in the magazine, opened and placed on the saddle.
  • the servo-controlled book saddle moves to the stapling position and the servo-controlled stapling center staples the signature.
  • the saddle then returns to loading position and the process starts again.
  • the folder presser pushes the attached signature backwards and remains in that position for a while. During this time, the needles of the servo-controlled stitching center penetrate into the loop-forming seaming press and perform another stitch (empty stitch). Then the separation process is carried out. Thereafter, the Falzpresser moves back to its original position. The whole thing happens during a single machine cycle (360 °). A new empty cycle of the saddle without signature is not necessary.
  • Folded signatures can be collected one above the other and stapled within a machine cycle with two stitches.
  • the destruction of stapling by z. Childbirth and the ingestion of the stitching thread result in neither injury nor death - the thread-sewn products are child resistant to stapled products and the production is less expensive than traditional thread-stitching.
  • a cost saving for the customer can be achieved by increasing the productivity (stitching with empty stitch in the same time as without empty stitch). This results in an increase in productivity when stitching individual signatures by 100% while at the same time gaining in terms of saddle-stitched saddle stitching or classical thread stitching with just one machine.
  • Fig. 1 shows the basic elements of a collection thread stitching machine as well as the kinematic sequences that can be executed with the processing of signatures 200. Such a signature goes out first Fig. 1 not yet apparent. Reference is made to the following figures.
  • a belt transport system 9 Via a belt transport system 9, the supply of the signatures from the magazine to a gripper drum 6 is performed.
  • a gripper 8 are on the one hand with the gripper drum 6 and on the other hand with a saddle 100 in operative connection, wherein the saddle 100 is in a so-called loading position 2.
  • the open and gripped signature is symbolized with Pos. 7.
  • this saddle 100 moves from the loading position 2 into a stapling position 1, which in the Fig. 1 appears dashed and which is the supply of the now collected signatures 200 to the stitching station 300, said stitching station 300 is represented by their significant elements stitching rail 3, sewing needle 4 and 5 Falzpresser symbolized.
  • a first process-oriented variant is operated as follows:
  • the saddle 100 is already in the loading position 2 even before the first cycle. Here it also remains during the subsequent cycles, each of which serves to load the binding saddle 100, each with a signature 200.
  • Fig. 2 shows the second clock, in which case a first signature 200 has already been placed, so is in loading position without first stapled.
  • a second signature 200 which is not shown directly in the figure for reasons of clarity, is placed on this first signature 200 in conformity with the position.
  • This second signature 200 is again supplied by the gripper drum 6.
  • Fig. 3 the stitching saddle 100 is still in loading position 2, in which the gripper drum 6 is followed by a third signature 200 on the previously already applied two signatures.
  • the signature 200 intended for the next brochure is already being transported.
  • the next signature 200 introduced via the tape transport system 9 has already advanced to the gripper drum 6. There it is detected by the gripper 8 and passed to the stitching saddle 100 for a new load.
  • the stapling operation of the collected signatures is shown schematically, in particular as the stitching needle 4 is in use.
  • the sewing needle 4 moves out of the area of the saddle 100 and this then pivots back into loading position 2, where it waits for the first signature of the next brochure, which is now introduced via the gripper drum 6, as is Fig. 5 evident.
  • the seam presser moves to the stapling center of the stapling station 300, pushes the stapled paperback backward, and the sewing needles 4 again move downward, penetrate the loop-forming seam crimping machine 5, and execute an idle stitch. Thereafter, the process starts again. But there has been no empty cycle of saddle 100.
  • the collected signatures 200 are stitched in the sewing station 300 with a stitch and secured against loosening with an additional empty stitch.
  • the whole process is dictated by the fact that the folded signatures 200 are in the order 1, 2, 3; 1, 2, 3; etc., inserted into the magazine and withdrawn successively, carried out under the saddle 100 with the open side ahead, led by 90 ° upwards towards saddle, opened and rotated about the gripper drum 6 about its own axis and placed on the saddle 100.
  • the feeding of a signature corresponds to a machine cycle of 360 °.
  • the first signature After the first signature has been placed on the saddle 100, it remains in the loading position 2, as already explained above, and "waits" for the next or the next signatures.
  • the second signature is now placed over the first signature and then about the third signature, which is not conclusive to understand.
  • the servo-controlled book saddle and the servo-guided Center of sewing station 300 no movement off.
  • the servomotor (not shown in detail) drives the saddle 100 into stapling position 1, the signature is prepunched and tacked by the servo-controlled center of the sewing station 300.
  • the saddle 100 moves back to the loading position 2. Now pushes the loop-forming Falzpresser 5 in stapling position and pushes the attached brochure back to make room for the next booklet to be stapled.
  • the servo-controlled center of the sewing station 300 performs a basting stitch a second time, this time in the seaming press 5. This process is shorter than the previous one, since a pre-piercing is omitted.
  • the required thread is provided by a thread equalization (3), which is located above the stitching center.
  • a second process-oriented variant is operated as follows:
  • a previously collected (stacked) or inserted single signature should be stapled instead of with staples through a thread stitching. Two stitches are required for this - basting stitch plus empty stitch to secure the stitching.
  • the individual signatures are successively withdrawn in the magazine, performed with the open side ahead under the saddle stitch, deflected by 90 ° upwards, opened and placed over a gripper drum rotated about its own axis on the saddle stitch.
  • the servo motor drives the saddle into stapling position, the signature is prepunched and tacked by the servo-controlled stapling center. After completion of the first stapling operation, the saddle moves back into loading position.
  • the loop-forming folding press moves into stapling position and then pushes back the attached signature to make room for the next signature to be stitched.
  • the folder press remains in the stapling position
  • the servo-controlled stapling center performs a basting stitch a second time, this time in the folder press. This process is shorter than the previous one, since a pre-piercing is omitted.
  • the required thread is provided by the thread equalization (3).
  • the Falzpresser returns to its original position. An empty stitch to secure the signature was created, an additional empty cycle of the saddle and thus an additional machine cycle, is eliminated. It can be stapled immediately the next single signature.
  • a third process-oriented variant is operated as follows:
  • 10 compiled signatures are to be processed into a book block with empty stitch (classic thread stitching).
  • the signatures are successively withdrawn in the magazine, carried out with the open side ahead under the saddle stitch, deflected by 90 ° upwards, opened and placed over a gripper drum rotated about its own axis on the saddle stitch.
  • the servomotor moves the saddle into stapling position, the signature is prepunched and tacked by the servo-controlled stapling center.
  • the saddle moves back into loading position and the process starts again -10 sheets are stapled successively.
  • the folder presser pushes the last stitched signature backwards to make room for the next signature.
  • the servo-controlled stitching center does not execute a stitch, but stays in its starting position for the rest of the time.
  • the needles of the servo-controlled stitching center penetrate into the loop-forming seaming press and perform another stitch (empty stitch). This process is shorter than the previous stitches, since a pre-piercing is omitted.
  • the required thread is provided by the thread equalization (3). The whole thing happens during the last and tenth bars of the book to be stapled (360 °). An additional empty cycle to generate the empty line is eliminated. It can also be stapled without a blank sting. Being in loading position The saddle can be loaded immediately with the first signature of the next book.
