Claims (8)

  1. A flat fireproof closure, in particular a glass door, for fire protection purposes for preventing the propagation of fire and smoke from a first room into an adjacent second room in case of fire, comprising a fire protection pane which, on at least one edge, carries a metal profile which partially overlaps the lateral faces of the fire protection pane and which is divided into two partial profiles spaced from each other in the area of the front face of the fire protection pane,
    characterized in that
    the two partial profiles (3, 4) are composed of:
    a. a simple metal strip (6) which is arranged on the associated lateral face of the fire protection pane (2) and the area of which that overlaps the fire protection pane (2) is glued to the fire protection pane (2), and
    b. a U profile (7) which is fastened to the inner side of the free portion of the metal strip (6) and the opening of which between the free legs (10) is directed inwards and which, together with the correspondingly opposite U profile, forms a space for receiving a dimensionally stable, insulating and fireproof workpiece (9), wherein the inserted fireproof workpiece (9) that is held by the U profiles (7) of the two partial profiles (3, 4) completely covers the front face of the fire protection pane.
  2. A closure according to claim 1, characterized in that the U profile (7) is fastened to the metal strip (6) by spot welding.
  3. A closure according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the fireproof workpiece (9) arranged between the partial profiles (3, 4) is designed in form of a hardwood slat extending over the entire length of the U profiles (7).
  4. A closure according to one of the claims 1 through 3, characterized in that the fireproof workpiece (9), in particular the hardwood slat, is screwed to the free legs (10) of the two U profiles (7).
  5. A closure according to one of the claims 1 through 4, characterized in that the two partial profiles (3, 4) together with the fireproof workpiece (9) that connects them form a circumferential supporting frame for the fire protection pane (2).
  6. A closure according to one of the claims 1 through 5, characterized in that a vertical strip made of a material (12) that foams under the influence of heat is arranged on the external front face, which strip is laterally covered by the metal strips (6) of the two partial profiles (3, 4).
