Definitions

  • the invention relates to a crimping tool with crimping dies, wherein the crimping dies are arranged in a star shape directed onto a crimping area and are rotationally urged radially to the crimping movement by means of a biasing member, wherein the crimping dies are further mounted for pivoting about an axis of rotation transversely to their longitudinal extent and crimping range of the axis of rotation an investment area form.
  • Such a crimping tool is for example from the EP 0 732 779 B1 known.
  • the crimping dies are shown in contact with each other in their contact area. This is also a preferred state. Due to the geometric boundary conditions, however, a relatively large gap between crimped areas of the crimping dies is given in the course of the pivoting movement and also at the end of the pivoting movement. In this case, relatively large means that in the course of a crimping process unwanted distortions, ie penetration or protrusion of the crimped article into the gap, can result in the crimping area. This can lead to disturbing formations on the crimp area of a crimped wire end which is as exact as possible in accordance with the crimping surfaces. Furthermore, the state of the art on the US 5,261,263 A1 to refer.
  • the invention is concerned with the task of specifying a crimping tool, in which it does not come as possible in the course of crimping to gaps between the Crimpstempeln.
  • Other aspects are given in view of further features of the invention, as explained below. They may be independent, also replacing, but also supplementary, in relation to the aforementioned task of importance.
  • a possible solution of the above-formulated object is given by a first inventive concept by the subject of claim 1, which is in this case based on the fact that the rotational movement of the crimping a radial and / or circumferential movement is superimposed to achieve a plant of a crimping die in his investment area at the opposite investment area of a crimping die adjacent to this crimping die in the pivoting direction or counter-pivoting direction.
  • a crimping stamp is thus not only panned. He is also also moved radially.
  • a circumferential movement may be provided, for example, in that the (instantaneous) pivot point of the crimping die moves in the circumferential direction in the course of the pivoting movement.
  • the crimping dies form, radially inward, a crimping space which decreases in the course of the crimping movement.
  • the crimping space is ideally a room with a circular cross-section. In reality, this is approximated by a polygonal cross section.
  • This crimp space accordingly causes a polygonal cross section of the workpiece to be crimped.
  • the described installation of the crimping die causes an effective closure of this crimping space, at least in the decisive phase of the rotary movement of the crimping dies, when plastic deformation of the workpiece occurs. As a result, a workpiece is prevented from penetrating into the contact gap between the crimping dies. The workpiece is prevented from breaking out of the polygonal cross section.
  • the crimping die is designed like a handlebar or guided by a handle about a rotation axis is to pivot outside of its longitudinal center.
  • This embodiment is based on the more general teaching to find the largest possible radius for the pivoting movement of the crimping die. Due to the handlebar guide or handlebar training, it is achievable that the center of rotation of the pivotal movement of the crimping die is displaced favorably to the outside. Optionally, beyond the radially outer end of the crimping die and optionally the housing also.
  • a large radius of the pivoting movement can be achieved, that in the course of pivoting the pivoting pistons, due to lack of other measures, necessarily resulting changing gap width in the possible investment areas remains so low that the undesired breaking out of the workpiece from the crimp space resulting in gaps can be avoided ,
  • the radial movement is supported by a force storage.
  • This energy storage is further preferably provided so that it constantly advances or biases the crimping die in the radially innermost position.
  • the energy storage may be given by a spring.
  • a crimping stamp prefferably received radially on the outside in a form-locking pocket and for the form-fitting pocket to have an oblique surface which interacts with a circumferentially pointing control extension of the crimping die in such a way that the crimping punch is moved radially.
  • handlebar guide can be provided that the crimping punch is actuated by means of a handlebar which is rotatably mounted on the one hand to the crimping die and on the other hand to the loading member.
  • the support of the link to the biasing member may in particular be made radially outwardly of a radially outer end of the crimping die. It is also preferred that the handlebar is supported on the crimping die radially outside the axis of rotation of the crimping die. On the other hand, such a configuration is possible in which the link is supported on the crimping die radially within the axis of rotation.
  • two links are provided, wherein one of the links is supported on the one hand on the crimping die and on the other hand on a fixed bearing.
  • the other link can then be on the admission part be supported, so that over this the pivoting movement and optionally radial movement is achieved.
  • the crimping die is guided to form a virtual axis of rotation by means of two fixed pivots which cooperate with oblong holes.
  • the fixed pivot can hereby be formed on the crimping die and the slots fixed to the housing. The reverse training is just as possible.
  • the fixed pivot pin on the crimping die and the slots fixed to the housing but be formed on both sides with respect to a pivot axis of the crimping die.
  • the crimping die itself can also be rotatably mounted at its radially outer end region by means of a journal journal received in it.
  • End region here is in particular a radially outer third of the crimping die or a smaller part such as a quarter or a tenth of the total radial extent of the crimping punch given in this respect.
  • a crimping die cooperates with relative rotation in the longitudinal direction (radial direction) during rotation in the pivoting-in direction with a control journal arranged between its end regions, that is to say the radially outer and the radially inner end region.
  • the end regions here are the same regions as explained above with regard to the radially outer end region. The mentioned possible lengths do not always have to be the same.
  • control pin provides as it were a stop function for the crimping die in the relevant direction and at the same time also an alignment function.
  • the control pin may preferably be arranged outside the crimping die. However, it can also be arranged inside the crimping die, for example in a slot formed there.
  • a cooperation surface formed on the crimping die for cooperation with the control pin is formed to be curved. This is a curvature which the control pin "experiences" in the course of its travel along the crimping die during the relative movement mentioned.
  • a further preferred embodiment which has particular significance irrespective of a possible radial and / or circumferential movement and / or a handlebar guide of the crimping dies, is given by the fact that the crimping dies are designed to be interlocking in their abutment region. This can be achieved, for example, in that the crimping dies mesh in a comb-like manner, that is, in several layers. This also can be counteracted by an undesirable influence of the Crimpletss by a gap formation.
  • a further preferred embodiment which in any case, in particular irrespective of a possible radial and / or circumferential movement and / or a handlebar guide of the crimping dies has significance, is given by the fact that the crimping dies are acted upon radially inward in the sense of a linear movement and over a part of their movement in a contact area contiguous radially inward process. This part of the movement is in particular a last part of the movement radially inward. For example, a tenth or more of the total movement. The plant can also run over a third, half or even the entire movement contiguous.
  • superimposed on the linear movement is given radially inward movement in the circumferential direction.
  • This may suitably be provided, for example, by underneath or upper side, cooperating with a hard disk, formed on the crimp punches, which have a corresponding section in the circumferential direction and in which elongated holes then fixed pins run. Accordingly, this may also be provided vice versa in terms of fixed and movable.
  • a bottom plate forming a base plate may be provided.
  • the lower plate can be firmly connected to a central guide projection or even formed integrally therewith.
  • a centric guidance of the rotary plates can be achieved.
  • a centric guidance of the crimping dies themselves are no longer adequately centered by their actual bearing point, based on the crimping area.
  • the plate designated here as a driving plate is preferably guided by the guide projection.
  • a crimping tool considered here has grip parts 1 and 2.
  • the handle part 2 is a movable handle part. It is rotatable to form a toggle lever about the axes 3 and 43.
  • a toggle action is achieved.
  • Via the axis 3, a connection with a driving plate 4 is realized in the form-fitting pockets 5 are formed for ends 6 of the crimping die 7.

  • a crimping punch in the pivoting direction has a further counter-abutment region 10, against which in turn abuts an adjacent crimping punch. It is preferred that in any case the contact area 9 is closed as possible, d. H. especially in the course of higher applied forces no or only a small gap is formed.
