Die ersten Produkte 2 werden hängend über ein einer Führungsvorrichtung 7 vorgeschaltetes Leitorgan 8 an den freien Enden erfasst und entgegen der Förderrichtung F resp. nach hinten umgelenkt. Aufgrund des relativ kurzen Abstandes zwischen zwei Klammern, beispielsweise 4" oder 6" entsteht spätestens entlang der Führungsvorrichtung 7 ein geschuppter Förderstrom 9, in welchem jeweils das nachlaufende erste Produkt 2 das vorauslaufende erste Produkt 2 teilweise überdeckt. Die ersten Produkte 2 werden somit teilweise aufeinanderliegend entlang einer Führungslinie nachgeschleppt, wobei sich diese Führungslinie einen Förderkanal 10 bildend etwa senkrecht nach unten erstreckt. Durch den parallelen Verlauf der Führungslinie zur Fördervorrichtung 4 entsteht eine regelmässige Höhe des Förderkanals 10 im Bereich der Führungsvorrichtung 7. Am Ende der Führungsvorrichtung 7 schliesst an den Förderkanal 10 ein unterschlächtiger gekrümmter Förderbereich 11 an, der mit der Führungsvorrichtung 7 eine Führungsanordnung 20 bildet, die vor einer tangential an den gekrümmten unterschlächtigen Förderbereich 11 verlaufende Zuführvorrichtung 12 für zweite Produkte 3 endet. Die Zuführvorrichtung 12 für zweite Produkte 3 weist in Zuführrichtung Z umlaufende Förderbänder 13 auf, die die zweiten Produkte 3 von einem Magazin 14 übernehmen und in regelmässigen Abständen in den Mündungsbereich 15 der ersten Produkte 2 am Ende der Führungsanordnung 20 führen. Die Zuführung der zweiten Produkte 3 resp. der ersten Produkte 2 an der Mündung 15 erfolgt getaktet. An dem etwa horizontalen Zuführweg der zweiten Produkte 3 befindet sich eine Auftragsvorrichtung 16, mit der ein Haftmittel an die freistehende Oberfläche der zweiten Produkte 3 übertragen wird. Im Mündungsbereich 15 verlassen die ersten Produkte 2 die Führungsanordnung 20 vereinzelt und treffen auf dem zweiten Produkt 3 auf, das durch das aufgetragene Haftmittel mit dem ersten Produkt 2 vereint und gemeinsam mit diesem in einer Klammer 6 der Fördervorrichtung 4 weitertransportiert wird.
