Definitions
- the present invention concerns ovens for cooking food.
- Electric ovens use the heat generated by one or more electric resistances in order to heat the cooking chamber located inside the oven.
- Electric ovens are preferred because they are simple and safe to use and easily connected only to the electric power supply.
- Electric ovens allow thermo ventilated cooking, that is, cooking with forced air circulation inside the cooking chamber.
- Electric ovens which allow self-cleaning by pyrolysis through the increase of the temperature inside the cooking chamber up to values in the order of 400 0 C, so as to obtain the thermochemical decomposition of the residues of the organic materials of which the food that is cooked in the oven is made.
- the ovens used at present must be maintained at said high temperature for a lapse of time in the order of four hours.
- Steam ovens are known, that is, ovens where steam is forcibly conveyed into the cooking chamber. Said steam ovens make it possible to cook food preserving most of the nutritional elements that are destroyed by normal dry cooking.
- the subject of the present invention is a new steam-assisted multifunction pyrolytic oven.
- the new steam-assisted multifunction pyrolytic oven comprising at least one cooking chamber closed by a front opening door, a control panel for setting and controlling the operating status of the oven, a control circuit, at least one thermoelectric element suited to heat the cooking chamber, at least one tank for the water to be vaporized, at least one thermoelectric element suited to vaporize the water or another suitable liquid, at least one electric fan, at least one sensor suited to sense the temperature inside the cooking chamber.
- the thermoelectric elements suited to heat the cooking chamber are such as to heat said cooking chamber at least up to the pyrolysis temperature of the organic residues that may be present in said cooking chamber.
- thermoelectric elements suited to vaporize the water are such as to allow instantaneous or in any case quick vaporization of water or of the other liquids coming from the tank.
- One or more ducts are provided that are suited to convey the steam generated by said thermoelectric vaporization elements inside the cooking chamber of the new oven.
- the tank for the water or other liquids to be vaporized comprises an access opening, preferably on the oven's front, in order to allow said tank to be filled.
- Said tank comprises, furthermore, a duct with solenoid valve for introducing and conveying the water contained in the tank towards said thermoelectric vaporization elements.
- said tank may consist of a removable bottle or similar container, filled with water and/or another washing liquid and provided with a plug with valve.
- Said removable bottle or container is successively inserted in a specific housing in the oven provided with elements and ducts suited to convey the contents of the removable bottle or container into the vaporization chamber.
- the electric fan preferably comprises an electric motor coupled with a propeller or tangential fan. Said electric fan is suited to push the air heated by the thermoelectric elements into the cooking chamber. According to the invention, said electric fan may forcibly convey into the cooking chamber also the steam generated by the thermoelectric vaporization elements.
- the temperature sensor or sensors are intended to measure the temperature inside the cooking chamber and are located in a suitable position, for example on the internal surface of a side or upper wall of the cooking chamber itself or in contact with the external surface of one of the walls of the cooking chamber.
- the control circuit is connected to the thermoelectric elements, the temperature sensors, the electric fans, the control panel and any other electric/electronic parts of the oven.
- Said control circuit is conveniently set and programmed in such a way as to activate, jointly or separately, the various thermoelectric elements, fans, solenoid valves, and thus obtain various programmes for pre-heating, heating, temperature maintenance, controlled temperature decrease, generation and introduction of steam in the cooking chamber of the new oven.
- the new oven structured in this way offers considerable advantages.
- the new oven can carry out the pre-heating and/or controlled heating of the cooking chamber.
- the new oven can be heated and cook food at various temperatures and maintain said temperatures for the preset time or until the oven is stopped, in such a way as to cook the food contained in its cooking chamber.
- the new oven makes it possible to steam-cook the food contained in its cooking chamber by simply adding water in the special tank, if automatic feeding of the vaporization chamber is provided, or by introducing water in the special tank and setting the steam-cooking mode, so that the control circuit operates the solenoid valve of the tank and the thermoelectric vaporization elements.
- the new oven allows self-cleaning via pyrolysis to be carried out, bringing the temperature inside the cooking chamber to a suitable level and maintaining said temperature for the necessary time.
- the new oven allows self-cleaning with steam to be carried out by simply introducing water or water with the addition of other substances like for example vinegar, lemon juice or other liquids in the apposite tank.
- the cooking chamber is heated up to a suitable temperature, in the order of 80 ⁇ 100°C, and in any case below the pyrolysis temperature, and the vaporization function is activated.
- the steam obtained from water only, water with additions or other suitable substances is introduced in the cooking chamber, thus cleaning said cooking chamber.
- the new oven allows complete self-cleaning by pyrolysis only or through a treatment in combination with steam which takes less time compared to the conventional self-cleaning pyrolytic ovens.
- the use of steam thus allows complete cleaning by pyrolysis to be obtained in a much shorter time compared to the known self-cleaning pyrolytic ovens.
- the characteristics of the new oven that is the subject of the invention will be highlighted in greater detail in the following description, with reference to the drawing, given purely as an example without limitation.
- the attached drawing shows a schematic diagram of the new oven comprising a cooking chamber (1) with opening door (2), a control panel (3) for setting and controlling the operating status of the oven, a control circuit
- thermoelectric elements (5a, 5b) suited to heat the cooking chamber (1)
- a tank (6) suited to contain the water or liquid to be vaporized
- a thermoelectric vaporization element (7) suited to contain the water or liquid to be vaporized
- an electric fan (8) suited to drive the temperature inside the cooking chamber (1).
- (1) are positioned in proximity to the upper (Ia) and lower (Ib) wall of the cooking chamber (1), in such a way as to allow the uniform heating of the cooking chamber as well as the different types of cooking with heat from below, with heat from above for browning food, with alternated or combined heat from above and from below.
- the tank (6) is positioned above the cooking chamber (1) and its rear portion is provided with a duct (6.1) with solenoid valve (6.2) for the controlled outflow or dripping of the liquid contained in the tank (6).
- said duct (6.1) of the tank (6) ends above the thermoelectric vaporization element (7), preferably consisting of a toric electric resistance positioned behind said fan (8).
- the temperature sensor (9) is positioned on the rear wall (Ip) of the cooking chamber (1), above said opening (Ie).
- the control circuit (4) set by means of the above mentioned controls (3), controls the thermoelectric elements (5a, 5b, 7), the fan (8) and the solenoid valve (6.2) for the introduction of the liquid contained in the tank (6) and takes the temperature inside the cooking chamber (1) by means of said temperature sensor (9).
- the liquid contained in the tank (6) is dripped or at least conveyed on the thermoelectric vaporization element (7) and the steam produced in this way is forced inside the cooking chamber (1) by said electric fan (8). Therefore, with reference to the above description and the attached drawings, the following claims are expressed.
