Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a plastic clip for fixing an object in the region of a front side of a flat workpiece, having a base portion whose shape is adapted to the front side, with a first and a second leg extending from the base portion and with the base portion of a U Form, and with a fastening portion which is connected to the base portion and adapted to fix the object to the clip, wherein the legs are elastically expandable against each other.
  • plastic clips for secure attachment of cables (pipes, electrical cables, Bowden cables, etc.) or harnesses, plugs, sensors, etc. on faces or edges of workpieces are known, the plastic clips have an integrated metal clip.
  • the workpieces can be made smooth in the area of the front side, as is the case for example with body panels, plastic edges of bumpers, covers, Radlaufschalen and glass workpieces.
  • These plastic clips are preferably used in the field of instrument panels of motor vehicles, in water tanks and in the interior area (for example in the door area), in the exterior area and in the engine compartment of motor vehicles.
  • the metal clips of the known plastic clips have a metal spring claw, which claws on attachment of the plastic clip to the surface of the workpiece.
  • this type of fastening has the disadvantage that the surface of the workpiece can be damaged (for example, in the case of galvanized or painted sheet metal edges). This can already happen when pressing or striking the plastic clips through the metal spring claw. This can lead to corrosion problems.
  • these known plastic clips have the disadvantage that they can be disassembled only relatively expensive. It is sometimes necessary to destroy the plastic clip. Overall, it is a relatively expensive fastening solution.
  • the object of the invention to provide a clip for fixing the object in the region of an end face of a flat workpiece, which does not damage the surface of the workpiece and can be assembled and disassembled comparatively easily. Nevertheless, a secure hold of the plastic clips on the workpiece should be feasible, and the plastic clip should preferably be made purely of plastic.
  • a plastic clip having the features of claim 1.
  • the base portion and the legs are made in one piece from a first, relatively hard plastic material.
  • an anti-slip portion made of a relatively soft plastic material is provided.
  • the anti-slip portion allows on the one hand, that the plastic clip can be securely fixed to the workpiece.
  • the anti-slip section can ensure that the surface of the workpiece is not damaged.
  • the relatively soft plastic material which is preferably a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE)
  • TPE thermoplastic elastomer
  • the base portion and the legs are made in one piece from the first, relatively hard plastic material.
  • the plastic clip can be produced from a few components or components.
  • an anti-slip section is likewise provided on the base side of the base section facing the legs. This also makes it possible to increase the security of the fastening, since a relatively high friction can also be established between the end face of the workpiece and the anti-slip section on the bottom side of the base section.
  • a plastic clip described above can be sufficient to realize a secure fit on the front side of the workpiece.
  • a lever is rotatably mounted, which is pivotable between a clamping position and a release position and a clamping portion which extends in the clamping position of the lever in an area between the legs and in the Release position is withdrawn from the area between the legs.
  • the plastic clip with the lever in the release position can be relatively easily mounted on the workpiece. Subsequently, it can be achieved by pivoting the lever in the clamping position, that the bias of the elastically expandable leg is further increased. As a result, the seat of the plastic clip on the workpiece can be further improved.
  • leg, on which the lever is rotatably mounted has a recess through which the clamping portion can extend into the region between the legs.
  • the clamping portion can be supported approximately symmetrically on the associated leg to set the clamping position. In this way, the correct fit of the plastic clip on the workpiece can be further improved.
  • the anti-slip portion covers the recess on the inside of the leg, so that the clamping portion can press the anti-slip portion in the clamping position against the workpiece.
  • the lever in the clamping position can increase the friction between the anti-slip portion and the surface of the workpiece.
  • the plastic clip can be disassembled relatively easily. This can be done by the lever is pivoted from the clamping position back to the release position. As a result, the seat between the plastic clip and the workpiece is loosened, so that the plastic clip can then be relatively easily removed from the workpiece, in particular without destroying the plastic clips.
  • lever is rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation, which is aligned approximately parallel to the associated leg.
  • the axis of rotation comparatively simple structurally set up on the leg, in particular from injection molding technical point of view.
  • the axis of rotation is oriented transversely to a longitudinal direction in which the legs extend from the base section.
  • the lever can consequently be actuated substantially in the longitudinal direction, so that, at least in the clamping position, a relatively compact outer contour of the plastic clip results.
  • interfering contours can be largely avoided, which could pose a risk of accidental release of the plastic clips.
  • the anti-slip portion is formed directly on the inside of the legs.
  • the plastic clip has an outer portion, which forms the base portion and the legs, and an inner portion, which is also formed of a relatively hard plastic material, wherein the anti-slip portion is formed on the inner side of a leg of the inner portion.
  • the plastic material of the inner portion may be identical to the plastic material of the outer portion, but may also be formed differently thereto.
  • the inner portion may be formed in the simplest case also U-shaped with an inner base portion and inner legs, which are encompassed by the legs of the outer portion.
  • the inner portion may also consist only of legs which are formed as a carrier for the anti-slip portions.
  • the inner legs which are not interconnected with one another, can be coupled in a release state, for example, with the respective legs of the outer section.
  • the outer portion and the inner portion may perform different functions in this embodiment, as will be described below for various different embodiments.
  • the outer portion is movable relative to the inner portion in a clamping direction to move the plastic clip from a release state to a clamping state in which the outer portion exerts a pressing force in a direction toward the workpiece toward the inner portion from outside ,
  • the outer portion and the inner portion are in the release position in such a relative position that a sliding of the plastic clips on the workpiece is relatively simple, the respective anti Sliding section thus still has substantially no increased friction effect with respect to a surface of the workpiece. Therefore, the plastic clip can be mounted with low mounting forces.
  • the outer portion After the relative movement and in the clamping state, the outer portion exerts a pressing force on the inner portion in the direction toward the workpiece. As a result, the coefficient of friction between the anti-slip portion and the surface of the workpiece is increased. As a result, the peel force necessary to peel the plastic clip from the workpiece is increased. This increases the mounting security.
  • clamping direction is substantially parallel to the extension of the legs.
  • the clamping direction can be aligned transversely to a direction in which the inner portion is pushed onto the workpiece. Of particular preference, however, it is when the clamping direction is aligned parallel to such a mounting direction.
  • the assembly is generally carried out so that first the inner portion is pushed in the mounting direction on the end face of the workpiece. Subsequently, the outer portion is moved in the same direction relative to the inner portion to establish the clamping state.
  • a locking device is provided in order to lock the outer section in the clamping state on the inner section.
  • the locking device can generally be formed by a further component.
  • the locking device is designed as a latching device.
  • the locking can be done by a locking engagement between the outer portion and the inner portion.
  • the latching device may have a latching lug or a plurality of latching lugs, either on one or on both legs of the outer portion and / or the inner portion.
  • the latching device on a latching lug or a plurality of latching lugs, which are arranged one behind the other in the clamping direction.
  • the outer portion can be fixed in different relative positions on the inner portion.
  • the latching noses are arranged along a cone line which is aligned at an angle greater than zero with respect to the clamping direction.
  • the plastic clip for mounting on workpieces of different thickness.
  • the outer portion is pushed relatively far with respect to the inner portion, so that the legs of the inner portion are compressed relatively far due to the cone action.
  • the amount of relative movement may be smaller.
  • the contact pressure can also be adjusted by the cone arrangement of the latching section.
  • the outer portion and the inner portion are produced as separate components, which are locked against each other only in the clamping state.
  • the coupling device by means of a film hinge via which the outer section and the inner section are coupled to one another in the preassembly position (release state).
  • the film hinge is broken in Kochen the plastic clips in the clamping state.
  • the outer portion and the inner portion are locked against each other in the pre-assembly, that is in the release state.
  • the outer portion and the inner portion can be made separately from each other, especially from different materials.
  • the inner portion may be formed in two-component injection molding with the anti-slip portion. The coupling in the preassembled state then takes place by latching the outer section to the inner section.
  • a leg of the outer portion and a leg of the inner portion are connected to each other via a Parallelogrammversatzabêt.
  • the parallelogram offset portion may connect respective ends of the legs of the outer portion and the inner portion, such that in a pre-assembly position the parallelogram offset portion is inclined with respect to the leg extension. Then, when the outer portion is moved in the clamping direction relative to the inner portion, this leads to a "Erecting" the Parallelogrammversatzabiteses, whereby the legs of the outer portion and the legs of the inner portion are widened in the direction transverse to the clamping direction against each other. As a result, in the clamping state, an increased pressure force can be exerted on the inner section from the outer section, specifically via the parallelogram offset section.
  • the inner portion is pivotably mounted about a pivot axis on the outer portion.
  • the pivot axis may, for example, be arranged in the region of a free end of a leg of the outer portion.
  • the pivot axis extends in a direction parallel to the leg extension, but transversely to the clamping direction. Also in this embodiment can be increased by pivoting the inner portion about the pivot axis, a contact pressure of the inner portion of the workpiece.
  • the plastic clip is made with the base portion and the legs of the relatively hard plastic material and the anti-slip portion of relatively soft plastic material in the two-component injection molding process.
  • the plastic clip is integrally formed with the anti-slip portion and thus can be easily handled and stored.
  • the anti-slip portion can be produced at least with the inner portion in the two-component injection molding process.
  • the inner portion and the outer portion may be integrally formed with each other (for example, coupled by a living hinge). at However, in other embodiments, the inner portion and the outer portion may also be made of different components.
  • a two-component injection molding process is preferably understood to mean that the plastic clip is produced in a single tool, wherein in a first working step the relatively hard plastic material is injected to form the base section and the leg. In a second step, using the same tool, the second plastic material is injected to form the anti-slip portion.
  • the attachment portion is formed integrally with the base portion and the legs of the relatively hard plastic material.
  • the attachment portion can be integrally integrated into the plastic clip.

  • At least one radially outwardly extending stiffening rib is formed on the outside of the legs and / or the base portion.
  • the strength of the plastic clip can be increased.
  • the stiffening rib can be used to reduce the elasticity with which the legs can be bent relative to the base section.
  • the stiffening rib can also serve to fasten the fastening section more solidly or on a larger area to the base section.
