Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for cleaning and care of hooves or claws of livestock.
- the hooves or claws of livestock are very sensitive parts of the body due to permanent loading. In particular, moisture can lead to numerous diseases of the hooves or claws. Thus, the outbreak of the toe skin inflammation of cattle (Latin Dermatitis digitalis, also called after its discoverer Mortellaro) favors, for example, by acting on the claw bale moisture. For prophylaxis, a functional hoof care is of utmost importance. For diseased individuals, local treatment with antibiotic-containing sprays (e.g., oxytetracycline) is recommended; When a large proportion of diseased animals of a herd are recommended für pragmatic scheme.
- antibiotic-containing sprays e.g., oxytetracycline
- the object of the invention is to provide a device for ensuring adequate hygiene and cleanliness of hooves or claws of livestock, which enables safe disease prevention even in large herds and at the same time is operable with low labor costs.
- a tub is provided, over which a catwalk is arranged, on which the livestock can cross the trough, wherein in the area of the catwalk nozzles for spraying the hooves or claws are arranged with cleaning solution and that at the end of Catwalk at least one additional nozzle is provided which can be fed from a separate tank with fresh care solution.
- the invention is based on the recognition that fürtreibeklauenbäder require disease transmission within a herd, unless a bath change is very often, which is hardly possible in practice. Furthermore, it has been found within the scope of the invention that it makes sense to carry out the steps of cleaning the hooves or claws and their care one after the other.
- the device can be used by authorized persons, such as veterinarians, for the veterinary treatment of diseases of the hooves or claws.
- the means may be nozzles with a certain output direction.
- deflection devices for example in the form of baffles may also be present, through which the cleaning or care solution is directed in the corresponding direction.
- the claw gap is also flushed with the cleaning solution or the care solution.
- nozzles are disk nozzles.
- the plate nozzles make it possible to form a horizontal spray film, the hooves or the claws of the farm animal when running over the catwalk must cross several times, so that it is ensured that the bottom of the hooves or claws is cleaned and wetted with care solution ,
- nozzles are arranged centrally on the catwalk and spray to the outside.
- the device is arranged before or directly after the milking parlor.
- the device has a cleaning and a separate care area.
- a development of the invention is that the device has a separate from the cleaning and the care area preservation area.
- this is preferably spatially separated from the other two areas and the applied in this area preservation solution serves to extend the period of action of the care solution.
- the catwalk is formed as a grid, as a floor with columns for draining the liquids or as a closed bottom.
- the bottom is formed with columns or the closed bottom as a rubber floor, which has a profiling on its surface.
- FIG. 10 shows the drive-through bath according to FIG. 8 with care solution exiting from both side nozzles and also plate care nozzles arranged in the running plane.
- Figure 1 shows a fürtreibebad with lateral guides 1, 2 and a trough 3.
- Below the tub bottom 4 lateral cross member 5 are mounted to remove the loads when the animals run over a trained as a grid catwalk, which covers the tub 3. This designed as a grid catwalk will be further explained in connection with other drawings.
- Figure 2 shows the für treibebad of Figure 1 in a lateral section. In this case, the lateral guide 2 is no longer shown.
- Figure 2 shows the für treibebad in a view in the direction of the animals from diagonally behind.
- lateral nozzles 201 are provided through which a care solution for the hygienic care of the animals is issued.
- These nozzles 201 are advantageously mounted such that they are arranged above the walking plane of the animals.
- FIG. 3 shows the drive-through bath in the section according to FIG. 1 with a carrier 301 for a catwalk designed as a grid.
- This carrier 301 has side members 302 and cross member 303.
- the cross member stands on feet 304 of the tub bottom 4.
- the cleaning liquid is mixed in the tub 4 in the entrance area of the fürtreibebades with the care solution, which is introduced at the end of the fürtreibebades. This advantageously reduces the number of germs.
- FIG. 4 shows the drive-through bath according to FIGS. 2 and 3 with the catwalk 401 designed as a grid. It can be seen that holes are present in the catwalk 401. In these In the following, holes are placed on the plate nozzles for dispensing the cleaning solution as well as the care solution.
- Figure 5 shows the fürtreibebad of Figure 4 with the plate nozzles 501 and 502.
- the plate nozzles are advantageous in their design the same. However, it will be seen below that the cleaning solution is dispensed via the plate nozzles with the reference numeral 501 and the care solution via the plate nozzles with the reference numeral 502.
- FIG 6 shows the fürtreibebad according to Figure 5 with baffles 601 and 602. These baffles are arranged transversely to the direction of the animals and extend in the direction obliquely above. With the baffles 601, the plate nozzles 501 are covered and the baffle 602 a row of the plate nozzles 502nd
- the baffles 601, 602 protect on the one hand the plate nozzles from damage by the hooves or claws of the animals, because they would otherwise occur directly when running on the plate nozzles.
- the cleaning solution dispensed by the respective plate nozzles as well as care solution in the running direction of the animals are applied obliquely from behind, in particular also on the underside of the hooves or claws of the animals.
- a baffle 603 is still attached at the very end of the fürtreibebades, which also covers plate nozzles 502, is spent on the care solution.
- This guide plate 603 is also arranged transversely to the running direction of the animals, but extends counter to the direction of the animals obliquely behind. As a result, the care solution is discharged via the plate nozzles 502 at the very end of the drive-through bath diagonally behind.
- Figure 7 shows the fürtreibebad of Figure 6 with exiting cleaning solution 701.
- the cleaning solution 701 is applied via the plate nozzles partially directly in the direction of the animals from behind obliquely from below on the hooves or claws of the animals. As far as the cleaning solution is sprayed through the plate nozzles against the direction of the animals, This part of the cleaning solution is again deflected by the baffles 601 in the direction of the animals.
- Figure 8 shows the für treibebad of Figure 6 in a view in the direction of the animals from diagonally forward.
- the representation of FIG. 8 therefore corresponds to the representation of FIG. 6 from a different perspective.
- FIG. 9 shows the drive-through bath according to FIG. 8 with the care solution 801 emerging from the lateral nozzles 201 at the end of the drive-through bath.
- FIG. 10 shows the drive-through bath according to FIG. 8 with the care solution 901 exiting from the lateral nozzles 201 as well as with the plate nozzles arranged in the running plane, which are no longer visible in the representation of FIG. 10 because of the representation of the care solution 1001.
- the care solution 1001 is formed by the baffles 602 and 603 into a lake, through which the animals run at the end of the fürtreibebades.
- the cleaning and hygienic care of the hooves or claws takes place in two phases.
- the first phase is the cleaning and the second phase is the hygienic care.
- It can be realized through other nozzles at the outlet of the plant a third phase for a preservation.
- These phases are run through by the animals (such as dairy cows) one after the other.
- the system is advantageously integrated in the path between the box and the milking system, so that the care solution can act in the milking parlor while the milk cow is standing still, without being immediately eroded by the milking cow running around. If this is not possible, it has proved beneficial to place the system directly after the milking parlor
- the tread of the system which can be designed for example as a grid, is designed non-slip (for example, according to Class 13).
- a floor with columns for draining the liquids or a closed floor can also be provided.
- a rubber floor which preferably has a profiling on the surface.
- flushing over an obstacle (hoof or claw) achieves flooding.
- the catwalk runs in the longitudinal direction, parallel to the running direction of the animals.
- the distance of the longitudinal profiles is chosen so that a stable appearance of the claw or hooves is ensured. This proves to be advantageous in that the faeces of the dairy cows are basic and otherwise any tread may become slippery with an unsuitable surface structure, thus endangering the animals.
- the arrival and departure of the animals is realized by the smallest possible height differences in order to ensure a risk of injury by minimizing height differences. This is important because of the relatively high weight of the cows, especially during the descent, because the claws of the cows are then significantly more stressed.
- the first phase (cleaning) has the following characteristics:
- the claw and in particular the claw gap are rinsed out.
- the diseased areas or the places threatened by a disease are exposed and can then be supplied.
- the second phase (care) has the following characteristics:
- a spray solution which disinfects on the basis of hydrogen peroxide.
- the solution is completely biodegradable and not harmful to the animals and does not burden the animal products (milk, meat).
- a possible third phase (preservation) has the following characteristics:
- a spray solution is used which seals the surface on the basis of nanoparticles.
- the solution is completely biodegradable and not harmful to the animals and does not burden the animal products (milk, meat).
- phase 1 cleaning
- various design options for the system there are various design options for the system.
- washing nozzles can also be arranged for the cleaning, which inject a cleaning solution from the side.
- nozzles 201 corresponding to the representation of FIG. 2 are present for introducing the care solution as lateral nozzles.
- a plurality of these lateral nozzles are then also present for the introduction of the cleaning solution.
- washing nozzles may be formed as a plate nozzles, which are sunk in the grid and have a water outlet in the direction of the animals. According to the step length of the animals, these nozzles are arranged in the running direction at a distance of about 0.3 m - 0.5 m.
- the water outlet or the outlet of the cleaning solution is in each case semicircular in the direction of the animals.
- the washing nozzles can be arranged under sheets, which are mounted transversely to the direction every 0.3 m to 0.5 m. The sheets are illuminated from below and redirect the cleaning solution or the care solution accordingly in the direction of the animals.
- This embodiment has been explained in detail above in the figures.
- the intermediate gaps of the grid can also be designed with profile sheets.
- the washing nozzles for carrying out the phase 1 can advantageously be attached only at the beginning of the course and radiate in the direction of the animals.
- the water or the cleaning solution runs off only at the end of the route for the implementation of Phase 1 and also transports all animal excrement and dirt from the system via the flushing path.
- the intermediate gaps below the grating may be separated from each other in the longitudinal direction, in order to improve the removal of animal manure and dirt in the direction of the animal at the end of the route to carry out the phase 1.
- the system has a filter belt filter, which is preferably installed at the end of the system transversely to the direction of rotation and serves to discharge solids laterally.
- the filter belt filter can also be integrated into a separate container, which is used as a collection tank.
- the screen belt filter serves to separate the solids from the liquid, which makes it possible to circulate the liquid. In a circulation of the liquid with a correspondingly small amount of liquid, it is possible to drain the entire amount of liquid after milking and to use fresh water for the next cleaning and care sequence. The low overall consumption of fresh water and wastewater made possible by the recycling results in lower operating costs.
