Description

The invention relates to a foil bag with bag surfaces and at least one carrying handle made of a heat-sealable film, wherein the bag surfaces have a bag-inside layer of a heat-sealable material. The foil bag can be designed, for example, as an open carrying bag or as a closed foil packaging bag. With the help of the carrying handle even large and heavily loaded foil bags can be easily transported. Film packaging bags are particularly suitable for packaging bulk goods such as pelleted pet food, detergents, cat litter, road salt or powdery or granular construction materials.

A trained as a carrying bag foil bag with the features described above and a method for producing the foil bag are from the document DE 101 37 844 A1 known. On the bag inner side layer of the film bag reinforcing strips are sealed in the described manufacturing process. Subsequently, two handles on the inside of the bag are then heat sealed to the reinforcing strip. The sealed on the inner surface of the film handles extend at the top, open edge of the bag.

A designed as a gusseted bag, closed packaging bag made of paper or plastic is from the document DE 93 05 817 U1 known. A carrying handle is adhered to an inner surface of the packaging bag on a transverse connecting strip. The bag can be opened by means of a tearing thread which extends in the vertical direction.

The invention has for its object to provide a film bag with the features described above, in which a flexible arrangement of Carrying handle is possible with a largely free design of the bag outside.

The object is solved by the features of claim 1. The openings and thus also the ends of the at least one carrying handle can be placed anywhere on the bag surfaces of the foil bag, for. B. the front surfaces are positioned. Since neither the foil sheets nor the ends of the carrying handle are connected to the outer surface of the film bag, suitable foils for the film bag, which can be determined largely freely with respect to the outer material.

Preferably, one end of the carrying handle is assigned to exactly one sheet of foil. In principle, however, other embodiments are possible. For example, two openings in one of the front walls may be covered by a common foil strip sealed onto the inner surface of the film. Also preferred is an embodiment in which the film bag has two carrying handles, wherein in each case a carrying handle is arranged on each front surface of the film bag. By such an arrangement a uniform weight distribution is achieved and the upper edge of the film bag is easily accessible.

In particular, if a direct sealing of the carrying handle on the outer surface of the film is disadvantageous or not possible, the inventive design of the film bag allows a secure attachment of the at least one Carrying handle. Thus, the outer surface of the film may have a polymer composition which is difficult or impossible to seal and / or a coating with a printing ink or a protective lacquer. Even with a heat-sealable monofilm, direct sealing of the carrying handle to the outer surface may be disadvantageous since material weakenings occurring in the region of the seal can lead to a reduction in the maximum load of the film pouch. In the context of the invention, the film bag can be designed as an open at the top of carrying bag or as a closed, tear-open film packaging bag. In a preferred embodiment, a reclosure is arranged above the ends of the at least one carrying handle. The reclosure is expediently arranged on the heat-sealable inner surface of the film. Typically, such a reclosure on two strip-shaped closure elements, wherein one of the closure elements has a groove which engages in a protrusion of the other closure element by clamping. To facilitate the opening or closing movement while a slide can be provided. Alternatively or additionally, a closure by an adhesive strip is possible. In one embodiment as a carrying bag can be temporarily closed by re-closing the foil bag. In the case of a film bag designed as a film packaging bag, the reclosure makes it possible to re-close after the film bag has been torn open, as a result of which the storability of the material remaining in the bag can be increased. In contrast to known foil bags, in which the carrying handle at the upper end of the bag extends from the inside of the bag, the inventive design allows a largely independent and free positioning of the reclosure on the one hand and the at least one carrying handle on the other hand, whereby the production and handling of the foil bag facilitates become.

The foil strips must overlap the respective associated opening to the extent that a foil overlap region which is sufficient for heat sealing and the foil adjoining the opening is available around the opening. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the foil strips are fastened to the bag surfaces on the bag-inside layer by a continuous, self-contained sealed seam which surrounds the associated opening. On the one hand, a continuous, self-contained sealed seam ensures a high load-bearing capacity and, on the other hand, makes it possible to seal the opening airtight, in particular in the case of a film bag designed as a foil packaging bag. The shape of the openings and the foil strip is not limited within the scope of the invention. The openings and foil strips can be made, for example, round, angular or even oval.

In the context of the invention, the ends of the at least one carrying handle can each be connected by a self-contained sealed seam with the associated foil sheet. Like the sealing seam described above between the film strip and the bag-inside layer of the film bag, this closed sealing seam can be round, oval or rectangular with preferably rounded corners. A continuous, self-contained and sufficiently wide sealed seam ensures a secure attachment of the ends of the at least one carrying handle to the associated foil slips.

The first side of the film pile and the heat-sealable layer on the inside of the bag on the one hand and / or the first side of the film pile and the associated side of the carrying handle sealed onto the film strip are preferably made of the same polymer or a similar polymer to ensure good sealability. Foil, foil and handle can be coextruded or laminated without restriction in two or more layers. In the context of the invention, the foil tape, the film from the the foil bag is made, and the carrying handle have a same structure. Preferably, however, the thickness, the structure and the composition of the foil strip, the foil of the foil pouch and the at least one carrying handle are precisely matched to the respective function. For example, the film tabs and / or the at least one carrying handle, in particular to increase the carrying capacity, can also be formed from a multilayer coextruded or laminated film and / or fiber-reinforced. Since the load is distributed by the carrying handle on the foil tape surface on the front walls, a very uniform force distribution can be achieved.

The film from which the film bag is made must have sufficient sealability on its inner surface for connection to the film sheets. The bag surfaces preferably consist of an at least two-layer composite film which has a polyolefinic inner layer and a non-sealable outer layer. The composite film has, for example, an inner layer of a polymer from the group polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene copolymer, polypropylene copolymer and mixtures of these polymers and an outer layer of a polymer from the group polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and biaxially oriented polypropylene (BO-PP). The inner layer has a very good sealability, in particular if the first side of the heat-sealable film strip consists of the same polymer or is based on the same polymer. The outer layer does not have to be sealable. Both PET and BO-PP are characterized by good printability and good mechanical properties. An imprint may be provided on the outside or in the case of a laminated film on the inside of the second film layer forming the outer surface. Between the first film layer and the second film layer, it is also possible to arrange further functional layers or adhesion promoter layers. Preferably, the sealable first film layer has a lower melting temperature than the second film layer, so that at a suitable sealing temperature only the first Foil layer melts. The melting temperature can be precisely adjusted by selecting a copolymer or a polymer blend.

Since the outer surface of the film from which the film bag is made, can be made largely free, the bag outside in the context of the invention may have a particularly appealing, high-quality appearance. In order not to diminish the high-quality appearance of the film bag, it is preferably provided that the ends of the at least one carrying handle completely obscure the respectively associated openings on the outside of the bag, so that the underlying foil strip is not visible. Starting from its ends, the carrying handle extends outside the associated front wall. He limits the front wall in a bulging and heavily loaded foil bag, whereby the upper edge of the foil bag is supported and also the risk of tearing off the carrying handle is reduced. The carrying handle can consist of a simple foil strip. It may be angled angularly at its central portion or run along a U-shaped arc.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the film bag is formed by folding and sealing the film as gusseted bags and has gussets which connect the lateral edges of the front walls. In the context of this embodiment, the foil bag in the filled state is approximately cuboid and can be worn and placed so easily and space-saving.

In an alternative embodiment of the invention, it is provided that two front surfaces are connected directly to one another along marginal sealing seams.

In Fig. 1 is a film bag designed as a foil pouch 1 with two formed of a film 2 front walls 3 and two heat-sealable handles 4 shown. The film 2 has a bag-inside layer 5 of a heat-sealable material. The front walls 3 or bag surfaces contain window-like, spaced from the edges of the foil bag 1 openings 7, which are each covered by exactly one associated foil 8. The film tabs 8 are each sealed with a heat sealable first side 9 in an area surrounding the opening 7 on the bag inner side layer 5 of the film 2, wherein ends 10 of the handles 4 each within an associated opening 7 on the heat-sealable first side 9 of the opening. 7 covering foil 8 are sealed. Each of the carrying handles 4 is associated with one of the front walls 3. The trained as a gusseted bag foil bag 1 can be easily carried, put down and stacked. Above the openings 7 and below the upper, closed by a heat seal seam edge 11 of the film bag 1 behind a line of weakness 12 on the bag inside layer 5 of the film 2 aufgesiegelter reclosure 13 with strip-shaped closure elements 14, 14 'are arranged. The sealed within the associated openings 7 on the first side 9 of the opening 7 covering foil 8 8 ends 10 of the carrying handles 4 cover the openings 7 completely, so that the foil strips 8 are not visible on the outside of the bag. The foil bag 1 has an imprint 15 visible on the outside of the bag.

Fig. 2 shows the in Fig. 1 shown foil pouch 1 in a perspective sectional view. The film 2, from which the film bag 1 is folded and sealed, consists of a composite film and has a bag-side layer 5 of a polyolefin, for. As polyethylene (PE), and an outer layer of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The PET layer is printed on the side facing the first layer 5. Between the bag-inside layer 5 and the outer layer, one or more intermediate layers, for example adhesion promoter layers and barrier layers, may be arranged. The window-like, approximately rectangular opening 7 is covered on the inside of the bag by the sheet of foil 8, which overlaps the opening 7 edge. In the overlapping region of the film sheet 8 is at its first side 9 with a continuous self-contained sealed seam 18 which surrounds the opening 7, attached to the bag inner side layer 5 of the film 2. The first side 9 of the foil 8 is like the inner surface 5 of the film 2 made of polyethylene (PE), whereby a good sealability is ensured. The film strip 8 has a multilayer structure, wherein a barrier layer, for example made of PET, may be provided on a second side 19 facing the inside of the bag for sealing the film bag 1. The carrying handle 4 consists for example of a polyethylene monofilm and is sealed at its end 10 on the outside of the bag along a continuous, self-contained sealed seam 18 'on the first side 9 of the film pile 8. The reclosure arranged above the opening 7 behind the weakening line 12 has a first strip-shaped closure element 14 with a projection which engages in a groove of the second strip-shaped closure element 14 '. The closure elements 14, 14 'are sealed on one of the front walls 3 on the bag inner side layer 5 of the film 2, wherein the second closure element 14' for attachment to the front wall 3 has a connecting portion.

Fig. 3 shows a trained as a carrier bag film bag 1, in which the front walls 3 connected along marginal seal seams 20 directly to each other are. The ends 10 of the carrying handles 4 do not completely cover the openings 7, so that a foil strip 8 covering both openings 7 on the inside of the bag is partly visible on the outside of the bag. The bag-inside layer 5 of the film 2 is formed from a first film layer of a polypropylene (PP) blend or a polypropylene copolymer, wherein the printed outer surface of the film 2 of a second film layer of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BO-PP) is formed. The polymer of the first film layer is chosen so that it has a lower melting temperature than the second film layer and is characterized by a very good sealability. The in Fig. 2 illustrated film 8 and the carrying handles 4 are formed as monofilms of the same polymer as the first film layer. The openings 7 are surrounded on the inside of the bag layer 5 of the film 2 by continuous, self-contained sealing seams 18, through which the film strip 8 is attached to the bag inner side layer 5 of the film 2. Furthermore, the two approximately rectangular sealing seams 18 are connected by two horizontally extending sealing seams 18 ", which results in a very high load-bearing capacity of the film bag 1. The ends 10 of the carrying handle 4 are each provided with a self-contained, approximately oval sealed seam 18 '. attached to the film strip 8. Above the openings 7 a reclosure 13 is arranged, with which the open at its upper edge 11 film bag 1 can be closed.
