Definitions

  • the invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock, with a locking mechanism with a catch and pawl, and with a locking unit which at least in its "locked” position suppresses or prevents an automatic opening of the locking mechanism.
  • the usually automatic opening of the locking mechanism is achieved or shown that the catch is regularly transmitted spring assisted in its open position as soon as the pawl is lifted from the catch.
  • the coupling nose of the coupling lever remains in the aforementioned coupling catch of the rotary latch.
  • the coupling catch is designed so that after lifting the pawl from the main locking position of the rotary latch by a reversal of rotation of the motor drive coupled to the clutch carrier via the clutch lever rotary latch is adjusted by motor to its open position.
  • the invention is based on the technical problem of further developing such a motor vehicle door lock in a functionally simple manner so that at least the "locked" position of the locking unit can be represented easily and with simple means.
  • a supplementary incident or already sunken auxiliary pawl prevents the automatic opening of the locking mechanism.
  • the already sunken or incidental additional pawl ensures that the position "locked” of the locking mechanism is taken reliably and reliably. Because with the help of the additional pawl, the automatic opening of the locking mechanism is at least then prevented when the pawl is lifted from the catch or is and the position "locked" of the locking mechanism or the locking unit to be displayed.
  • the invention in the "locked" position of the locking unit does not specifically prevent lifting of the pawl of the rotary latch. Rather, the locking unit according to the invention allows virtually the same functionality in position “locked” as in the position "unlocked”. With the only difference that the incident in the locking position additional pawl prevents the automatic opening of the locking mechanism.
  • the automatic opening of the locking mechanism usually corresponds to the fact that the rotary latch is acted upon by means of a spring in the direction of its open position. As soon as the pawl is thus lifted from the catch, the catch moves directly into its open position and releases a previously captured by her lock pin, so that an associated vehicle door can be opened.
  • the at least one additional pawl is provided according to the invention. This usually falls into the catch or the locking mechanism when the pawl is lifted from the catch. But it is also possible that the question pawl in question has previously fallen into the catch or the locking mechanism.

This is the usual locking function. As well, it is conceivable to let the additional pawl then fall into the catch when the locking should be opened by means of an internal operating lever. As a result, an anti-theft function can be additionally implemented. In other words, all common locking functions and anti-theft functions can be defined by the interaction between the auxiliary pawl and the pawl with the self-opening rotary latch.

  • a particularly compact and cost-effective solution is provided because no separate additional pawl is realized, but rather the usually already existing Zuziehklinke the function of the additional pawl takes over.
  • This Zuziehklinke is usually part of a Zuzieh coupled, which transfers the locking mechanism into the main closed position or main latch position when the pawl has fallen, for example, in a pre-catch of the catch.
  • the opening of the locking mechanism is conventional, namely by the already mentioned spring, which acts on the catch in the opening sense.

  • the rotary latch During a closing operation of the rotary latch, it is pivoted so that the pawl initially falls into its pre-rest. This process is usually performed by an operator who closes the associated motor vehicle door, so that the locking pin transfers the locking mechanism into its pre-locked position. Through this process, the closing device is set in motion.
  • the closing device now ensures, with the closing pawl applied to the rotary latch, that the locking mechanism or the catch from the prelocking position or Vorrast ein is transferred to the main closed position or main detent position.
  • the closing device works even further, by bringing the rotary catch or the locking mechanism into its so-called overstroke position. In this overstroke position, the pawl can be easily lifted off the catch and apply to this, without any functional impairments are to be feared. • the additional pawl or closing pawl is left in the position "lock on” or “theft protection on” in its position in contact with the rotary latch (and after the closing process) in contrast to the prior art. According to the invention, however, the closing pawl is fixed as an additional pawl in contact with the rotary latch, advantageously in overstroke position of the rotary latch.
  • the catch can not be automatically transferred to its "open" position, at least not as long as the closing pawl or additional pawl ensures that the catch is fixed in the overstroke position according to an advantageous embodiment. Only when the additional pawl or Zuziehklinke is lifted from the catch by a corresponding unlocking command, this is able to pivot, for example, in the main latching position with sunken pawl spring-assisted, so that can then be provided with lifted pawl for opening the locking mechanism.

This is achieved by means of a control unit 6 which software-technically distinguishes the closing function and the locking function or theft prevention function from each other.

To close the locking mechanism 1, 2 dives a locking pin S in a jaw of the catch 1 and moves it counterclockwise about its axis A until the pawl 2 is incident in the pre-catch 8 on the catch 1. • the lever 4 With the help of the motor drive 5, the lever 4 is now counterclockwise pivoted about the axis A at Zuziehklinke 3 fallen into the closing latch contour 11.
  • the catch 1 follows this pivotal movement counterclockwise about the axis A.
  • the pawl 2 then falls into the main catch 9 a.
  • the rotary latch 1 is then further pivoted about the main catch 9 with the help of Zuzieh sensory 3, 4, 5, 6 about the axis A in the counterclockwise direction until an overstroke Ü beyond the main catch 9 is reached.
  • the control unit 6 now ensures that the additional pawl or closing pawl 3 remains in contact with the catch 1 or invades the additional pawl contour 11 unchanged and retains this position. As a result, the catch 1 can not be opened, and not even when the pawl 2 is lifted from the catch 1. In this way, different locking functions can be defined, for example "lock on” or "anti-theft lock on”. Because each actuation of an external actuating lever and / or also internal actuating lever leads to the fact that the pawl 2 is lifted from the rotary latch 1. However, this procedure remains ineffective because the catch 1 remains unchanged with the help of the additional pawl or Zuziehklinke 3 Kochhub ein Ü. Of course, instead of the overstroke position Ü the catch 1 can also be fixed in any other position. It is also conceivable, for example, a fixation in the main position.
