Description

The invention relates to a film packaging bag having a front wall, a rear wall, a head portion closed by a transverse seam, and a tearable removal area which extends on one side of the film packaging bag from a first longitudinal side to the head portion.

A film packaging bag with the described structure is particularly suitable for the packaging of bulk materials. In addition to pelleted pet food as packaging goods, for example, detergents, cat litter, road salt and powdery or granular building materials into consideration, with the arranged in a corner of the film packaging bag removal area a dumping of the packaged goods is possible. In particular, in large containers often only a subset should be removed, in which case a certain protection against environmental influences is desired for the remaining after a first opening in the film packaging bag. If the removal of subsets is provided, usually also an easy handling and the possibility of an accurate dosage is desired.

From the publication DE 10 2006 029 119 A1 is a gusseted bag according to the preamble of claim 1, in which below a head portion with a top seal a reclosure is provided on one of the gussets. After the separation of the head section, the reclosed side gusset may abut their upper end are folded out to form a chute. After removal of a portion of the bulk material, the gusset is folded back and the reclosure locked, thereby protecting the bag contents. A similar embodiment of a foil packaging bag is also from the WO 2004/092025 A2 known, but a locking of the closure elements is provided in the unfolded state of the gusset. By arranging a reclosing device formed by profiled strips, the production of the described foil packaging bags is complex and correspondingly expensive. In particular, if prefabricated film packaging bags are to be kept ready for a packaging machine, the reclosing devices arranged on the inside of the bag can negatively influence the machinability due to their material thickness, which is why a filling device has to be adapted accordingly. For bags with a narrow gusset handling is due to the relatively small removal opening the need for improvement.

The publication US 6,007,246 relates to a resealable foil packaging bag with the features described above. By separating a corner of the film packaging bag, a removal opening is formed, which can be reclosed by a closure strip having profile strips. The removal of contents through the comparatively small removal opening is difficult.

Against this background, the invention has for its object to provide a film packaging bag, which allows the removal of subsets, easy to handle and inexpensive to manufacture. In particular, good machinability should also be ensured in the case of prefabricated film packaging bags which are provided for filling in a filling device.

Starting from a film packaging bag with the features described above, the object is achieved in that in the removal area on the front and rear walls each rupturable line of weakness is arranged that are provided on the inside of the bag film labels, each on both sides of one of the weakening lines on the inside of the bag are fastened and in the region of the associated weakening line have an expansion fold, wherein the limited by the weakening lines portion of the removal region to form a chute can be folded out and in which case the respective slots formed in the front wall and the rear wall are bridged by the expansion folds on the lines of weakness. According to the invention, a large removal opening is formed in that the removal region can be pulled out accordion-like due to the expansion folds of the foil strip. In the removal state, the expansion folds are then usually stretched at least in sections.

In order to form the chute in an initially tightly closed foil packaging bag, the head section is opened or at least removed in the removal area. The head section may for this purpose have a tearable sealing seam or a weakening line in order to be torn or torn off at least in the removal area by hand. In addition, it can also be provided to cut off the head section completely or only in the removal area. The lines of weakness to be cut through to form the chute expediently end at a distance in front of the first side edge, so that the side edge is not severed when the chute is folded out, in which case the pivot point of the fold-out chute lies approximately in extension of the weakening lines at or in the region of the first side edge , The drawn out chute can be folded back after removal of contents. The removal opening is closed by the recombined expansion folds to a certain extent. The inventive design of the removal area is often sufficient to avoid an impairment of the contents over a longer storage period. If the packaging bag falls over after its opening or is deposited on one side during handling, the embodiment of the removal region according to the invention prevents the filling material from escaping through the folded-in chute. By extending the chute, however, a large-area removal opening is formed, so that even coarse-sized contents can be easily removed or distributed. The weakening lines which run obliquely in the removal region can be formed as a perforation or embossing. Additionally or alternatively, material removal, for example by means of a laser, may also be provided within the scope of the invention. When folding out the chute V-shaped slots are formed on the front and rear wall, which leak pointed in the direction of the first longitudinal side. The dimension of the expansion folds determines how far the chute can be folded out.

The weakening lines for forming the chute are arranged with respect to the first longitudinal side in a preferred embodiment of the invention at an angle α between 10 ° and 45 °, more preferably between 20 ° and 35 °. According to the invention, a large chute can already be formed at a small angle α with a large expansion fold, and folding out is also easily possible. At a very large angle α, on the other hand, both the sealing and the handling deteriorate.

If it is intended to completely remove the head portion at a first opening is expediently provided below the head portion an additional, laterally of the removal region subsequent transverse seam.

Preferably, the film packaging bag is designed as a side-folding bag, wherein side folds are inserted on the longitudinal sides between the front wall and the rear wall. The side fold arranged on the first longitudinal side can then be pulled out in addition to the formation of a particularly large chute. Gusseted bags are also characterized by a large capacity and good stackability.

Regardless of the configuration as a gusseted bag in which the front wall and the rear wall are connected by gussets, or as a foil packaging bag, in which the front wall and the rear wall are directly connected, the longitudinal sides can be advantageously provided with longitudinal sealing seams. Due to the longitudinal sealing seams, the longitudinal sides are stiffened, so that self-standing film packaging bags can be formed with a high-quality appearance.

To improve the closure of the film packaging bag after a first opening, it may be provided to fold over the removal area after the removal of contents. For this purpose, a loop may be formed on the front wall and / or the rear wall adjacent to the weakening line running there, behind which the section of the removal region delimited by the weakening line can be inserted after a first opening. As a loop, a separate film strip on the front wall or the rear wall may be attached. Preferably, however, it is provided that the loop is formed by at least one cut in the front wall or the rear wall, wherein the loop is covered on the inside of the bag by the foil tape associated with the front wall or the rear wall.

The front wall, the rear wall and the optionally provided gussets can each be formed by individual foil sheets. Preferably, however, it is provided that the foil packaging bag from a common To form bag film by folding and sealing. The bag film is then preferably formed at least two layers with a heat-sealable layer on the inside of the bag. The bag outside can be formed from a difficult or impossible sealable material. The inner surface of the bag film may for example be formed from a good sealable polyolefin. As a bag film, for example, composite films having an outer surface of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and an inner surface of polyethylene (PE) are suitable. Between the inner surface and the outer surface further film layers can be arranged without any restrictions to increase the stability and / or the barrier effect. In order to achieve a particularly good barrier effect with respect to various gases, moisture and aromas, for example, a thin metal layer may be provided. Also composite materials with layers of different polymers can be used in the invention, wherein preferably the polymer composition of the inner surface is designed such that at a suitable sealing temperature melts only the inner surface. For example, composites of coextruded polyethylene or multi-layer laminated sheets of high density polyethylene (HDPE) are suitable. Such films are characterized by a good tensile, tear and dielectric strength. According to the invention, the entire foil bag can be made of polyethylene and therefore easily recycled.

The film layer lying on the outer surface is typically printed on its outer or inner side. When printed on the inside of this is applied before lamination of the outer layer with at least one further, inner layer and is protected in the manufactured film packaging bag by its internal arrangement against abrasion. When printed on the outside, optionally a thin layer of a protective lacquer may be provided to protect the printed image.

The sheets of film are preferably attached to both sides of the associated weakening line by heat sealing and should therefore be easy to seal against the inside of the bag at least on one side. Preferably, the foil sheets also have a certain rigidity, so that the chute after use can be reliably folded back and held in the closed position. As well as the bag film, the film strips may be multi-layered and have, in addition to a first layer of polyethylene, a second layer of polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate or oriented polypropylene. If it is provided to seal the foil tape on optionally provided longitudinal sealing seams, the foil tape must be heat-sealable on both sides. Suitable examples are single or multi-layer polyethylene films.

In order to improve the handling of the film packaging bag according to the invention, this may have a carrying handle, which is preferably arranged on the head portion or the second longitudinal side.

The invention also provides a method for producing the above-described packaging bag, wherein pairs of weakening lines are introduced into a film web, which are oriented obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the film web, wherein at the weakening lines a sheet of foil provided with an expansion fold is attached to the film web, a first zone adjoining the expansion fold of the film pile is arranged on one side of the weakening line and a second zone adjoining the expansion fold on the other side of the weakening line, wherein from the film web by folding and sealing a flattened film tube having a front wall and a rear wall is formed such that the mutually associated weakening lines are arranged one above the other lying on the front wall and the rear wall and wherein from the film tube individual foil packaging bags are separated.

Preferably, in the region of the weakening lines, in each case a foil strip is fed to form a stretch fold, the individual foil strips then being separated from the foil strip. The attachment of the sheet of foil, for example, by gluing or preferably by sealing. In order to be able to produce the respective connection extending laterally between the film sheets and the film web, the formed expansion fold is expediently oriented initially perpendicular to the plane of the film web and is then laid flat after being fastened to the film web.

Further preferred embodiments of the method according to the invention are subject matter of the claims 14 to 17. In particular, can be separated from the formed film tube at its lower end open foil packaging bags, which are provided for subsequent filling in a filling device. Since in the embodiment according to the invention, the thickness of the film bag is increased only insignificantly in the rupturable removal region, a good machinability of prefabricated film packaging bags is achieved.

Fig. 1a shows a film packaging bag 1 according to the invention with a front wall 2, a rear wall 3, a closed by a transverse seam 4 head portion 5 and a rupturable removal portion 6, which extends on one side of the film packaging bag 1 from a first longitudinal side 7a to the head portion 5. In the removal region 6 is on the front wall 2 and the rear wall 3 each a tearable, obliquely to the first longitudinal side 7a extending line of weakness. 8 arranged, which may be formed for example as a perforation. On the inside of the bag, film strips 9, 9 'are provided, which are fastened on both sides of one of the weakening lines 8 on the inside of the bag and have an expansion fold 10 in the region of the associated weakening line 8.

Again Fig. 1b can be seen, the limited by the weakening lines 8 portion of the removal region 6 to form a chute 11 folded out, in which case in the folded state, each formed on the lines of weakness 8 V-shaped slots 12 in the front wall 2 and the rear wall 3 by the in Removal state stretched expansion creases 10 are bridged. In order to form the chute 11, a part of the Head section 5 above the removal region 6 along a perforation 13 removed. Alternatively, it can also be provided to cut off the head section 5 completely or partially. In order to ensure a certain protection of remaining in the film packaging bag 1 filling after removal of a subset of the chute 11 can be folded again, in which case the expansion folds 10 as in the in Fig. 1a shown initial state are folded again. As a result of the expansion folds 10 lying inside in the closed state of the chute 11, a good closure of the foil packaging bag 1 is achieved overall.

The lines of weakness 8 are arranged with respect to the first longitudinal side 7a at an angle α of about 30 °. The front wall 2 and the rear wall 3 are connected to each other at the longitudinal sides 7a, 7b by longitudinal sealing seams 14, 14 '. The weakening lines 8 end in front of the first longitudinal side 7a. The expansion folds 10 preferably extend in a pointed manner in the direction of the first longitudinal side 7a in accordance with the shape of the V-shaped slots 12, with the height h of the expansion folds 10 correspondingly increasing starting from the first longitudinal side 7a. The maximum height h max determines, as in Fig. 2b shown how far the chute 11 can be folded out.

The Fig. 2a to 2c show a designed as a gusseted bag film bag 1. The front wall 2 and the rear wall 3 are connected by inserted gussets 15 together. To start from the in Fig. 2a shown closed foil packaging bag 1 to fold out the chute 11, the entire head portion 5 is first demolished along a perforation 13 '. Thus, the film packaging bag 1 is closed laterally of the removal region 6 at its top, an additional, laterally adjoining the removal region 6 transverse seam 4 'is provided below the head portion 5, which is preferably formed as all other connecting seams as a heat seal seam. In which When the chute 11 is folded out, the upper end of the side fold 15a arranged on the first longitudinal side 7a is also folded out so that a particularly large removal opening is created. To improve after a first opening the closure of the foil packaging bag 1, as in Fig. 2c shown, provided to fold the removal area 6 after the removal of contents. The limited by the weakening lines 8 section of the removal region 6 is thereby inserted into a loop 16 which is formed by two cuts 17 in the front wall 2. The loop 16 formed by the cuts 17 is thereby covered on the inside of the bag by the film label 9 arranged on the front wall 2. To be able to easily transport the film packaging bag 1, a carrying handle 18 is sealed on the side fold 15b of the second longitudinal side 7b.

The Indian Fig. 3 illustrated sectional view along the line AA of Fig. 2a It can be seen that the front wall 2, the rear wall 3 and the side folds 15a, 15b of the film packaging bag 1 are formed by folding and sealing. By the longitudinal sealing seams 14, 14 'on the longitudinal sides 7a, 7b of the film packaging bag 1 a stiffening and in the filled state improved stability are achieved. In addition, the edges of the bag film are connected to one another at a longitudinal sealing seam 14 '.

The individual process steps for the production of the film packaging bag are in the Fig. 4 shown schematically. First, a film web 19 of a bag film is fed and provided at a uniform distance with two obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the web 19 extending lines of weakness r 8. Subsequently, foil strips 20 are fed laterally. In the area of the weakening lines 8 folding and guide plates 21 are provided for the film strips 20, which form a stretch crease 10 in the film strip 20, wherein the height h of the expansion fold 10 increases in the direction of movement of the film strip 20. The film strips 20 are fed cyclically and each laterally of the first aligned perpendicular to the plane of the web 19 elongated crease 10 sealed. Subsequently, individual film strips 9, 9 'are separated from the film strips 20. In order to facilitate the further transport of the film web 19 provided with the film sheets 9, 9 ', the expansion folds 10 are subsequently laid flat. At one of the weakening lines, the applied foil tape 9 also covers previously formed cuts 17.

From the material web 19, a flattened film tube 22 with a front wall 2, a rear wall 3 and interposed side folds 15a, 15b is then formed by folding and sealing such that the respective two weakening lines 8 are arranged one above the other lying on the front wall 2 and the rear wall 3 , Subsequently, longitudinal reinforcement seams 14, 14 'are produced for reinforcement on the longitudinal sides 7a, 7b, wherein the edges of the bag film are also connected to one of the longitudinal sealing seams 14'. Furthermore, a first transverse seam 4 'and above a second transverse seam 4 are generated. Between the first and second transverse seams 4, 4 ', a perforation 13' is provided, which has already been produced before. At the second transverse seam 4, the film tube 22 is severed, so that open film packaging bags 1 are formed at the lower end.
