  • the present invention relates to the technical field of urban planning and, more particularly, that of waste management in an urban environment. This management involves in particular a prior collection, or pre-collection.
  • the latter refers to all the transport and waste disposal operations, from their place of production, in particular housing, to the place of takeover by the public service, which ensures the actual collection.
  • the pre-collection of this waste is conventionally done by means of surface bins, which are emptied periodically by the public services.
  • JP-A-2004162288 describes a multi-storey car park, where waste from a neighboring building is pre-collected. This waste is then directed to a single collection point, namely the entrance floor of the vehicles.
  • the invention aims to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art mentioned above. It aims in particular to provide a device that allows to pre-collect the waste that is introduced reliably, effectively and more flexible than in the prior art. It also aims at such a device, which is advantageously in the global urban environment. Finally, it aims at such a device, which is simple maintenance and a reasonable manufacturing cost.

  • a second street strip 200 reserved for pedestrians, which is in this case a sidewalk allowing voluntary contributions for a pre-collection of waste according to the invention.
  • An intermediate band 300 is more specifically reserved for car parking, that is to say it defines three parking spaces P1, P2, P3, on each of which a car of usual dimensions can park transversely. In other words, the hood and trunk of this car are then turned respectively to the road and sidewalk.
  • the pre-collection device comprises several cells, six in number in the illustrated example. These cells, assigned references 11 to 16, are shown in phantom on the figure 1 . Each cell 11 to 16 extends, on the one hand, about half the transverse dimension, or width I P , of each of the parking spaces P1 to P3. Thus, the six cells side by side cover all of these three parking spaces P1 to P3. On the other hand, each cell 11 to 16 extends a distance slightly greater than the longitudinal dimension, or length L P , of each of these parking spaces P1 to P3.
  • These cells 11 to 16 are associated with six terminals 21 to 26 of waste introduction, and six traps 31 to 36 for the disposal of this waste. As will be seen in more detail below, these traps 31 to 36 can cooperate with a road vehicle, for the purpose of the collection of waste itself. With reference to the figure 4 , the distance D between each terminal 21 to 26 and the hatch 31 to 36 associated therewith, is advantageously between 5 and 7 meters, for this case where the cars are parked transversely to the direction of travel.
  • the terminals 21 to 26 are placed on the sidewalk 200, but may possibly be arranged on the intermediate band 300, in the immediate vicinity of the sidewalk 200 and without hindering the parking.
  • the hatches 31 to 36 are placed on the road 100, but may be optionally disposed on the intermediate band 300, in the immediate vicinity of the road 100 and without hindering the parking.
  • the terminals 21 to 26 between them and the traps 31 to 36 between them can be connected to have, superstructure, a single access point.
  • selectivity systems which are of a type known per se and are not shown in the figures, can perform this interface function, respectively with the pre-collection on the side of the terminals 21 to 26, as well as the collection from hatches 31 to 36.
  • the cells 11 to 16 have an upper wall formed by a single slab 40, the upper surface S defines the parking spaces P1 to P3, as will be explained in what follows.
  • the upper surface S defines the parking spaces P1 to P3, as will be explained in what follows.
  • the cell 11 firstly comprises a tank 111, made in particular of concrete, or steel.
  • This tank 111 comprises a bottom 112, two end walls 113 and 113 'respectively facing the road 100 and the sidewalk 200, and two side walls 114 and 114'.
  • the front wall 113 is inclined away from the road 100. This reduces interference with the buried urban network, which includes sensitive lines in terms of security.
  • the slab 40 which is common to all the cells 11 to 16 in the illustrated example, rests on them at the top of their different walls 113, 113 ', 114 and 114'. This slab 40 thus allows the formation of an interior volume V of the cell 11, substantially closed, which ensures the reception and temporary storage of waste, as will be seen below.
  • the terminal 21, of the usual type, comprises an inlet opening 26 'associated with an airlock 27, which are sized according to the nature of the waste stream they are intended to receive, for example glass (bottles or other ), paper or cardboard (newspapers, magazines, packaging ...), plastics (bottles, packaging %), other waste (residual garbage, food waste), etc.
  • this terminal 21 may include a visual identification means, to indicate to the user this type of waste, and a prepayment device.
  • additional equipment in particular at its outlet 28.
  • a tool for measuring the quantities deposited, or a sensor for detecting the compliance of the waste introduced It is also possible to install, in the vicinity of this outlet 28, conventional mechanical devices, such as grinders or knives, in order to modify the particle size and the density of the waste.
  • the internal volume V of the cell 11 is provided with a means for conveying the waste, making it possible to convey it from the right of the terminal 21, in the direction of the right of the hatch 31.
  • This conveying means There may be different possibilities as to the structure of this conveying means, which is not represented on the figure 2 .

  • Other possibilities can also be provided, such as a scraper piston, or a pneumatic conveying mode.
  • the hatch 31 may be of any suitable type, allowing easy opening to access the interior volume V.
  • This door 31 may be associated with additional means, ensuring in particular a seal between its periphery and a tubular or mechanical collection member mounted on a road vehicle.
  • the pre-collection device may comprise additional features, of a type known per se, which are not shown in the figures. There will be mentioned in particular a level probe with visualization on the surface, or even a possibility of remote reporting of information.
  • the manufacture of the pre-collection device according to the invention is described briefly, with reference to the figure 5 . It is first of all about realizing a excavation of the soil, so as to form a hole 70 of appropriate dimensions. Then, tanks 111 to 116 are reported from different cells 11 to 16, according to the arrow F. However, as an alternative, these tanks can be directly cast in place.

  • waste is taken out of the interior volume V, typically by a road truck.
  • this truck can be provided with a suction member, which is represented schematically on the figure 4 and which is assigned the reference 80.
  • This suction member 80 extends through the orifice defined by the door 31 in the open position of the latter. Waste collection W is indicated by the arrow f ' on this figure 4 .
  • the truck is positioned directly above the hatch 31 by covering it and the suction member 80 is substantially vertical, as will be described below with reference to the Figures 10 to 12 .
  • a mechanical means such as a bucket elevator, can be used to take the waste out of the volume V.
  • Any other suitable means for example of the pneumatic type, can also be used.
  • a first variant of the invention has been described above, in which the motor vehicles are parked transversely, with respect to the direction of road traffic.
  • the invention is also applicable to parking places called “ears", in which case the cells are also inclined, so as to be generally parallel to these places.
  • the distance between a terminal and an associated door corresponds to that D, given above with reference to the transverse parking.
  • the figure 7 illustrates another variant, in which the vehicles are parked "in long", namely parallel to the flow of traffic.
  • the pre-collection device according to the invention then comprises four cells, assigned references 11 'to 14 ', which are represented in phantom on this figure 7 .
  • each cell 11 'to 14' has dimensions smaller than those 11 to 16 of the first mode. Thus, each extends, on the one hand, about a quarter of the length L ' P of the place P'1, so that the four cells 11' to 14 'side by side cover the whole of this place . On the other hand, each cell 11 'to 14' extends over a distance slightly greater than the width P of this place.
  • These cells 11 'to 14' are associated with four terminals 21 'to 24' of waste introduction, and four traps 31 'to 34' of disposal of this waste, for their collection.
  • the distance D separating each terminal 21 'to 24' and the hatch 31 'to 34' associated therewith, is advantageously between 2 and 4 meters, in particular between 2.5 and 3 meters, for this case where the vehicles are parked longitudinally. , with reference to the direction of circulation.
  • the cells 11 'to 14' have an upper wall formed by a slab 40 ', the upper surface of which defines the parking space P'1.
  • the pre-collection device of the invention covers two adjacent longitudinal parking spaces, such as P'1 of the figure 8 . Six cells are then used, larger than those 11 'to 14', which can ensure the selective sorting of six types of waste.
  • the invention achieves the previously mentioned objectives.
  • the invention takes advantage of a storage capacity of waste whose volume is substantial, under the surface space dedicated to the parking of vehicles. This storage is further achieved while maintaining the functionality of the parking spaces and, therefore, any revenue associated with them.
  • the invention allows a collection, the implementation of which is independent of the moment when the waste is introduced, for temporary storage.
  • This collection is made at necessarily lower frequencies than in the prior art, because the volumes of temporary storage per cell are much larger, since they are advantageously between 3 and 25 m 3 .
  • This collection is also carried out without inducing any constraint on the pedestrian space or on the parking space of the vehicles.
  • the noise and odor type nuisances are substantially reduced. Indeed, the storage is buried, while the collection does not involve lifting and can be implemented in a generally sealed manner.
  • the invention is thus particularly advantageous in terms of general respect for urban planning. It promotes the management of waste by municipalities, reducing the number of tours, allowing collection at free times and maintaining the overall urban aesthetics.
  • the invention finally authorizes the selective sorting of a large number of different wastes. In this respect, it eliminates rolling bins and surface containers, the use of which is particularly tedious for the treatment of a large number of different flows.

  • the rods 61 to 63 are set in motion to advance this waste towards the hatch 31, in this case from left to right on the figure 8 .
  • the rods 61 to 63 are advanced in relatively small steps, all together towards the outlet (trap 31 on the right) and separately from each other towards the inlet (terminal 21 on the left) for a return to position.
