Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the amounts for the production of frames of sliding windows of buildings including doors, windows, French windows or the like which find a particularly advantageous application in the case of amounts for the realization of frames bays when the closures comprise the least two bays located in the same plane, and even more advantageously when at least one of the bays is sliding relative to the other, see US 3136396 A and FR 2379690 A1 .
  • the amounts of the frames that surround them may not be very large, but the overall thickness of all of these two frames is relatively important since they consist of at least two juxtaposed profiles each having a thickness substantially equal to that of an amount for two bays in the same plane.
  • the total width of the amount is at least equal to twice that of the amount for the realization of two bays in offset, which causes a significant occultation of the light from the outside to the inside, and in addition creates losses not insignificant thermal.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide an amount for a sliding frame of a building closure, in particular for a door, window, French window or the like, which finds a particularly advantageous application in the case of amounts for the production of frames of berries located in the same plane, and even more advantageously when at least one is sliding relative to the other, which overcomes the drawbacks mentioned above amounts of the prior art and whose structure allows in addition to reducing the cost of manufacturing closures of this type.

  • the term "profile” is used. This term must be understood as designating any elongated body of cylindrical shape, of revolution or not, in any material, generally made of metal, formed of a set of flat walls and / or open and / or closed curves whose edges are all parallel to each other, constituting generatrices of the cylindrical form which are based on a director defined preferably in a plane perpendicular to these generatrices, emphasizing that this director may also have any shape hereinafter referred to as "cross-section profile ".
  • These profiles, generally but not exclusively aluminum, are generally obtained by extrusion.
  • the term "bay” is also used. This term should be understood as designating any panel capable of being mounted in a frame generally made of a profile assembly, designed to obscure the interior space of the frame. Such a panel can be mounted fixed or sliding, be opaque or transparent to let a maximum of light. In the latter case, which is the most common, the panel is most commonly known in the terminology of "double-glazing" (or even triple-glazing), consisting of two windows separated by a gas layer and having a joint making all around the two windows to confine the gas layer in a sealed volume. These panels are mounted in frames consisting of uprights made by a profile assembly.
  • width and thickness of profiles designate, in the sense of the present description, distances defining these profiles respectively in a direction parallel to the plane of the bay and perpendicular to its edge, and a direction perpendicular to the plane of this bay.
