    Der verstellbare Hilfsausleger 5 wird über einen Adapter 4 an den Kopf des Hauptauslegers 3 angebaut (der Adapter ist für die Erfüllung der Aufgabe nicht zwingend nötig). Der Anbau erfolgt durch geeignetes Hilfsmittel, z. B. Hilfskran oder Stapler. Die beiden Wippstützen 8 und 9 liegen dabei aus Transportgründen flach auf dem Hilfsausleger 5. Das Hubseil 7 wird vom Haupthubwerk 10 des Mobilkranes abgewickelt und mit dem mehrgliedrigen Verbindungsstangenstrang 12 verbunden. Dieser Strang ist dauerhaft mit der unteren Wippstütze 8 verbunden. Beide Wippstützen sind untereinander durch einen Zugkraftgliedstrang 11 verbunden.

    Durch Aufwickeln des Hubseiles 7 auf das Hubwerk 10 beginnt sich der Aufstellbock 6 selbst aufzurichten, der Verbindungsstangenstrang 12 beginnt sich zunächst rechts vom Aufstellbock 6, dann auch links vom Aufstellbock 6 zu spannen, bis auch die untere Wippstütze 8 angehoben wird.

    - a tensile member strand (11) is provided between the lower luffing support (8) and the upper luffing support (9),

    - the lifting cable (7) is unwound from the main lifting gear (10) of the mobile crane and connected to the multi-member connecting rod strand (12),
