Definitions
- the present invention relates to a label for a bag filled with a liquid and a method for attaching such a label to a corresponding bag. More particularly, the present invention relates to a label for a pouch, such as an infusion or transfusion pouch, wherein the label may be securely affixed to the pouch to enable secure attachment of the labeled pouch.
- an active ingredient for example, a saline solution.
- This solution can then be administered to a patient by means of an infusion.
- the ready-prepared solution must be filled into a container. This container is then suspended for administration near the patient, and the fluid enters the patient's bloodstream via a tube with an infusion needle.
- glass containers or plastic bags are used as containers for such a pharmaceutical solution.
- glass bottles there is a risk that they can be easily destroyed under mechanical stress. In this case, there is the danger for the treating person to come into contact with the prepared solution, which represents a great danger, for example, in the case of cytostatics.
- the glass fragments of a broken glass bottle with their sharp edges pose a significant risk of injury.
- plastic bags are increasingly being used to provide infusion solutions.
- plastic bags have the potential for certain chemical substances to diffuse through the bag and contaminate the pharmaceutical solution. This danger exists in particular if for marking a bag on the A label is glued on and then certain, volatile constituents of the adhesive on the label diffuse through the bag. This phenomenon is called adhesive migration.
- a label for hanging a container is described.
- the label has a series of punctures, so that a strap is formed when tightened on a grip tab.
- the bracket is connected at its end points with the label stuck on the container.
- the bracket is intended to be hung on a spar.
- the label consists of several layers, which are in turn connected by an adhesive layer.
- a label for a liquid filled pouch comprising a first foil, the first foil having a bottom surface and an at least partially adhesive coated top surface.
- the label further comprises a second film having a top and a bottom, wherein the bottom of the first film is at least partially fixedly connected to the top of the second film to form a film composite.
- the film composite of the first film and the second film has a stamped from an open polyline with two endpoints, so that a strip-shaped tab is formed.
- the strip-shaped tab is connected along an imaginary line between the two endpoints with the rest of the film composite.
- the strip-shaped flap is adapted to pass through an opening in a bag to bond the strip-shaped flap to a folded part of the label.
- There are a further first and a further second stamping each consisting of an open or a closed polyline through the first and provided by the second film for hanging the label.
- the invention further comprises a method for attaching a label to a bag filled with a liquid, wherein the label is first picked up. Then the strip-shaped tab is placed and passed through an opening in the bag. Subsequently, at least a portion of the top of the first film with at least glued to a portion of the bag. Furthermore, the established strip-shaped flap is folded.
- the strip-shaped tab has the tendency or the property to return to the starting position.
- a kind of rebounding joint is formed.
- This effect is achieved in that the film composite is formed from two separate film layers and beyond appropriate punctures are applied at the point of the joint.
- the special properties associated with the special tab advantage because the tab on the one hand has a relatively high stiffness and on the other hand by the joint function a clearly defined swinging out of the film plane is possible.
- the underside of the first film is at least partially adhesively bonded to the top of the second film. This results in a particularly stable composite film.
- the upper side of the second film is partially provided with an adhesive-repellent substance and the first film layer additionally comprises in the region which comes to rest on the second film layer, at least one further stamping, wherein the first film so on the on the second film is that the further stamping is in the area of the adhesive-repellent substance.
- the film parts of the first film layer can be easily removed from the film composite and used as so-called auxiliary or additional labels for documentation purposes.
- the film composite of first and second film has a stamped for hanging the label.
- the bag can be hung easily at this opening on a suitable suspension device. Since the label is very tightly connected to the bag due to the flap guided through the opening of the bag, the risk of the label detaching itself from the bag in the suspended state is also virtually eliminated.
- the first film has a first thickness and the second film has a second thickness, wherein the first thickness is greater than the second thickness.
- At least the first foil further comprises at least one stamping near the end points of the polyline of the stamping of the strip-shaped flap.
- the joint properties of the film composite are further improved, which favors automated application of the label.
- the area of the adhesive-coated upper side of the first film is covered with a sheet-like material.
- a plurality of labels are applied to a web-shaped material and the web-shaped material with the plurality of labels is wound onto a roll.
- the labels for further processing can be provided in a particularly suitable form.
- the top of the first film is glued to the bag only in a region in which there is no liquid.
- the risk of adhesive migration can be almost completely eliminated.
- the adhesive of the label is cured after bonding in a further step, so that after curing a particularly strong connection between the label and the bag is formed.
- the upper side of the first film is glued to the bag in such a way that the glued strip-shaped flap is covered by a partial region of the first film.
- the tab is additionally fixed and achieved a particularly reliable connection between the label and the bag.
- FIG. 1 and 2 show schematic representations of a label 1 according to the invention.
- FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the label 1 and FIG. 1 a cross section along the section line XX FIG. 2 ,
- the film composite comprises or consists of a first film layer 10 and a second film layer 20.
- the two film layers 10 and 20 are at least partially firmly connected to each other.
- the bottom 12 of the first film layer 10 and the top 21 of the second film layers, the two film layer 20 are bonded together with a suitable adhesive 30.
- a suitable adhesive 30 but other ways to combine the two film layers together, in particular to laminate a film layer to the other, are possible.
- a pressure-sensitive adhesive 40, 41 is applied in partial areas.
- this pressure-sensitive adhesive 40, 41 can be printed on the upper side 11 of the first film layer 10 in a printing process.
- a strip-shaped tab 50 is punched into the label.
- the tab 50 is characterized by a stamped in the form of an open Polyline between the endpoints A and B formed.
- the punching for the tab 50 goes through both films 10 and 20 therethrough.
- a hinge forms between the tab 50 and the remaining label 1.
- the upper film layer 10 near the end points A and B of the tab 50 one or more stampings 60 are attached. These punctures 60 are matched in shape and size to the desired joint properties and thus contribute significantly to the improvement of joint function. In particular, it can be achieved that when the tab 50 is pushed out of the film composite, the tab has the tendency to return to its original position.
- an adhesive 40, 41 is also applied on the upper side 11 of the upper film layers 10.
- the adhesive is also applied in the region of the tab 50.
- the label 1 may still contain stampings 70 from an open or closed polyline. These punches 70 are designed so that it serves as a suspension opening. The stampings 70 pass through both film layers 10 and 20. Thus, it is possible, for example, to make a hook through the opening and to hang the label 1 together with the labeled bag.
- the first film layer 10 may comprise further stampings 80, are separated by the partial regions of the first film layers 10.
- the thus separated portions 81, 82 and 83 can serve as removable auxiliary or Belegetiketten, which can be removed at a later date and glued, for example, in the patient file.
- FIG. 3 the hatching 40 for marking the adhesive application in the areas 81 to 83 is not drawn. Nevertheless, the auxiliary or Belegetiketten are provided on its underside with an adhesive 40.
- the upper side 21 of the second film layers 20 is provided with an adhesive-repellent coating 90 in the region of the partial labels.
- an adhesive-repellent coating 90 in the region of the partial labels.
- this can be printed on the top 21 a siliconization.
- At least the region provided with the adhesive 40, 41 on the upper side 11 of the first film layer 10 can be provided with a cover film and thus protected.
- a so-called liner which has an adhesive-repellent coating on the side facing the adhesive 40, 41, is suitable for this purpose.
- a plurality of labels according to the invention are arranged side by side on such a web-shaped liner.
- the web-shaped liner with the labels can be easily rolled up and provided for further processing.
- a single label can first be removed before the liner.
- the label can be detached with a suction plate.
- FIG. 4 shows such a plate 100, at the bottom sucked a label 1 according to the invention.
- the plate 100 further has a mandrel 101 or the like.
- This mandrel 101 presses when receiving the label 1 on the plate 100, the tab 50 from the film plane.
- the tab 50 is almost perpendicular, as exemplified in FIG. 4 is shown. But another angle of the flap 50 is quite acceptable.
- the free end of the tab 51 may have an arrow-shaped configuration, as in FIG. 3 is shown.
- films of polyester are used for both film layers.
- foil composites where one or both foil layers are made of a different material, are readily possible.
- the tab 50 Due to the two-layer film composite and also the additional stampings 60 forms at the end of the tab connected to the remaining label a joint.
- the tab 50 itself, however, has sufficient rigidity and retains its shape even when pushing out the tab from the film plane. Due to the special two-layer design and / or the additional stampings 60 it is achieved that the tab 50 can be pushed out in a well-defined manner.
- a label prepared with tab 50 as prepared above can now be attached to an infusion bag 200.
- the label 1 located on the plate 100 is brought together with the bag 200 such that the pushed-out tabs 50 are passed through a suspension opening 201 of the bag 200.
- the tab 50 on the side of the bag 200 opposite the label folds back into its original position.
- the label 1 is folded down along an imaginary line L. and the second end region Z, which lies opposite the first end region already adhesively bonded to the bag 200, thus likewise comes to rest on the bag.
- the second end region Z is likewise coated with adhesive 41 in this exemplary embodiment.
- the label can be coated over its entire surface with adhesive.
- the second end portion Z is bonded to the edge of the bag 200.
- the tab 50 is covered by the second end portion of the label and the tab 50 and the second end portion are glued together.
- bag 200 and label 1 are firmly connected.
- the curing of the adhesive can be activated or accelerated by irradiation with infrared or ultraviolet light. Any other way of activating or accelerating curing of the adhesive is also possible.
- FIG. 5 shows an infusion bag 200 in cross section to which a label 1 according to the invention has been attached as described above.
- the infusion bag comprises a suspension section 200 in the upper part and a liquid reservoir 202 in the lower part.
- the upper suspension section 200 is designed such that no liquid can be present therein. This can be achieved for example by a suitable welding of the plastic films in this area.
- the infusion fluid is therefore located only within the lower fluid reservoir 202.
- the adhesive 40 of the label comes here only in the suspension area 200 with the infusion bag into contact, in which there is no liquid.
- the area the liquid reservoir 202 of the bag does not come in contact with adhesive, so that the risk of adhesive migration can be reliably excluded.
- the tab 50 is guided through the original suspension opening 201 of the bag 200 and glued on the opposite side of the label with the folded part of the label. In this way, a particularly secure attachment of the infusion bag 200 with the label 1. The risk that the label inadvertently detached from the bag can thereby be almost excluded.
- the invention relates to a special label for labeling infusion bags with a liquid.
- the bag is labeled only in a small portion, which contains no liquid.
- the label consists of a special composite film that allows a flap with special joint properties to be formed. Due to the special attachment variant, unintentional detachment of the label from the infusion bag can be virtually ruled out. Embodiments with additional removable partial labels are possible.
