Definitions

  • the invention relates to a stand-up pouch for bulk goods according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention also provides a method for producing a stand-up pouch.
  • the stand-up pouch is usually formed by heat sealing, wherein the front and rear wall and the bottom and top folds are formed of a film, which are heat-sealable on their facing the interior of the pouch surface.
  • Particularly suitable are multilayer films which are formed by coextrusion and / or lamination. Before the lamination printing can be applied, which can then be arranged internally protected in the lamination of the multilayer film.
  • the front wall, the rear wall, the bottom fold and optionally arranged on the bag head head folds can be formed either of pieces of the same film or at least partially made of different films.
  • a stand-up pouch with the described features is suitable as packaging for liquid, pasty, powdery or granular products.
  • the possible fields of application range from the packaging of beverages, liquid concentrates, liquid detergents, detergents, viscous body care products to liquid or pelleted pet food, powdery or granular construction products, cereals, rice, sugar, flour or the like.
  • the closure device can be designed, for example, as a pouring element in the form of a pouring spout, which makes it possible to provide a reclosure may also have a cap.
  • a pouring element in the form of a pouring spout
  • Such spouts are usually formed from a plastic and relatively stiff.
  • the connection to the head fold as well as to the front wall and / or rear wall can be effected in a particularly simple manner by heat sealing, wherein a reliable sealing can be achieved by a fusion of the polymers.
  • Stand-up pouches without a handle are out EP 0 772 554 B1 .
  • EP 1 233 915 B1 and EP 1 737 752 B1 known.
  • Each of the stand-up pouches has a pouring spout with a screw cap which is fastened centrally to the upper edge of the stand-up pouch between the front wall and a wing of a head fold provided on the bag head.
  • the filled stand-up pouch has a bulbous, approximately hexagonal shape and can be grasped by a user by hand and then handled similarly to a beverage can or beverage bottle. To allow embracing and thus easy handling of the bag, the state bag must not exceed a certain size, so that good handling can be guaranteed only with small container sizes.
  • a pouch which has a beak-shaped frangible extension as a spout and a handle in his head area. While the handle is disposed toward a front wall of the bag, the spout attaches to an upper portion of the rear wall. After opening the spout, the bag can be held on the handle and deflated by lifting the bottom of the bag. The bag is to be handled with two hands, the spout has only a low stability due to its central arrangement above the rear wall. The pouring of the filling material can thus be difficult to control, in particular, a precise pouring of the filling material into a filling opening or the like is difficult.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a stand-up bag for bulk goods, which is easy and precise to handle even with a large receiving volume. Furthermore, a method for producing such a bag is to be specified.
  • the carrying handle is arranged in the region of the first side edge, an optimal distribution of the load on the bag body can be achieved without the stand bag being excessively deformed.
  • a longitudinal sealing seam is arranged, which is a Stiffening of the bag causes.
  • the bag head is formed by a head fold, wherein the head fold is connected to upper edges of the front wall and the rear wall and wherein the closure device is attached on the one hand to the head fold and on the other hand to the front wall and / or the rear wall.
  • a substantially prismatic, tubular shape can be achieved, which provides an optimal filling volume in relation to the footprint and bag height.
  • the carrying handle can be arranged exactly in the middle between the bag head and bottom fold on the first side edge. Depending on the bag geometry and the intended filling, it may also be expedient to arrange the carrying handle, starting from a central arrangement, slightly upwards in the direction of the bag head or downwards in the direction of the bottom fold, the rest position being determined by the positioning of the carrying handle on the first side edge of the raised on the handle handle bag is determined.
  • the carrying handle always has a certain extent and thus usually extends to a part of the front wall and the rear wall.
  • the closure device is arranged not offset in the center of the bag head but in the direction of the second side edge.
  • the closure device and the carrying handle are then arranged diagonally opposite, so that a handling results, which corresponds approximately to the handling of a pot.
  • the closure device directly on the second side edge or starting from the second Side edge slightly offset in the bag to be arranged.
  • an obliquely angled corner region adjoins the upper end of the second side edge, wherein the closure device can then be arranged in this corner region.
  • the closure device is arranged offset in the direction of the second side edge, preferably at or at a small distance from the second side edge, there is also the advantage, in addition to the preferred arrangement obliquely opposite the carrying handle, that the area below the closure device is formed by the second side edge in FIG a considerable extent stiffened and reinforced.
  • the front wall, the rear wall, the bottom fold and preferably provided on the bag head head folds are made of film, so an increased stability during pouring or pouring can be achieved, and also the risk of uncontrolled deformation of the bag is reduced due to the flexibility of the film. In particular, a higher stability is achieved than in known stand-up pouches.
  • the carrying handle comprises a separate film strip as a handle loop or part of a handle loop.
  • no heat-sealing seam along the second side edge is then present in the area of the carrying handle, but sealing seams are expediently formed above and below at a distance from the carrying handle.
  • the separate film strip as a grip loop can be easily sealed to the bag outside. If, however, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the film from which the front wall and the rear wall are formed is heat-sealable only on the side which is associated with the interior of the stand-up pouch, the separate Foil strips are attached directly or indirectly to the inner surface of the front wall and rear wall.
  • a first embodiment provides that the film strip is fastened to the bag inner side surface and accessible through a handle opening in the region of the first side edge.
  • the attachment is preferably by heat sealing.
  • the handle opening is liquid-tightly closed by a foil sheet, which is connected at the back of the film strip by a sealing seam surrounding the handle opening with the bag inner surface.
  • the handle opening is closed by a detachable film section of the front and rear wall in the region of the first side edge, so that the film engaging handle is initially arranged completely within the contour of the stand bag.
  • Bag blanks which preferably initially lay a bag making machine flat and leave unfilled, have smooth surfaces and as a result can be easily stacked and transported. Also, the transport of filled pouches, for example, in cartons or other packaging is not affected if the carrying handle is hidden behind a smooth outer surface.
  • the carrying handle has in this case an existing of the film strip loop which engages around a carrier sheet.
  • the carrier sheet projecting on both sides of the loop is preferably secured to a rear sheet of film and / or to the inner surface of the bag, preferably by heat sealing.
  • the described handle construction has the advantage that the force acting while carrying the stand bag force is first distributed to the carrier sheet and thus on a large area. The even force distribution allows the transmission of large loads.
  • the carrying handle can also be designed as a simple film strip.
  • a simpler foil strip it is advisable to thermally connect the ends through openings in the bag casing with a foil sheet, which is fastened with sealing seams on the bag inner surface and closes the openings in a liquid-tight manner.
  • a reinforcing sheet is arranged on the inner surface of the bag and connected to the inner surface by heat sealing, wherein a handle loop is formed from a section of the bag film and the reinforcing sheet bounded at the edge by two slots.
  • a closure sheet is provided, with which an opening formed by the grip loop is covered on the inside of the bag.
  • the slots defining the grip loop can each be arranged between two sealing seams with which the reinforcing sheet is sealed onto the inner surface of the bag.
  • the front wall and the rear wall are connected at the second side edge by a longitudinal sealing seam.
  • the front wall and the rear wall can be formed together from a foil blank in that the foil blank is folded onto itself along the first side edge.
  • a longitudinal sealing seam is arranged, which is interrupted along the carrying handle.
  • a sealed seam is not necessary there, because the front wall and the rear wall are formed from a common foil blank which extends along the first side edge folded itself. The front wall and the rear wall thus merge directly into one another at the first side edge.
  • the stand-up pouch when filled there has a bulbous shape. It is expedient that sealing seams arranged above and below the carrying handle end at a certain distance from the carrying handle, so that the stand-up pouch formed from foil can deform to a certain extent.
  • the head folds and the bottom folds usually have a central folding edge running in the transverse direction of the stand bag and two wings starting therefrom.
  • the bottom fold and the top fold have approximately the same dimensions.
  • the bottom fold has a greater width than the head fold. This means that the bottom fold in the flat state of the stand bag forms a deeper fold than the head fold.
  • the stand-up pouch, in the filled state, has a somewhat upward tapering shape.
  • the closure device in which the closure device is preferably arranged offset in the direction of the second side edge, can, depending on its design, on both wings and on the front wall and the rear wall or between only one of the wings on the one hand and the front wall or the rear wall on the other be used.
  • the last-mentioned embodiment is particularly useful when the closure device as a pouring element, for example in the form of a Spout, is formed.
  • a pouring element is usually made of rigid plastic and preferably comprises a cap which allows a reclosure. The cap can be attached for example by screwing or snapping.
  • the pouring element described may be provided in accordance with a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention in conjunction with an adjoining the second side edge, obliquely extending corner region, wherein the pouring element is arranged in the angled corner region.
  • the pouring element is then arranged obliquely upward according to the discharge direction.
  • the pouring element is thus advantageously secured against damage. If the pouring element does not protrude or does not protrude significantly beyond the base area, a small space requirement is also ensured, so that filled stand-up pouches can be packed tightly.
  • a funnel effect in the direction of the pouring element can be achieved.
  • the closure device has interconnectable reclosure strips. These can either be connected as a so-called zipper by manual pressure or train or as so-called slider with an additional slide and separated. With a slider closure, the slider must be accessible during use, for which it may need to be exposed before first use.
  • connectable reclosure strips are provided in the manner of a zipper, which can be arranged offset correspondingly in the bag. Such reclosure strips can be arranged either between only one of the wings on the one hand and the front wall or the rear wall on the other.
  • a reclosure strip is attached to both wings of the head fold and the other reclosure strip to the front wall and to the rear wall is preferred.
  • the head fold can be opened upwards in the case of an open reclosing device, so that a particularly large roughly diamond-shaped removal opening is formed.
  • the head fold is then folded back between the front wall and the rear wall, wherein the closure strips are connected by compression.
  • the reclosure strips are preferably arranged parallel or at least approximately parallel to the second side edge.
  • a connecting line running obliquely upward from the second side edge into the bag can be provided, at which the front wall is connected to the rear wall.
  • the connecting line expediently ends approximately at the lower end of the closure strip.
  • the closure device may be concealed by a separable bag section before a first opening of the bag.
  • a separable bag portion comprises parts of the front wall and the rear wall and optionally also a part of the head fold. It is also conceivable, the head fold previously formed correspondingly shortened, in which case at the connection of the head fold with the front wall and the rear wall sufficient sealing must be observed.
  • a line of weakness may be arranged between the second side edge and the closure device.
  • the stand-up pouch can be made of transparent polymers or equipped with windows in order to be able to recognize the fill level.
  • Advantageous material combinations are, for example, PET / PE, OPP / PE, PET / OPA / PP, OPP / PP and PE / PE.
  • transparent barrier layers can be formed by SiOx-coated films or by coextruded barrier polymer layers, e.g. B. EVOH be provided.
  • plastic films and composite materials may be used which have one or more layers of biodegradable and renewable resources. Examples are cellulose / starch polyester and OPLA / PLA polyester compounds.
  • composite materials which comprise a metallic intermediate layer or an intermediate layer of a metallized polymer are also particularly suitable for the stand-up pouch according to the invention.
  • Advantageous material combinations are PET / Alu / PE, PET / Alu / PP and OPP (metallized) / PP.
  • the thickness of the plastic film depends largely on the bag size and the filling weight for which the stand-up pouch is designed.
  • a stand-up pouch for liquids with a filling volume of about 2.5 liters can be made for example of a plastic film, which has a three-layer construction with a 12 ⁇ m thick outer layer of PET, a 12 ⁇ m thick intermediate layer of PET and a 100 ⁇ m thick polyethylene layer on the inside of the bag.
  • fabrics in the film composite it is also possible to use fabrics in the film composite.
  • Such a plastic film has, for example, a layer composite of PE / fabric / PE.
  • the invention also relates to a method for producing a stand-up pouch, which is designed in particular as described above, wherein a carrying handle assembly is placed with at least one foil strip on a foil section, wherein the foil section is subsequently folded onto itself to form a front wall and a rear wall in that the carrying handle arrangement lies on a first side edge of the folded film section, the front wall and the rear wall being separated along the side edge in the direction of the side edge, in front of and behind the carrying handle arrangement, whereby a bottom fold and preferably also a top fold are fed and aligned be placed transversely to the side edge at a distance from each other between the front wall and the rear wall, wherein in the region of a bag head, a closure device is arranged and wherein by heat sealing a closed stand-up pouch or a to voni ndest one side open bag blank is formed.
  • the edges of the film section opposite the first side edge usually form a second side edge, wherein the front wall and the rear wall are connected to each other over a part of the second side edge and not over the entire length of the side edge by a heat-sealing seam.
  • An upper section and a lower section of the second side edge should first be excluded from a heat seal in order subsequently to be able to insert and fix the bottom fold and the top fold.
  • the first side edge is also on the first side edge, which is formed only by folding, the partial separation of the rear wall and front wall required.
  • the carrying handle arrangement is arranged correspondingly centrally in the transverse direction of the material web.
  • the film sections After separating the film sections, they are preferably transported perpendicular to the extent of the side edges in a transverse direction. During transport in the transverse direction, the further method steps, such as the introduction of the bottom fold and the top fold, can then be carried out sequentially one after the other or partly simultaneously.
  • the bottom fold and the top fold can be supplied in particular as a continuous, folded band, in which case a cut takes place corresponding to the width of the individual folded foil sections.

  • a corner formed by the head fold, the front wall and the rear wall and adjoining the second side edge can also be cut off obliquely, with the closure device subsequently being fastened in the angled corner region.
  • Such a configuration is particularly useful for the arrangement of a closure device in the form of the pouring element described above.
  • reclosable strip are arranged as closure means between inner surfaces of the front wall and the rear wall on the one hand and the head fold on the other hand. It is possible to unfold the corresponding area before feeding the head fold, wherein a first reclosing strip on which the second reclosure strip is latched, is sealed to the inner surface of the front wall and the inner surface of the rear wall. Then the head fold is fed and connected to the second closure strip.
  • a closure device When a closure device is attached with reclosing strip, it is also preferred to form a line of weakness which is located between the second side edge and the reclosure strip in the finished, closed stand-up pouch or one-side open pouch blank.
  • heat sealing seams can be produced, which are essentially intended to the filling material to the Lock device to lead.
  • the reclosing strips can be arranged at a distance from the second side edge, wherein between the second side edge and the reclosing device an obliquely extending, the front wall connecting to the rear wall sealing seam is formed. • the stand-up pouch When the stand-up pouch is lifted on the carrying handle 6, the stand-up pouch moves from the illustrated vertical orientation into a horizontal orientation, in which case the pouring element 12 points obliquely downwards, whereby only comparatively small forces must be exerted for the control during a pouring out.
  • Starting from a rest position of the raised to the handle 6 bag can be done with a relatively small amount of force tilting.
  • the control of pouring or pouring the contents can be done by the user with his second hand raises or lowers the bottom of the bag or alone by tilting of the carrying handle 6, the desired position and inclination of the pouring element 12 sets.
  • the stand-up pouch can be used in the manner of a jug, whereby a very large stand-up pouch with a high weight can be handled well.
  • the bag also has a particularly high stability.
  • the longitudinal sealing seams 8 arranged above and below the carrying handle 6 contribute to a considerable stiffening and to a particularly uniform distribution of force.
  • the arrangement of the pouring element 12 immediately above the second side edge 5b in the obliquely angled corner region 11 a particularly high stability is achieved. Therefore, there is no risk during the pouring or pouring out of the filling material that the stand-up pouch deforms uncontrollably, as a result of which emptying of the pouch could be considerably hindered. Even with a large stand-up pouch, the contents can be precisely metered and poured, for example, into a filling opening or the like.
  • pouring element 12 is made of a rigid plastic, for example by injection molding, formed and fixed liquid-tight between the front wall 1 and a wing of the head fold 4 by heat sealing.
  • the two wings of the head fold 4 are connected to one another in the region of the pouring element 12, for example by connecting points made of adhesive.
  • the pouring element 12 shown in the embodiment comprises a screw cap 13 and can be easily opened and closed again.
  • the stand-up pouch has a bulbous shape, whereby the carrying handle 6 arranged on the first side edge 5a can easily be grasped behind, since the first side edge 5a in the area of the carrying handle 6 is not provided with a longitudinal sealing seam and is not severely bent.
  • the pouring element 12 is arranged in the obliquely angled corner region 11, this is also not or at least not substantially beyond the base of the bag and is thus protected to some extent against damage.
  • several stand-up pouches can also be tightly packed next to each other, without the pouring elements 12 of the individual stand-up pouches being a hindrance.
  • a film for the front wall, the rear wall, the bottom fold and head folds in particular multi-layered embodiments are suitable, which are heat-sealable on at least one side.
  • especially transparent or translucent embodiments are particularly useful, being outside of the in the Fig. 1 not shown viewing window in the usual way a print can be provided.
  • the printing is usually produced before lamination and during lamination is arranged inside the bag film in order to protect the print against abrasion.
  • Fig. 2a to 2h show the process steps for the preparation of in the Fig. 1 illustrated bag.
  • a material web 14 of a bag film in the longitudinal direction of the material web 14 is supplied, being sealed at equidistant intervals on a heat-sealable side of the web 14 handle assemblies 15, each having the previously described film strip 7 and at least one back cover 16. Regions of the web 14, each with a handle assembly correspond to a film section from which a stand-up bag is subsequently formed.
  • the material web is folded into a half-tube in such a way that the carrying handle arrangement 15 lies on a first side edge 5a.
  • the superposed edges of the material web connected to a longitudinal sealing seam 8, which is interrupted in the longitudinal direction of the material web 14 at regular intervals.
  • the formed longitudinal sealing seam 8 is arranged at the level of the carrying handle arrangement 15, whereby the edges of the material web 14 at the second side edge 5b are not sealed to one another at the individual film sections in front and behind.
  • cuts 17 are formed on the first side edge 5a in front of and behind the carrying handle arrangement. The cuts 17 are preferably produced by cutting off an outer edge of the self-folded film in the area of the first side edge 5a.
  • This separation of the front wall 1 and rear wall 2 formed by the folding of the material web 14 is necessary in order subsequently to be able to arrange the bottom fold 3 and the top fold 4.
  • the top and bottom end portions of the front wall 1 is according to the Fig. 2e the bottom geometry is formed by the production of a transverse sealing seam 9 and two corner sealing seams 10. Furthermore, at the head fold 4, a corner adjoining the second side edge 5b is cut off obliquely, whereby the in Fig. 1 illustrated oblique corner region 11 is formed.
  • the closure device is then used in the form of the pouring element 12 between the not yet connected wings of the head fold 4 and the front wall 1 in the inclined corner region 11 and sealed. Subsequently, a transverse sealing seam 9 and corner sealing seams 10 are then formed on the head fold 4.
  • Fig. 2h also not yet closed sections on the second side edge 5b closed with longitudinal sealing seams 8, wherein further longitudinal sealing seams 8 are generated opposite to the first side edge 5a above and below the handle formed by the handle assembly 15 carrying handle 6, which are in particular also provided to reinforce the first side edge 5a ,
  • trimming the sealed bag edges can be done, and finally the two wings of the head fold 4 are fixed in the region of the pouring element 12, for example by means of adhesive points to each other.
  • this reclosing strip 19a, 19b which can be locked together as a closure device has.
  • the arrangement of the handle assembly 15 and the attachment of the bottom fold 3 is carried out as in the manufacturing process, which in the Fig. 2a to 2h is shown. For this purpose, reference is made to the above description.
  • the head fold 4 is fed and sealed in the unfolded state with the second reclosure strip 19b.
  • the associated part of the front wall 1 is folded back, so that the reclosure strips 19a, 19b are arranged in the region of the head fold 4 in the bag interior.
  • Fig. 3c then takes place after folding back the front wall 1, the arrangement of a transverse seam 9, a longitudinal sealing seam 8 in the second side edge 5b and a corner seam 10 in the region of the first side edge 5a.
  • the reclosure strips 19a, 19b are slightly offset from the second side edge 5b.
  • a line of weakness 20 is formed between the reclosure strips 19a, 19b and the second side edge 5b, for example by a laser or by a perforation ( Fig. 3d ).
  • the previously formed sealing seams can be trimmed in the usual way.
  • an obliquely extending sealing seam 21 is produced which connects the front wall 1 with the rear wall 2 between the second side edge 5b and a lower edge of the reclosing strips 19a, 19b. This sealing seam 21 is intended to direct the contents in the direction of the reclosing strip 19a, 19b during a pouring out and to avoid an undesired accumulation of the filling material.
  • the Fig. 4a and 4b show the stand-up bag, according to the in the Fig. 3a to 3d is made shown method. While the Fig. 4a the stand bag shows in the closed state, is the Fig. 4b can be seen that after tearing off a detachable bag section 22 along the line of weakness 20, the head fold 4 can be turned upwards, whereby then a particularly large removal opening 23 is formed, in which the reclosure strip 19a, 19b are arranged approximately in the form of a rhombus. To be able to close the removal opening 23 again, the head fold 4 is again folded in between the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2 and the reclosure strips 19a, 19b are locked together by manual pressure.
  • the Fig. 5 shows an alternative embodiment of a bag according to the invention in a view according to the Fig. 1 , As a difference, the in Fig. 5 shown stand-up pouch only one bottom fold 3, wherein at the bag head, the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2 are connected directly to each other. The exemplary illustrated and arranged in a corner region 11 of the bag head pouring element 12 is sealed between the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2 accordingly.
  • the further embodiment of the stand bag corresponds to the embodiment according to the Fig. 1 ,
