Definitions

  • the invention relates to a knife according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a knife is known from the DE 197 23 279 ,
  • the knife has a blade holder mounted so as to be translationally displaceable in the knife housing and which can be moved by means of a handle between a rear position and a front position.
  • a knife is known in which the blade holder is movable by an actuating element from a safety position to a first cutting position.
  • a support member secured to the actuator is in engagement with the housing.
  • a cutting force of the blade holder is movable to a second cutting position. The movement into the second cutting position of the engagement of the support member is released.
  • the blade carrier performs a complex movement when moving to the first cutting position.
  • a knife in which the blade holder is movable by a cutting force from a first cutting position to a second cutting position.
  • a support member secured to the blade carrier engages the housing by movement from the first cutting position to the second cutting position.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a knife that in terms of its safety, as well as the manufacturability and its Functionality represents another advantageous alternative. Furthermore, it is an object of the invention to provide a knife that allows a compact design.
  • the principle of the invention is that the blade holder is movable with an actuator from a safety position, in which the blade is retracted into the housing inaccessible to the user, to a cutting position in which the blade protrudes from the blade housing.
  • the blade holder is translationally movable and rotatably mounted. Due to the rotatable mounting of the region of the actuator, which cooperates with the blade holder, perform a complex movement, for example, has movement components in two spatial directions. It can be, for example, a composite movement of a pivoting movement and a translational movement act.
  • the area of the operating member which cooperates with the blade holder is thus not limited to a straight-line movement, as was the case in the prior art.
  • the actuator may, for example, perform a pivotal movement, wherein the cooperating with the actuator blade holder performs a pivoting movement and a linear movement.
  • the actuating device comprises at least one handle.
  • the actuator comprises e.g. at least one actuating element for actuating the blade holder.
  • the actuator is e.g. movable with the handle from a basic position to a first pivot position.
  • the handle is e.g. moved from an unactuated to an actuated position to move the actuator from the home position to the first pivot position.
