Description

The invention is directed to a roofing system having at least one attachable to a roof substructure fastener and a plurality of shingles, each of a plurality of substantially parallel juxtaposed and end in a connecting portion interconnected Reet-Halmen are formed.

Systems of the aforementioned type are known in principle and are used for roofing roofs. The roofs covered in this way are designed to look like the traditionally made thatched roofs, where the natural reed stalks are applied by hand directly to a suitable roof substructure. Such traditional thatched roofs have a voluminous-looking and aesthetically pleasing appearance due to their dense covering layer of natural stalks. The disadvantages are the complicated laying and the high risk of fire of natural stalks.

The difficulty with prefabricated elements made of natural straws is also that the covered roofs have the same physical properties (such as waterproofness) as the traditional thatched roofs and at the same time also look like this.

A roofing system of the type mentioned is, for example, in the DE 35 18 686 A1 described. A roof covering element designed as a shingling consists of a multiplicity of reed stalks which are arranged approximately parallel next to one another and one above the other and which are connected to one another in their upper end area or in their head area in a connecting section. In this case, the connecting portion is underlaid by a carrier. The carrier is a lattice-shaped fabric which is connected to the head area of the reed stalks and serves for fastening the roof covering system formed by support and shingles to a roof substructure. A disadvantage of this known State of the art are the elaborate production of the roofing system and insufficient attachment of the support to the roof substructure, so that in strong winds or storms there is a risk that solves the roofing system of the roof substructure.

GB 2350849 discloses a roofing system according to the preamble of claim 1.

The invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a solution that provides a structurally simple way and cost an improved and versatile roofing system and beyond solves the existing in the prior art problems.

In a roofing system of the type described input, this object is achieved in that on the support surface that on the support surface a fastener to the roof substructure connectable mounting portion and a fixing section, with the help of a respective shingle are fixed to the corresponding fastener disassembled can, are formed, wherein between the mounting portion and the fixing portion extending in the longitudinal direction of the corresponding fastener mounting slot is formed, wherein in the mounted state of the roofing system between the fastener and a respective shingle by pressing the corresponding connecting portion in the mounting slot a clamping connection is formed.

Advantageous and expedient refinements and developments of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims.

The invention provides a possibility with which an improved roofing system is available in a structurally simple manner. A significant advantage is that with the roofing system according to the invention a complex roof substructure can be omitted. Sufficient are only rafters on which the roofing system can be attached. That lowers the Cost of materials and craftsmen and protects the environment. In addition, airy designs are possible. The high strength of the fastener and shingle system has also been confirmed by tests, and it has been found that the roofing system withstands high wind speeds. The roofing system with stalks enables the visualization of the roof from the inside or - with additional veneering from the inside - a cooling of the interior. The inventive clamping connection between the fastener and a respective shingles also allows easy replacement of individual shingles, a maintenance should be necessary. In addition, the roof covering system according to the invention of shingles and fastening strip can be produced without special roofing skills due to the simple handling. Due to the fastening element provided by the invention, the shingles need only be pressed in and arranged overlapping and mounted. The time savings during assembly is enormous.

In a further development of the roofing system, the invention provides that the reed stalks of a respective shingle are formed of a flame-retardant and / or flame-retardant and light-impermeable plastic and are connected together at least at the ends. The end connection can be produced, for example, by thermal welding of the reed stems or a comparable connection technique. The fact that the individual reed stalks are not natural stems, but consist of a plastic, the risk of fire compared to traditional roofing of natural reeds is significantly reduced. The flame retardant and / or fire retardant art reed shingles are also impermeable to UV light and, for example, provide suitable sun protection. In contrast to natural reed stalks, no maintenance is required in the plastic reef stalks that are modeled on nature, since they are not susceptible to weathering because, in contrast to natural reed stalks, the art reed stalks do not store any water. which would favor weathering and rotting. Furthermore The blades of artificial reeds have the advantage over natural reed stalks that no insects, rodents and birds are attracted.

In order to expand the functionality of the shingles, the invention provides in a further embodiment that a respective shingle of several superposed layers of parallel juxtaposed Reet-Halmen is formed, wherein in the several superimposed layers of reed stalks at least one impermeable to water Film is incorporated. As a result, a component to be provided in addition to shingles and fasteners for watertight design of the roofing is not required.

To further increase the resistance to wind forces, it is inventively advantageous if the connecting portion of the reed stalks of a respective shingle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the reed stalks is angled and that the support slot extends substantially perpendicular to the support surface. As a result, a stable clamping connection, which is formed between the fastening element and a respective shingle by pressing the corresponding connecting portion into the holding slot, is ensured even with strong wind forces.

The resistance to wind forces can be increased in a further embodiment of the invention in that the mounting slot has at least one barb-like change in its width. The barb-like change at least in portions enhances the clamp connection formed between the fastener and a respective shingle so that slipping of the connecting portion of the corresponding shingle from the support slot can be prevented by increasing the clamping force between the connection portion and the support slot.

In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the mounting portion has a V-shaped centering element with two legs, which converge at the end on the support surface and the leadership of the fastening element to the roof substructure fixing screw serve, wherein the free ends of the two legs carry a parallel to the support surface and between the two legs extending counter surface for a head of the fastening screw, which has a projecting between the two legs of the centering depression for sinking the head of the fastening screw. The mounting portion thus serves to fasten the fastener, for example, to a roof strut, for which purpose a screw is screwed through the mating surface in the direction of and through the support surface in the roof strut. The screw is hereby aligned by the V-shaped centering perpendicular to the rafters. In addition to the screw with the rafter can be mitverschraubt by the screw also a shingle, which provides an additional fixation in addition to the pure clamping connection. By fastening with screws in the specially designed recess, the roofing system can even withstand relatively high wind speeds.

Further, it is advantageous if the fixing portion has a perpendicular to the support surface extending counter surface for a head of a connecting portion of a shingle on the fastener fixing fixing screw, wherein the counter surface comprises a recess for sinking a head of the fixing screw. By this embodiment, a fixation of individual shingles by means of a screw connection is possible, wherein the screw according to the invention can be done vertically and in addition to the screw of the fastener with the rafters. However, a screw connection of shingles and fastener is purely optional, because the clamp connection is sufficient for a secure and stable fixation of the shingles under normal circumstances. However, this type of connection may be useful for certain areas of the roof to be covered, to which other types of screw due to structural limitations are out of the question.

The reed stalks can be additionally connected between their longitudinal ends in addition to their end connection. For this purpose, the invention provides that the reed stems a respective shingles between their respective ends by stapling are interconnected. It is also conceivable that the reed stems, if they are made of plastic, are welded together.

Overall, a roofing system is provided by the invention, which has a nostalgic appearance that reflects comfort, charm and character. The roofing system eliminates the need for costly maintenance, since the wear of the materials used is minimal. In addition, the materials used are also recyclable, which takes into account the aspect of protecting the environment.

In FIG. 1 is a side sectional view of an inventive roofing system for a thatched roof shown, which is used in the exemplary illustration for covering a roof substructure formed from roof struts 1. The roofing system comprises a plurality of strip-shaped fastening elements 2, which are mounted in several horizontal rows 3 on the roof struts 1 of the roof structure. The individual rows 3 are arranged to the ridge 4 of the roof at regular intervals from each other. How further the FIG. 1 can be seen, a plurality of the roofing forming shingles 5 are attached to the individual rows 3 of the fasteners 2. The shingles 5 are thus fastened via the fastening elements 2 to the roof struts 1 forming the roof structure. The actual roofing therefore consists of a multiplicity of shingles 5 which overlap in a scaly manner. Such a roofing looks like a traditional thatch roof, whereby the fastening elements 2 mounted on the roof substructure are concealed by the shingles 5.

In the FIGS. 2 and 3 each shingle 5 is shown, wherein FIG. 2 a sectional view and FIG. 3 a top view FIG. 2 shows. The shingle 5 shown comprises a plurality of substantially parallel juxtaposed and at the ends in a connecting portion 11 interconnected reed stalks 6. The individual reed stalks 6 are formed of a plastic which is flame retardant and / or flame retardant and light, in particular UV light, impermeable. The plastic used also has the advantageous properties that the reed stalks 6 withstand high wind speeds and do not break. As in particular from the FIG. 2 It can be seen that for a respective shingle 5, the flattened art-reed-stalks 6 are arranged not only next to each other, but also one above the other lying in several layers. Exemplary are in FIG. 2 three layers 7, 8, 9 of reed stalks 6 arranged one above the other and form a respective shingle 5. The individual Layers or layers 7, 8, 9 in this case comprise reed stalks 6 of different lengths, the lowest layer 7 having the longest reed stalks and the topmost layer 9 having the shortest reed stalks. Due to the multi-layered or multi-layered training with different length of the reed stems 6 creates a natural appearance of the roofing. At least at its head end 10 and the end side are arranged side by side and one above the other lying Reet-blades 6 in the connecting portion 11 by thermal welding together. Optionally, the superimposed layers 7, 8, 9 of the art-reed stalks 6, as in FIG. 2 is shown in the vicinity of the head end 10 additionally by means of a welded joint 12 connected to each other. As an alternative to the welded connection 12, it is conceivable that the reed stalks 6 of a respective shingle 5 are connected to one another by their respective ends by stapling or another connection technique (for example screws, gluing etc.). Also optionally, between or in the several superimposed layers 7, 8, 9 of reed stalks 6 at least one water impermeable film may be incorporated.

How further the FIG. 2 can be seen, is formed in the example shown shingle 5, the head end 10 and the connecting portion 11 with respect to the longitudinal axis of the reed stems 6 angled. The angled connecting portion 11 is of great importance for the formed between a corresponding fastener 2 and a respective shingle 5 clamping connection 13, which is produced during assembly of the roofing system by pressing the corresponding connecting portion 11 into a mounting slot 14 of the fastener 2, as explained in more detail below becomes.

In FIG. 4 the fastener 2 is shown in a side sectional view. The strip-shaped fastening element 2 comprises a support surface 15, which rests upon assembly, for example, on a roof strut 1. On the support surface 15, a mounting portion 16 and a fixing portion 17 are formed. The mounting portion 16 connects the fastener 2 with the roof strut 2 of the roof substructure, wherein the attachment of the mounting portion 16 is carried to the roof strut 1 by a screw connection. For this purpose, the mounting portion 16 comprises a V-shaped centering element 18, which is formed by two legs 19, 20. The two legs 19, 20 converge at the end on the support surface 15, whereas the free ends 21, 22 of the two legs 19, 20 a parallel to the support surface 15 and between the two legs 19, 20 extending counter surface 23 for a head of a fastening screw 24 (FIGS. please refer FIG. 1 ) wear. When mounting the fastening element to the roof strut 1, the fastening screw 24 is screwed from above into the counter surface 23 of the mounting portion 16 in the direction of the support surface 15. The counter surface 23 has a recess 25 with a notch, which serves as a grain for screwing in the fastening screw 24. After the fastening screw 24 has passed through the mating surface 23, the two legs 19, 20 form a kind of guide for the fastening screw 24 and center or align these on the bearing surface 15. After the fastening screw 24 has then pierced the support surface 15, it penetrates into the roof strut 1 of the roof substructure and forms between the roof strut 1 and the fastener 2 is a screw. The depression 25 formed in the mating surface 23 of the mounting portion 16 serves to sink the head of the fastening screw 24, as shown by way of example in FIG FIG. 6 for two fasteners 2 is shown.

Between the mounting portion 16 and the fixing portion 17 of the support slot 14 is formed, which extends in the longitudinal direction of the fastener 2 and extends substantially perpendicular to the support surface 15. Like that FIGS. 1 . 5 and 6 can be seen, the angled connecting portion 11 of a respective shingle 5 is pressed or pressed into the mounting slot 14 such that in the mounted state of the roofing system between the Fastener 2 and the respective shingle 5, the clamping connection 18 is formed. In this case, the support surface 15 extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the attached or pressed reed stalks 6. As further the FIG. 4 can be seen, the mounting slot 14 has a barb-like change in its width, in the illustration, the width of the mounting slot decreases three times and increases again in a jump. In an alternative embodiment, it is conceivable that the width of the mounting slot has only one change or a plurality of changes. The change of the width of the holding slot 14 serves to increase the clamping action of the connecting portion 11 pressed in the holding slot 14. The barb-like configuration of the slot depth also causes a once pressed into the mounting slot 14 connecting portion 11 of a respective shingle 5 is difficult to pull out of the mounting slot 14 out again.

With the help of the fixing portion 17 of the fastener 2 can also (optionally) a respective shingle 5 are fixed to the fastener 2 removable, for example by a screw connection. For this purpose, the fixing portion 17 has a perpendicular to the support surface 15 extending counter surface 27 for a head of a connecting portion 11 of a shingle 5 to the fixing element 2 fixing fixing screw 28 (see FIG. 1 ), wherein the mating surface 27 includes a recess 29 for sinking the head of the fixing screw 28. More specifically, between the fixing portion 17 and the connecting portion 11 of a respective shingle 5 a screw connection can be made to ensure the fixing of the shingles 5 to the fastener 2 and increase. In addition to increasing the fastening effect, the fixing screw 28 can also serve as a kind of theft protection of a respective shingle 5 in lateral areas of the covered roof.

The detailed characteristics of mounting portion 16 and fixing portion 17 will be described below with reference to FIGS FIGS. 1 . 5 and 6 described.

The mounting portion 16 serves on the one hand the attachment of the fastener 2 to the roof strut 1 of the roof substructure, as described above. In this case, the fastening screw 24 passes through the mounting portion 16 and the support surface 15 and is screwed into the lying below the support surface 15 roof strut 1, as in FIG. 6 is shown. The screwing takes place until the head of the fastening screw 24 is recessed in the recess 25 of the mounting portion 16 and rests on the counter surface 23. By sinking the head of the fastening screw 24, the prepared screw does not interfere with the overlying shingles 5, because the head of the fastening screw 24 is flush with the top of the fastener 2, on which the shingles 5 rest. However, the screw is only in areas into consideration, in which the support surface 15 of the fastener 2 rests on the roof strut 2 of the roof substructure.

In the areas where the support surface 15 of the fastener 2 does not rest on a roof strut 1 of the roof substructure, the mounting portion 16 of the fastener 2 of the optional fixing of individual shingles 5, as in the FIGS. 1 and 5 is shown. In this case, the overlapping areas of shingles 5, which are mounted in different rows 3 on corresponding fasteners 2, connected by a screw, wherein a connecting screw 30, the superimposed layers or layers of reed stems 6 different shingles 5 penetrates and then into the counter surface 23 of the mounting portion 16 is screwed. The head of the connecting screw 30 can be covered by a layer of reed stems 6, so that the screw is not visible from the outside and The appearance of the roofing also not disturbing impaired.

However, the latter possibility of fixing the shingles 5 is not desirable, at least in the region of the roof ridge. For this reason, in the last or uppermost row 3 of a fastening element 2 in front of the roof ridge 4, an optional fixing of the shingles 5 takes place by means of a screw connection between the fixing section 17 and a respective shingle 5, as in FIG FIG. 1 is shown. In this case, the fixing screw 28 is driven by the mating surface 27 of the fixing section 17 before the fixing screw 28 subsequently engages with a connecting section 11 of a respective shingle 5. In contrast to the screw connection described above, in this case the connecting portion 11 of a respective shingle 5 is connected by screwing with the fixing portion 17 and fixed in this way to the fastening element 2. This type of fixation can - as already mentioned above - are also used in side areas of the roof to protect the individual shingles 5 in this area against theft by the head end 10 and the angled extending connecting portion 11 of a respective shingle 5 by Fixing screw 28 and fixing portion 17 formed screw is secured.
