Definitions
- the invention is concerned with an activation unit for particular ammunition-free active materials or active bodies, for example for the formation of decoys.
- Sham targets and / or fog grenades based on, for example, red phosphorus (RP) or nitrocellulose (NC) are used in military applications, such as fog grenades, aircraft headlight targets operating with infrared (IR) etc.
- RP red phosphorus
- NC nitrocellulose
- the firing of RP units (active bodies) takes place via an igniting or disintegrating charge, which ensures that the bodies can optimally ignite for the respective purpose and thus burn off.
- the DE 10 2007 032 112 A1 describes a so-called jamming, which are fired from a launcher with several launch tubes. The launching is initiated electrically or mechanically. The sub-clocking for triggering the individual flashes of light is controlled by a device integrated in the electronics. To trigger the light or bursting bursts several sub-bodies are ignited timed clocked. For this purpose, these pyrotechnic igniter or ZerlegerA.
- a launcher for firing a plurality of active bodies draws the DE 199 10 074 B4 out.
- the active bodies that can be fired in this case each have a propellant charge with a lighter, such as a squib, which are in connection with a control unit of the adapter in the assembled state of the active body package and adapter.
- This new ignition concept will be published in the DE 10 2006 004 912 A1 described in more detail. It is a system known to protect, in particular, large-scale flying platforms, such as aircraft, IR or radar-directed threats.
- the activation or ignition of the active body preferably takes place without contact.
- the ejection of the active body is then carried out pneumatically or mechanically.
- the active bodies themselves are ammunition-free packages which are ignited by means of hot air or a laser.
- the invention has the object to show an activation unit that activates such active body to create decoys.
- the invention is the o. G.
- the idea is to activate (ignite) the active materials / flare material by supplying thermal energy. This avoids the use of explosives.
- the JP 11 173 796 A discloses a high temperature device for inflating flares to protect aircraft.
- the flares are incorporated in the container in powder form, which is introduced in a launcher.
- the powder is thermally heated, ie, the temperature of the powder is increased and measured.
- the container with the hot powder is ejected from the launcher.
- a high-frequency current is generated, which is supplied to a coil for generating a high-frequency field, so that the temperature of the powder mixture is increased by the high-frequency field.
- a controller monitors the output and provides a signal to the launcher to launch the container.
- JP 11 173 796 A is acted upon to activate the active body of this in a suitable form with thermal energy. This can be achieved by knocking the active body, which as a rule consists of individual flares, through an ignition tube for activation.
- the "ejection" can be pneumatic or mechanical.
- an ignition tube from which the active materials are ejected, has a high-temperature activation element, which consists essentially of n-heating elements, which are arranged radially separated from one another radially around the circumference of an ignition tube are.
- the geometry of the activation unit is not necessarily a circular cylinder.
- the heating elements can also be adapted to other geometries, for example to a rectangular cylinder.
- the material selection of the individual heating elements allows temperatures> 600 ° C, whereby the heating elements are designed so that they allow extremely dynamic heating due to low masses.
- the outer jacket of the heating wire of the heating elements preferably consists of a high-temperature-resistant steel with a high CrNi content.
- z. Ceramic inlays by minimizing heat losses for further thermal optimization.
- the heating elements are designed so that they ensure an ideal energy input into the active body for the application.
- the heating element can also z. B. with contact plates o. ⁇ . Be provided for better energy transfer.
- the number of heating elements used is arbitrary and therefore optional and can basically be made up in any form.
- the energy input can be ideally adjusted by selecting the number n of the heating elements and / or by an adapted control technology.
- the ignition of the active body by contact with the heating elements but also can be done without contact. For this it is possible to activate the active body in the "flyby".
- This form of activation allows the use of non explosive decoys in the civil environment, not only in civil aviation, but also in civilian naval and land vehicles.
- the design and safety requirements for decoys and dispensers without explosives are simpler, that is, much lower.
- the ignition unit or device allows a variety of ignitions, while the classic flares is intended for single use only.
- the extremely high CrNi content realizes high corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and higher wear resistance.
- the special sheathing and guidance of the elements ensures the watertightness of the heating elements.
- the sheathing is potential-free, so classic short-circuit bridges are excluded.
- a slight power adjustment by length change or simple circuit change of the heating elements is also possible.
- By a preferably multi-circuit current flow through the n-heating elements the reliability can be increased.
- the non-contact and flexible suspension / integration of the heating elements allows that only small losses occur and that a better contact can be created.
- the active body tolerances can be better compensated by clean management of the active body package.
- Fig. 1 1 is an activation unit in a sectional view.
- the high-temperature activation unit 1 consists essentially of an ejection tube 2, from which an active body 3 (not shown here) (FIG. Fig. 5 ) is ejected in the direction of arrow P.
- the ejection tube 2 is comprised on its inner side / surface of high-temperature heating elements 4, wherein each individual element 4 is formed from a heating wire 6, which protected against external influences enclosed in a jacket 7 and preferably in a heat loss minimizing material, preferably in a ceramic - Inlay 8, is embedded.
- the outer jacket 7 of the heating element 4 is in the preferred embodiment of a high temperature resistant steel with high CrNi-Aneil.
- the ceramics 8 are enclosed for mechanical relief in the metal structure of the ejection tube 2, wherein the metal structure corresponds to the outer shape of the active body 3, here a cylindrical shape. Alternative forms are also possible.
- the heating wires 6 are supplied by an appropriate control technology (not shown in detail) with the corresponding electrical energy and thereby heated to> 600 ° C.
- the ceramic inlays 8 in turn improve the energy balance of the respective heating element 4 and thereby ensures a more efficient energy input from the active body 3.
- Fig. 2 gives a variant of the arrangement and the structure in the ceramic inlay 8 embedded heating element 4 again.
- Fig. 3 gives a further variant of the activation unit 1 'with ejection tube 2' again.
- the heating wire surface is increased by at least one example soldered contact plate 13, whereby the contact surface of the heating wire 14 is increased to the active body 3.
- the ejection tube 2 ' has a thermal insulation 15, for example formed by one or more ceramic inlay (s).
- Fig. 4 shows another embodiment of the activation unit 1 "with ejection tube 2".
- short heating elements 10 are used similar to the previous one.
- Fig. 5 the structure of the active body 3 is shown. This is characterized by several Einzelflares 9.
- non-contact activation is also possible, as already mentioned, whereby it must be ensured that the individual flares 9 of the active body 3 ignite.

Description

Fig. 1 , - Fig. 3
- eine Variante des Aufbaus des Ausstoßrohre,
- Fig. 4
- eine weitere Ausführungsform des Ausstoßrohres,
- Fig. 5
- einen aus dem Ausstoßrohr zu befördernden Wirkkörper.
- In
- In
Fig. 5 ist der Aufbau des Wirkkörpers 3 aufgezeigt.
