- The rail vehicle according to one of claims 2 and 3 wherein the braking means comprise trigger means (13) triggering the locking means, the trigger means being arranged to move the locking means (17, 21) to their unlocking position when the laying and maintenance machine is positioned on the support portion, and to move the locking means (17, 21) to their locking position when the laying and maintenance machine is removed from the support portion.
- The rail vehicle according to one of claims 1 to 4 comprising a supporting frame (3) connected to two side members (4, 4') each comprising rolling means (5) arranged to rest on a rail of the railway.
- The rail vehicle according to claims 4 and 5 wherein the trigger means comprise a hinge (13) at each side member (4, 4') each hinge (13) comprising a first plate (14) secured to the corresponding side member and a second plate(15) secured to the supporting frame (3), the first and second plates being hinge mounted relative to one another between a first position in which the locking means (17, 21) are moved to their locking position and a second position in which the locking means (17, 21) are moved to their unlocking position.
- The rail vehicle according to claim 6 wherein the rolling means (5) of at least one side member (4) comprise a roller (5) or wheel comprising a notch (22), and wherein the locking means comprise at least one locking finger (21) arranged to cooperate with the notch (22) provided on the corresponding roller so as to block the rotation thereof.
- The rail vehicle according to claim 7 wherein the locking means comprise at least one locking member (17) secured to the locking finger (21), the locking member being pivot mounted on one of the plates (14) of the corresponding hinge (13) about a pin (18) substantially parallel to the pin (16) of the hinge, the locking member (17) being arranged to pivot about its pin (18) when the two plates of the corresponding hinge (13) are moved between their first and second positions.
- The rail vehicle according to one of claims 6 to 8 wherein the locking member (17) comprises a lever-forming portion (19) intended to cooperate with the plate (15) of the corresponding hinge (13) opposite the one on which it is pivot mounted, the lever-forming portion (19) being arranged to cause the locking member (17) to pivot about its pin (18).
- The rail vehicle according to one of claims 6 to 9 wherein return means (23) are arranged between the two plates (14, 15) of at least one of the hinges, the return means being arranged to return the two corresponding plates (14, 15) to their first position.
- The rail vehicle according to one of claims 7 to 10 comprising return means (24) arranged to return the locking finger (21) to the locking position of the rolling means (5).
