Claims (15)

  1. A device for sequentially conveying print products (5) such as newspapers, periodicals or the like, which are fed approximately vertically and spaced apart from a take-off point (2) by means of a conveying apparatus, characterised in that at least one gripper (11) attached to a driven hub (10) is associated with the take-off point (2), which gripper is controlled so that it can be taken back by the periphery of the hub (10), which hub cooperates with a friction wheel (12) disposed downstream of the take-off point (2), and which gripper passes through a subsequent downstream space (13) which is intended for the controlled release of the print products (5) and which is delimited by conveying means driven in the same direction.
  2. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that the conveying apparatus (3) runs approximately parallel to the tangent to the periphery of the hub (10).
  3. A device according to claim 2, characterised in that a stabilising apparatus (6), which aligns the print products (5) into their take-off position, is disposed underneath the conveying apparatus (3).
  4. A device according to claim 3, characterised in that the stabilising apparatus (6) comprises a circulating endless pulling element (7) provided with carriers (8) accompanying the leaning ends of the print products (5).
  5. A device according to claims 3 or 4, characterised in that the stabilising apparatus (6) has a slope oriented towards the take-off point (2).
  6. A device according to any one of claims 3 to 5, characterised in that the stabilising apparatus (6) is connected in a driving manner to the hub (10).
  7. A device according to any one of claims 3 to 6, characterised in that the carriers (8) have a greater spacing and a higher speed of progressive movement than the print products (5) which are fed.
  8. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that the hub (10) and the conveying apparatus (3) are connected in a driving manner.
  9. A device according to any one of claims 3 to 7, characterised in that the conveying apparatus (3) has a guideway (17) which is constructed with an upwardly displaced section above the take-off point (2).
  10. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that the closed grippers (11) are constructed so that they can be lowered into recesses (18) disposed in the periphery of the hub (10).
  11. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the trailing gripper part (26) is constructed as a rejection device.
  12. A device according to claims 1 or 10, characterised in that the distance between the hub (10) and the friction wheel (12) is of adjustable design.
  13. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that a front-feed gap (19) facing the take-off point (2) and formed by the hub (10) and the friction wheel (12) has a guide surface (20) at a distance from the periphery of the hub (10).
  14. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that the end of the space (13) directed downstream is formed by a deflection roller (14) which receives at least one endless drive belt (22).
  15. A device according to claim 14, characterised in that an endless guide belt (23) seated against the deflection roller (14) is provided in the deflection region between two drive belts (22).
