Claims (7)

  1. Passenger transport railcar (1) comprising:

    - at least two complementary carriages (6, 14, 16) which are interposed between the pilot carriages (2) and the intermediate carriage (4), the carriages (6, 14, 16) comprising items of immovable equipment which are arranged below the floor of the carriages (6, 14, 16),
    characterised in that the complementary carriages (6, 14, 16) each comprise, below the floor, in addition to the immovable equipment, at least one free space (22) for receiving an item of equipment among a battery (24) or a compressor and a charger (26) or a high-voltage cabinet, said items of equipment being distributed in the free spaces (22), and in that the number of free spaces (22) over the entire railcar is greater than the number of items of equipment received by the spaces (22).
  2. Railcar according to claim 1, characterised in that the complementary carriages (6, 14, 16) comprise at least one motorised carriage (14) which comprises a traction cabinet (18) below the floor and at least one auxiliary carriage (16) which comprises auxiliary equipment (20) below the floor.
  3. Railcar according to claim 2, characterised in that the auxiliary carriage (16) comprises at least two free spaces (22) for receiving a battery (24) or a compressor (26).
  4. Railcar according to claim 3, characterised in that the free spaces (22) of the auxiliary carriage (16) are arranged at one side and the other of a centre plane of the auxiliary carriage (16).
  5. Railcar according to any one of claims 2 to 4, characterised in that the motorised carriage (14) comprises a free space (22) for receiving a battery (24), the space (22) being arranged at an extreme portion of the carriage (14).
  6. Railcar according to any one of claims 2 to 5, characterised in that at least some of the carriages (14, 16) further comprise at least one additional free space (22) for receiving a high-voltage cabinet .
  7. Railcar according to any one of claims 2 to 6, characterised in that the immovable items of equipment of the complementary carriages (6, 14, 16) are a WC tank, a medium-voltage cabinet, a traction cabinet and an item of pneumatic and/or electrical equipment.
