Description

FAUTEUIL ROULANT A CONTROLE DE DIRECTION AMELIORE POUR
PERSONNES HEMIPLEGIQUES.
L'invention concerne, de façon générale, l'ergonomie des fauteuils roulants. Plus précisément, l'invention concerne un fauteuil roulant du type de ceux qui comprennent au moins un châssis présentant des côtés arrière, avant, droit et gauche, une assise portée par le châssis, et, sur chacun des côtés droit et gauche, une roue arrière montée à rotation autour d'un axe horizontal lié au châssis, une roue avant montée à rotation autour d'un axe horizontal porté par une chape elle-même montée à rotation autour d'un axe vertical correspondant lié au châssis, et un repose-pied lié au châssis et disposé à l'avant de l'assise. Le déplacement contrôlé d'un fauteuil roulant standard requiert, de la personne qui l'utilise, des efforts appliqués de façon coordonnée des deux côtés de ce fauteuil et qu'une personne hémiplégique n'est pas en mesure d' exercer . Bien que diverses solutions aient déjà été proposées pour surmonter cet écueil, les fauteuils roulants modifiés selon ces propositions continuent de présenter divers inconvénients et limitations, parmi lesquels on peut notamment citer : la nécessité d'une fabrication spécifique, un rayon de braquage élevé, la difficulté de franchissement d'obstacles, la pénibilité des longs trajets, la complexité de manipulation, la difficulté pour une tierce personne de diriger le fauteuil, la propension du fauteuil à se dérégler, ou encore sa fragilité. Dans ce contexte, l'invention a essentiellement pour but de proposer un fauteuil roulant adapté aux personnes hémiplégiques et surmontant certains au moins des inconvénients et limitations précédemment énumérés. A cette fin, le fauteuil roulant de l'invention, par ailleurs conforme à la définition générique qu'en donne le préambule ci-dessus, est essentiellement caractérisé en ce que, sur un premier au moins des côtés droit ou gauche, le repose-pied est lié en rotation, autour de l'axe vertical correspondant, à la chape portant la roue avant sur ce premier côté.
Grâce à cet agencement, la personne utilisant le fauteuil de l'invention peut en assurer la direction de façon simple par une immobilité, une adduction, ou une abduction de la hanche, dont l'effet correspondant est maintenir en place ou d'écarter dans un sens ou dans l'autre le repose-pied lié en rotation à la roue directrice avant, et donc de faire progresser ce fauteuil en ligne droite, vers un côté, ou vers l'autre, avec un rayon de giration d'autant plus petit que le mouvement de la hanche est important.
De plus, dans la mesure où cet agencement est structurellement très simple, le fauteuil de l'invention peut être obtenu par adaptation d'un fauteuil standard sans requérir une fabrication spécifique.
Typiquement, le châssis comprend, sur le premier côté au moins, un montant avant par rapport auquel le repose-pied et la chape portant la roue avant sont montés en rotation autour de l'axe vertical correspondant. II est ainsi notamment possible de prévoir que, sur le premier côté au moins, le montant avant comprenne un tube creux débouchant vers le sol et dans lequel passe l'axe vertical de rotation de la chape de la roue avant, et que le repose-pied soit lié en rotation à la chape de la roue avant au moyen d'une tige traversant le tube.
Par ailleurs, l'axe horizontal de rotation de chaque roue arrière peut être porté par un montant arrière correspondant du châssis. L'invention peut être facilement mise en œuvre sur un fauteuil comprenant au moins une main courante solidaire en rotation d'une roue arrière correspondante, dans lequel chaque roue arrière est fixée au châssis de façon démontable, et dont le châssis est pliant.
D'autres caractéristiques et avantages de l'invention ressortiront clairement de la description qui en est faite ci-après, à titre indicatif et nullement limitatif, en référence aux dessins annexés, dans lesquels : - la figure 1 est une vue en perspective d'un fauteuil roulant de type connu; la figure 2 est une vue en perspective d'un fauteuil roulant conforme à un mode de réalisation préféré de 1 ' invention; - la figure 3 est une vue agrandie d'un détail de la figure 2; et
- la figure 4 est une vue partielle et éclatée des éléments illustrés à la figure 3.
Comme annoncé précédemment, l'invention concerne un fauteuil roulant comprenant notamment, de façon connue
(figure 1), un châssis 1, une assise 2 portée par le châssis
1, deux roues arrière 31, deux roues avant 32, et deux repose-pieds 4.
Le châssis 1 est de préférence pliant, auquel cas l'assise 2 est souple ou elle-même pliante.
La forme générale partiellement asymétrique et les modalités d'utilisation d'un tel fauteuil permettent de définir un côté arrière AR, un côté avant AV, un côté droit DR et un côté gauche GA. Les roues arrière 31 comprennent donc une roue arrière droite et une roue arrière gauche, les roues avant comprennent de même une roue avant droite et une roue avant gauche, et les repose-pieds comprennent un repose-pied droit et un repose-pied gauche.
Chaque roue arrière 31 est montée à rotation autour d'un axe horizontal 310 fixe, en fonctionnement, par rapport au châssis 1, le moyeu définissant l'axe de rotation 310 de cette roue étant par exemple porté, de façon démontable, par un montant arrière correspondant 11 du châssis 1.
Chacune des roues arrière 31 présente typiquement un diamètre sensiblement plus important que celui des roues avant, chacune de ces roues 31 ou l'une d'elles au moins pouvant par ailleurs être dotée, de façon également connue en soi, d'une main courante 311 solidaire de cette roue 31 et permettant de l'entraîner en rotation autour de l'axe 310 correspondant . Chaque roue avant 32 est montée à rotation autour d'un axe horizontal 320 porté par une chape 321 qui est elle- même montée à rotation autour d'un axe vertical correspondant 3210 lié au châssis 1.
Par ailleurs, chaque repose-pied 4 est lié au châssis 1 et disposé à l'avant de l'assise 2.
Selon l'invention, le repose-pied 4, sur l'un au moins des côtés droit ou gauche, est lié en rotation, autour de l'axe vertical correspondant 3210, à la chape 321 portant la roue avant 32 sur ce côté. Dans le cas le plus simple et le plus adapté aux personnes hémiplégiques, l'un des repose-pied 4 est fixe par rapport au châssis 1, et l'autre est ainsi lié en rotation à la chape 321 qui porte la roue avant 32 située du même côté que ce repose-pied. Comme le montre la figure 3, l'un des repose-pieds 4 et la chape 321 de la roue avant correspondante 32 peuvent être montés en rotation, ensemble et autour de l'axe vertical correspondant 3210, sur ou dans un montant avant 12 du châssis 1.
Dans le cas illustré, qui correspond à un mode de réalisation préféré de l'invention, le montant avant 12 (figure 3) est essentiellement constitué par un tube creux débouchant vers le sol et traversé par une tige 121 (figure
4) .
La tige 121 s'étend suivant l'axe vertical 3210 de rotation de la chape 321 de la roue avant 32, et rend cette chape 321 solidaire en rotation, autour de l'axe vertical 3210, du repose-pied 4 situé du même côté que cette chape.
L'axe du repose-pied est par ailleurs monté sur deux roulements à billes dont la hauteur est compensée par modification de la hauteur de la roue 32 dans la chape 321.

Claims

REVENDICATIONS .
1. Fauteuil roulant, comprenant au moins un châssis (1) présentant des côtés arrière (AR), avant (AV), droit (DR) et gauche (GA), une assise (2) portée par le châssis (1), et, sur chacun des côtés droit et gauche, une roue arrière (31) montée à rotation autour d'un axe horizontal (310) lié au châssis (1), une roue avant (32) montée à rotation autour d'un axe horizontal (320) porté par une chape (321) elle-même montée à rotation autour d'un axe vertical correspondant (3210) lié au châssis (1), et un repose-pied (4) lié au châssis (1) et disposé à l'avant de l'assise (2), caractérisé en ce que, sur un premier au moins des côtés droit ou gauche, le repose-pied (4) est lié en rotation, autour de l'axe vertical correspondant (3210), à la chape (321) portant la roue avant (32) sur ce premier côté, en ce que le châssis (1) comprend, sur le premier côté au moins, un montant avant (12) par rapport auquel le repose- pied (4) et la chape (321) portant la roue avant (32) sont montés en rotation autour de l'axe vertical correspondant (3210), en ce que, sur le premier côté au moins, le montant avant (12) comprend un tube creux débouchant vers le sol et dans lequel passe l'axe vertical (3210) de rotation de la chape (321) de la roue avant (32), et en ce que le repose- pied (4) est lié en rotation à la chape (321) de la roue avant (32) au moyen d'une tige (121) traversant le tube (12) .
2. Fauteuil roulant suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'axe horizontal (310) de rotation de chaque roue arrière (31) est porté par un montant arrière correspondant (11) du châssis (1).
3. Fauteuil roulant suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend en outre au moins une main courante (311) solidaire en rotation d'une roue arrière correspondante (31).
4. Fauteuil roulant suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que chaque roue arrière (31) est fixée au châssis (1) de façon démontable.
5. Fauteuil roulant suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que le châssis (1) est pliant.
