Abstract

Flexible, strip-shaped eaves covering element (100), comprising a flat base part (1) which, via a bending edge (15), merges into an apron-like eaves strip (2) which, when mounted on the roof, creates a gap between the water rebate of the respective gutter and the eaves plank bridged and pointing to the channel bottom, the eaves covering element being provided with at least one strip-shaped stiffening element (5.1, .... 5.n) arranged perpendicular to the bending edge, which is to be attached to the eaves board via at least one fastening element (8), characterized in that that - the at least one stiffening element (5.1, .... 5.n) is glued to the base part (1) of the eaves covering element (100), - the gluing of the at least one stiffening element (5.1, .... 5.n) with the base part (1) over at least one adhesive strip (6.1, 6.2) running parallel to the bending edge (15), and - over the at least one said adhesive strip ( 6.1, 6.2) also a ventilation profile (21) and a roofing membrane (11) can be connected to the eaves covering element.

Description

The invention relates to a flexible, strip-shaped eaves covering element, comprising a flat base part, which merges into a skirt-like eaves strip over a bending edge, which in the assembled state bridges a gap between the water fold of the respective gutter and the eaves board and points to the gutter base, wherein the eaves covering element is provided with at least one strip-shaped stiffening element arranged perpendicular to the bending edge, which is to be attached to the eaves plank via at least one fastening element.

A eaves covering element of the type mentioned at the outset is shown in DE 35 01 773 A1 described by the applicant. In the known eaves covering element, here called eaves supply air element, stiffening elements are nailed directly onto the eaves plank. The eaves plank, not the eaves covering element, is thus provided with the stiffening element. According to DE 35 01 773 A1 only then is a web-shaped cover strip of the eaves cover element placed on stiffening elements and held there by clamping. No glue is used. Due to this relatively weak attachment, however, it can, for. B. by unfavorable weather conditions and / or by damage to the eaves area roof tiles, come to a solution of the stiffening elements. The well-known eaves cover element can also not be rolled up due to the presence of guide webs. This increases the cost of storage and transportation.

From the DE 197 08 130 A1 the applicant has disclosed a strip-shaped, one-part eaves covering element which is divided into a flat base part, covering strips, and an angled eaves strip adjoining this. A required section of the eaves covering element is placed on the eaves plank and then connected to a roofing membrane using a double-sided adhesive strip. A ventilation duct is then attached to the base part, which contacts the underside of the roof tile. This solution has proven itself, however, the installed eaves covering element is subject to deformation due to the internal stresses and not least due to weather influences (e.g. temperature differences), which jeopardizes its actual task, namely the sealing of the eaves area.

The font DE 152 982 A describes a fastening device for eaves plates and gravel protection strip, in which the stiffening element (bracket) is connected to the eaves plank, but not to the eaves plate. The bracket on the eaves side is articulated with a eaves sheet holder below the roofing felt.

The task is to design an improved strip-shaped eaves covering element that does not deviate from the desired stable position after laying on the roof substructure and corresponds to the lines of the eaves.

The stiffening element can be formed by a hard plastic or sheet metal strip which is arranged lying flat on the eaves cover element, essentially perpendicular to the bending line. Instead of the hard plastic or sheet metal strip, an arbitrarily shaped, flat structure can be used, which can stiffen the elastic material of the eaves covering element.

The stiffening element preferably extends over the entire width of the base part to form a short L-leg, which is bent around the bending edge of the eaves covering element.

Suitable, non-corrosive nails or screws are suitable as fastening means, which are driven into the eaves plank via bores which are arranged on the stiffening element and via the material of the eaves covering element.

The metal stiffening element is glued to the elastic eaves covering element at least at certain points. Standard adhesives for metal, plastic or metal-rubber bonding can be used as adhesives. Finally, the stiffening element can be connected to the eaves covering element via at least one adhesive strip, which adhesive strip also serves for connection to a roofing membrane.

The stability of the connection can be improved by folding the eaves covering element be engaged by an end of the stiffening element opposite the L-leg.

It is important that the stiffening elements are arranged at a predetermined distance from one another, as a result of which the possible bulges of the installed eaves covering element can be effectively prevented. The stiffening elements are at a distance A arranged from each other, which is between 250 mm and 1200 mm, preferably between 400 mm and 500 mm.

It is not excluded to use tapered tension track holders for connection to the installed roofing underlay, which are incorporated in the stiffening element, for example by bending a flap. The tensioning track holder can also be designed in the form of a known mandrel, which is connected, for example, to a sliding element made of plastic, which in turn is to be fixed to the stiffening element.

It is also possible and technically feasible to arrange brackets for a ventilation profile on the stiffening element. The brackets can also be produced by bending tabs incorporated in the material of the stiffening element.

The eaves covering element described can be rolled up despite the attachment of stiffening elements and can be stored and transported in this form.

In the 1 is a flexible, strip-shaped eaves cover element 100 shown, made of soft, weather-resistant polyvinyl chloride with a thickness of about 2 mm. The eaves cover element has a flat base part 1 and one at this over a bending edge 15 subsequent, apron-like eaves strips 2nd , as well as several stiffening elements glued on 5.1 , .... 5.n and two parallel to the bending edge 15 running adhesive strips 6.1 , 6.2 on. The base part 1 is about 165 mm and the eaves strip in the present case 2nd about 60 mm wide.

The gluing of stiffening elements 5.1 , .... 5.n with the base part 1 is done using the aforementioned adhesive strips 6.1 , 6.2 that also connect to a ventilation profile 21st and to fix a roofing membrane 11 serve.

Like especially that 4th shows, the stiffening element is designed in the form of a sheet metal strip, the two holes 12 to hold fasteners 8th (see. 3rd ) and a short, approximately right-angled L-leg 17th having. The stiffening elements 5.1 , .... 5.n ensure a stable position of the on the eaves plank 9 attached, elastic eaves cover element. The stability still bears the eaves strip 2nd opposite fold 25th at, in which an end facing away from the L-leg 14 of the stiffening element engages.

In the 5 , 6a and 6b different embodiment of the stiffening element are shown. The tension track holder 18th is made by bending an originally rectangular tab cut out of the material of the stiffening element 23 and shaped by sharpening.
